@Eleghor:

Overall, your mario is pretty good. I can tell that you got tons of ganon matchup exp.
Just mixup your ledge options....mario has more then one, lol.

Oh, on pokemon stadium 1....Dont wall jump under the ledge so much...9 times outta 10
you'll get stage spike. a smart player will read that like a children's book & punish it.

Coolwhip's tip: If you wall jump under ps1, just follow up with uair...mario's foot is big enough to hit anyone
on top of the ledge.

I'd really appreciate some advice, especially in the Zelda matchup because I really want to get better. Also, sorry about taking the format of your post, stack. I just thought the coincidence of the videos I was about to post was hilarious. When I got to the video thread I seriously thought someone posted my videos. I was like...wtf.

Holy ****, you've gotten a lot better, Veggi. I can tell just by watching those vids that you have a good handle on Mario's movements.

I guess I'll write something up later, but I'm really impressed with your Mario dude.

Thanks! I'm really focused on getting better with Mario and it helps I have videos now. My biggest mistake: when I got caught in Zelda's dtilt lock I would move from right to down right on the control stick as fast as I could, when I should have been moving from right to up-right so I didn't get blasted to where Marios never return. Also, thinking Zelda is too slow to punish Mario's fsmash. She's definitely not, lol.

When is this thread gonna be updated? I have quite a few videos in here that aren't uploaded into the OP. I'll be adding a video of me vs Hilt soon too. Close match from tourney last saturday. I lost but it was close at least. That Olimar MU is one that I've definitely gotten a lot better at. Now I need to work on Falco… Sorasin made me feel helpless… But I've been watching 2Fast over and over when he played GIMR. I am learning quite a bit.

Being sarcastic and pointing out the obvious.
Another vid that could be put in the OP… Even though I know he's gonna be banned and it's not the most recent video of me... lol

steep (Mario) vs Kirikou Rung (MK)

Forgot about this. When he started getting momentum, I should've backed off and used Fireballs to limit his mobility more.

Next time Brawlman1000 comes to a tournament, I'll get a set of his sonic vs. my mario recorded.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQXxNyk_cjc here is a friendly vs Luckay lol did some pretty dumb stuff here and then he troll usmashes me at the end etc.

Going to try to get the replays of the MM I had with Ally where he destroyed me with his Snake.
updated all of this. hopefully I didn't mess anything up :p lol

I saved a couple wifi games of me vs Coolwhip… would you guys wanna see them? I only saved a couple and they were both wins for me. We went even in pretty much all of our games so that wasn't the norm but they have some good moments on both our parts and if we could get some critiques in that would be great! Also, it's up to Coolwhip if he wants them uploaded too.

Speaking of this, do you double b reverse your fireballs sometimes Flameleon? I watched some of the live stream and you looked like you were double b reversing.

So how do you do a double b reverse? I understand that it is b reversing really fast but do you have any tips on how to master it?

-It's kinda hard to explain, facing right: hold foward for a sec, then push back-foward, then B, and finally hold back, so u can move backwards while throwing the fireball...practice it...then, after the first fireball is out and the animation is done, just do the same but backwards...-

^ This. Basically, it's combining a Turn Around and a B Reversal. If you normally hold the opposite direction of which you're facing before using a fireball, or any other special at that, you'll turn and face that direction when you use said special. Also, if you normally press in the opposite direction of which you are facing directly after using a special, you'll reverse all your momentum into the opposite direction, and face the other way as well. A Double B Reversal is combining both of those together into one, so you're reversing the direction you're facing, then changing the direction you're facing again immediately after as well as also reversing your momentum.

^ This is correct, just make sure when you press B the control stick is in a neutral position, and you also have to do it kinda fast. It's not too hard once you get it down, but getting used to it takes a bit of practice.

Yeah I worked on it for about 15 minutes today and I can do it relatively easily on command now. It's not too bad once you get the hang of it. Also, Jimmyfosho, I think the input combination that you said would be correct if you were facing LEFT, not right. Because your first input is the opposite direction from where you are facing.

Tip: Practice it in training mode at 1/2 speed so that you can get a feel for the delay and have a larger margin for error. Then take it up to full speed and it should be pretty easy to "see" the timing if that makes since.

This could be a very useful tech for many situations, not just helping us mix up our landing options. I am already experimenting with using it with getting onto the stage from the ledge (very useful out of jump from the ledge), as well as using it to ledge guard when hanging from the ledge, as it sends a fireball bouncing off the slant under the stage at more of a 45 degree angle instead of like straight down because your momentum from the double b reverse will carry you closer to the ledge before using the fireball.

You can actually do it the way Jimmy posted, or also do it the other direction as well, you just end up throwing the fireball/changing momentum/reversing the way you're facing in different directions depending on what directions you press. Tbh, it has a LOT of mix up potential.
