Now, before somebody complains that I broke the FS rule, I'd like to remind them that it wasn't necessary to counter Kangaskhan, therefore I'm allowed to have it.

If I hadn't been moving furniture with my dad, I would have made a note of this earlier. I'd like the records to show that the Absol up their (I believe I was the one who used it) was NOT Countered by Gallade, as Gallade would have not been able to outspeed it's Sword Danced Sucker Punch (aren't priority moves awesome), and would have been instantly killed by the attack.

However, because of how proud I am for the improvement in the counter he used, not to mention that the counter would have won if I hadn't used Sucker Punch and went with Night Slash, and because of how many people continued to play the thread (I really don't feel like being the downer that breaks the chain right now), I will overlook it this one time. :p Yall tried to do this to my Hariyama a while back too. :p

Sucker Punch

Yeah, I should be able to take a Focus Punch (which should be stronger than Fake out or PayBack) and the Double Hit on the second turn, allowing me to get in a Close Combat (which has a chance of a 1 hit kill) and then a Mach Punch (definite kill and outspeed).

I don't know why you would have Giga Drain on there to heal Muk...
166 Atk vs 256 Def & 281 HP (60 Base Power): 28 - 34 (9.96% - 12.10%)

Have fun healing 14-17 damage. I assume it's for switching purposes.

Btw:
Nidoking @ Life Orb
Rash / Poison Point
80 Atk / 252 SAtk / 176 Spe
-Earth Power
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Superpower

Poison Jab and Brick Break are resisted, Giga Drain does loldamage. Earth Power does 295 Atk vs 308 Def & 414 HP (90 Base Power): 242 - 288 (58.45% - 69.57%), a sure 2HKO.

Ambipom dies on the switch in due to close combat. Current counter is primeape.

Specifically, this primeape:
No it doesn't:
339 Atk vs 178 Def & 291 HP (120 Base Power): 246 - 289 (84.54% - 99.31%)

Fake Out:
328 Atk vs 166 Def & 271 HP (60 Base Power): 127 - 151 (46.86% - 55.72%)
1 attack Double Hit:
328 Atk vs 166 Def & 271 HP (52 Base Power): 111 - 132 (40.96% - 48.71%)

46.86%+40.96%+40.96% = 128.78% minimum.

Fail. Stop using Metalkid's calculator.

The current counter is Nidoking.

To the person who thought that Ambipom failed, please note the presences of the Berry. Don't you hate it when you oversite small things like that. Wouw is notorious for countering a Pokemon with something that is weak against it. He's an underdog. :p I still get scared of your Jumpluff killing my every Fire-Type Pokemon.

Hey, Marth. What Calculator do you use? Just out of curiosity. I get the same things as you, so I'm just wondering, so we can recommend it to other people. And yeah, Metalkid's Calculator does suck. I get better results just doing it by hand. :p

If no one has countered it by tonight, I'll counter Nidoking using this post. It should be a rule that people provide information on how much damage the counter is doing to it's enemy, so that we know for sure that the counter works.

I don't use the same website, but I do use the exact same calculator as you.

http://www.ownpurpose.com/libelldra/damage_calculator.html -Best Damage Calculator on the Net.

I like it because its decked out and black and junk. :p I'm playing RE5 with my dad, but I will rejoin the game later. :p

And yeah, we definitely need the people to have statistics to go with the data on how their counter works.

Ok I think I have one.. its coming and feel free to tell where I went wrong or if I am breakin t3h rules.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Sassy/Water Absorb
252 HP/252 SpDef/6Spd
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Encore

So... Thunderbolt won't work. Ice Beam is gonna do 28.93% - 34.26% so with leftovers that should be sweet as... super power does 32.99% - 39.09% and Earth power does 25.13% - 29.70%...
And Quagsire using Earthquake on Nidoking does 52.15% - 61.39% so yeah...
I think it might be close....
10) Don't assume max damage all the time.
I'm gonna apply this is my favour and say that Super Power is averaging 36% which means we are cool as cucumbers...

So Nido does 36: Quag at 64% total, then leftovers. Quag at 70%
Then Nido does 36: Quag at 34% total.
Then Quag does 56% (average): Nido at 44% total, then leftovers. Quag at 40%
Then Nido does 36: Quag at 6%
Quag does another 56% then leftovers but Nido has fainted anyway.

Just wanted to correct your calculations:
Superpower: 260 Atk vs 206 Def & 394 HP (120 Base Power): 141 - 167 (35.79% - 42.39%)
Thunderbolt: Lol.
Ice Beam: 295 Atk vs 251 Def & 394 HP (95 Base Power): 104 - 123 (26.40% - 31.22%)
Earth Power: 295 Atk vs 251 Def & 394 HP (90 Base Power): 148 - 175 (37.56% - 44.42%)

Earthquake: 206 Atk vs 190 Def & 303 HP (100 Base Power): 236 - 278 (77.89% - 91.75%)

You generally forgot about STAB and also must've miscalculated the stats.

