it tickles my inards to know that if anything at all, Ike is more gay than Marth.....cause most people think hes way more Manly than Marth. infact to go along with said statement of Ike's conversations in Radiant Dawn, every time one of the women hits on him he acts totally disgusted
oh yeah btw.... I think we can all sort of partially agree on the fact that in RD Ike may have been persuaded to become gay. Get an A support with Sorren, then at the end I believe Ike goes off into the desert with about 3 other men... (correct my if I'm wrong though [not just yet, I just started the last chapter)

I wouldn't say he acts disgusted per se, just that he tends not to notice it. Hes completely oblivious to Marcia's compliments early on, that much is clear, and he seems to utterly miss Lethe and Elincia's interest up until their A supports (and even then theres only vague evidence that he notices or reciprocates the interest).

As for the music, not sure. I know there was someone who posted about that here earlier though, so maybe they can answer you.

I completely support your arguments for Marth being in Brawl.
He's a great character, and I found out some things that I didn't already know about him from reading this thread (for instance, his popularity).
Marth for Brawl!!

I guess that they just wanted to emphasize the fact that the characters are older. They kinda overdid it with some characters though (Mia grew quite a bit in 3 years.)

In melee if all players hold down R and L as Hyrule Temple is loading it will play the FE theme. Do you think that the confrimation of Hyrule Temple in Brawl has any significance concerning Marth or any other FE character for that matter?

Yeah, the temple was just assigned as Marth and Roy's "stage" in Melee because the rushed development prevented an actual FE stage from being completed and the temple fit the general theme best. With Brawl bringing at least one, and probably 2 or more real FE-based stages with it, theres no reason the temple will be associated with FE anymore.

I wonder what will happen to Roy...and Marth
Its not precisely a mystery. Logically, Marth is almost guaranteed to return due to his popularity and importance to the series (not to mention the utter lack of reasons to remove him), while Roy is almost as surely gone, due to lacking either of those and his reason for being in Melee, which was to advertise for his game, no longer being valid.

If you mean why they stopped making FE continuations with them in it, Nintendo won't answer. four years ago I actually sent them an e-mail asking about it. They're response was somthing like this "We don't have the time or resources to do such an in-depth search of our company"

However we all know that with the FE3 remake Marth will be finally making a comeback!

True, but it also has black boots, a blue cape, and I think I noticed some gold-and-black trim with the white outfit (my eyes may be playing tricks on me on that one though), all of which is characteristic of Sigurd's outfit. Personally, I'd say its arguable, and we'll just have to wait for the game to come out to find out for sure.

@ thethirdkoopa - The "[thread=121720]Ike's Alternate Costumes Thread[/thread]" in the Ike sub-forum has the best image capture of that costume from the E for All videos, and even it is too blurry for precise details. There is also one of the videos where you get a very brief close-up of Ike in that outfit when Pit uses his final smash (the camera zooms in on him when he activates it, and Ike happens to be right beside him at the time - image captures of that always end up very blurry though since its such a quick thing).

...no, thats not what I meant. I'm actually not quite sure what you're talking about there. Are you talking about Nintendo not using them in more FE games than they already have? Because I should think thats obviously just in the nature of the series - each main character gets usually only one game, two if they're really popular and/or Intelligent Systems has a story set up that takes two games to tell. If you're talking about something else, I'm afraid I don't follow.

Bump de mumb bumb.

Say, In the new FE DS....Who do you think Marth will get as a love interest other than Sheeda?? (If support is added, which it should).
You mean like Ike falling in love with Sorren or Lethe? Yeah I think it might be possible... personally I don't approve of some of the various relationships that they try to set up withing the game, but I can't really help it (Except for kill off the people I don't like)

And FE9, and yes, he was. Homo or bisexual characters are a fairly common theme in Fire Emblem - in FE7 (the first US one) for instance there were two such pairings, Lyn with Florina and Lucius with Raven, which were poorly covered up in the English version. In Radiant Dawn Heather is a fairly blatant lesbian, although shes not given an obvious pairing or special ending with anyone, and Ike and Soren are implied to have such a relationship as well, including them having a difficult-to-unlock conversation just before the final level.

No, but they were mentioned to be engaged at the beginning of book 2 in Mystery of the Emblem, so they were probably married afterwards.

Not to mention that Lyn was only 15 in the Japanese version. Incest is another wierd theme in FE as well (points to Erika and Ephraim's implied but never confirmed love for each other).

The more you know...

Aye, there was also Raven and Priscilla in Blazing Sword if memory serves. Their A support is suspect at best, at least on Priscilla's part (though Raven is never really talkative anyway), plus in their C support she brings up how when they were kids he had given her a ring and promised to marry her when they grew up.

Nothing new about the game has been revealed since it was announced.

@ raphtmarqui - I wish. Doubt it though - at the absolute least I can't see it happening before Captain Falcon.

Then why the **** does it say it's international? Also, it says FE DS has WiFi. Revise it with facts, not assumptions please.

The fact that it will have Wifi was revealed at the same time as the game itself - thats no assumption. And if you read, you'll note I mentioned that while whether or not it will be international hasn't been revealed yet, its a safe assumption that it will be, since all FE games since Blazing Sword have been, and Marth already has a fan following outside of Japan thanks to Melee, which gives it an even more solid market internationally than the other FE games would have.

I'd love to see the proof, and also you cannot just assume that. Most Japan Only games are Japan Only because they're too difficult for other country players, yes, Japan is racist. I read that from somewhere, I forget where but it's a trusty source I bet.
