I used to play in a metal/hardcore band. We actually recorded with a decent engineer and got good results. Let me know if you're interested and I can email you the tracks. What's Machinima?

the game aint in me no more
why is it a 'debut' ep
he's released albums before

it is really good though and easily the best thing he's released. i'm pretty impressed by his singing too, i didnt expect him to be able to pull it off as well as he does.

Some 8-bit tunes I've been grooving to:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OkiLiuw5aQ Game sucks, but has good music
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9tU1i-b6Bs Is actually a remix of a Commodore 64 track
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-hk3qNUXoY This game is better than Legend of Zelda

Also, some guys from 1-up tracked down the composer of the music from Contra and other early Konami games and interview him. He talks about the state of the industry at the time and comments on some of his old tunes.

I decided to listen to Lou Reed's New York a while ago after having forgotten about it for a few years. I've always liked, but it holds up even better than I thought it would.

Arrangements of what? If you just want good piano pieces in general, I'll list some that I really like.

-Beethoven's 32nd piano sonata is my favorite piano piece and one of my favorite pieces of music in general. All of Beethoven's other late period piano sonatas are amazing, too.

-Charles Ives' Concord Sonata is a great a piano piece that is probably my favorite musical work from the USA.

-Scriabin's piano pieces in general are extremely interesting and very unique. His middle and late period works are particularly cool.

-Ligeti's two books of piano etudes are great.

-Nancarrow's works for prepared piano are awesome, although that might not be quite what you have in mind. Speaking of similarly strange piano works, Reich's piano phase and John Cage's prepared piano works are neat.

The amount of excellent piano music out there is huge.