HP Grass does 226 Atk vs 237 Def & 288 HP (70 Base Power): 24 - 29 (8.33% - 10.07%).
Flamethrower and WoW make me stronger.
Pain Split hurts you if both at max HP/close to max.

Ok then I don't think Quagsire works... I see he already has a counter though, but depending on whether Quagsire is valid I have a different Nidoking Counter, well... different can be defined in many ways...

No, it still works, as you would be able to OHKO Nidoking 74.36% of the time with EQ after 2 LO recoils, so it's fine.

Edit: Sorry just noticed errors. All good now.

Pokemon can not have 2 abilities. You probably ment for just Swift Swim, since you have Rain Dance. WaterAbsorb wouldn't help you much.

Toxicroak @ LifeOrb
Adamant/DrySkin
4hp/252attack/252speed
Sword Dance
Cross Chop
Stone Edge
Ice Punch

Yeah, I don't think I have a problem with switching in the Rain (you aren't outspeeding me without it) and killing you with Stone Edge. But unfortunately, someone is going to come in and turn the Sun on, and then Ember me to death. :p

Cheers for pointing that out.
Do you have EV's for your counter?
Edit: I'll assume Attack and Speed are maxed out... coz thats pretty common.

We need to pause this game. People are going so fast it's insane... and mistakes are more likely made when you're rushing at the speed of Super Sonic...

Poison Jab pretty much fails, and Earthquake is death. If you Cross Chop I'm alive and Resting (unless you SD beforehand, but prediction can only go so far).

You know that this fails..... Since I'm easily faster than you, I can Sword Dance while you switch in, and then end it with a Stab-Super Effective Life Orb Cross Chop. You can't Sleep through it. You can Rest, but by that, I mean Toxicroak will make Registeel Rest in Peace. A counter must work under all conditions, or else it isn't much of a counter.... And in the above scenario...

684 Atk vs 438 Def & 364 HP (100 Base Power): 438 - 516 (120.33% - 141.76%)

Yeah, even if I did minimal damage (a Counter has to be able to survive Max Damage though. If there is a chance it fails, it doesn't really work), you'll still be unable to live through the Sword Danced Cross Chop.

Come on, I was proud of some of your more recent tries... give this one another go..

Vs. *name* is good enough.

Also, about when you quoted that 'don't assume max damage all the time rule', it's no longer valid; now max is assumed for the opponent and min for the counter.
That also needs to be edited in. (although Pink Reaper is not really active here... Mods? Hello?)

Houndoom @ Life orb
Modest/ Flash Fire
4 HP/252 Sp. ATK/252 Speed
Dark Pulse
Fire Blast
HP Fighting
Nasty Plot

Ninetails damage:
Houndoom HP: 292
Hypnosis and flamethrower do nothing.
Energy ball: Average 55 damage
Energy ball+Nasty Plot: 108 average
Energy Ball +2 Nasty Plots: 162 average

Houndoom damage:
Ninetales HP: 287
Dark Pulse: Average 182 Damage
Dark pulse with at least one Nasty Plot: >287 average damage

You get to use three moves. The best you can do is use nasty plot once and use energy ball twice for 216 damage. Houndoom survives and gets a 2HKO.

I only wrote this out because people seem to want explanations as to why counters work...
:flame:
I thought the last Pokemon was suppost to be a Regirock...

and also, how exactly does Hypnosis do nothing? Does it not work at all agaisnt Dark Types? I thought that it did. This is just for my personal benefit.

ALSO! I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN! YOU GUYS TRIED TO SKIP MY HARIYAMA, I WAS NICE ENOUGH TO LET YOU SKIP MY ABSOL, BUT THIS IS THE 3RD TIME YOU'VE TRIED TO POST A COUNTER THAT DIDN'T WORK AND JUST KEPT GOING WITH IT!

Toxicroak destroys Moltres. It outspeeds, gets a Sword Dance on the Switch, and Murders with Stone Edge. 684 Atk vs 279 Def & 384 HP (100 Base Power): 700 - 828 (182.29% - 215.63%) And that is without factoring in Life Orb (which doesn't hurt Toxicroak for 3 turns due to the Rain and Dry Skin).

Also, Regirock can't pretend to do it either. Sword Dance into Cross Chop Combo slaughters him too. 684 Atk vs 436 Def & 364 HP (100 Base Power): 438 - 516 (120.33% - 141.76%)

Dang it people, get your frigging counters right! This is annoying! Counter Toxicroak. -.-
