After not being able to find a full time job for a few months, I got offered 2 at once! And because of a bit of a mix up with money, I got an extra 100 quid in my bank account.

That was a bit too lucky though, so the gods snapped my bike chain 3 days before I started work.

I rarely ever get lucky. In school I typically get unlucky with lots of stuff that I don't feel like detailing. My luck is a lot worse when it comes to video games, haha. Pokemon being the mainstream unluckiness that I get. Parahaxed, critted to death. Not that I expect a lot of you to know what that all means.

Call me lucky when I win the lottery.

It seems to change every once in a while. I also notice that whenever I get lucky or I do good at something, it seems like I contine to ride that wave for some time in anything else that I do. But when I get bad luck at something, it usually causes me to get frustrated, and screw up nearly everything else that I do.

Compared to people who don't have enough to eat everyday, yea I'm pretty lucky, but I wouldn't mind some more. :)

I definitely believe there's some sort of flow of luck in the universe. Not that I'm particularly lucky, but I've met a few people that are just consistently unlucky.

I am unlucky. Or rather, extremely lucky but so stupid I negated it.

I think I might have been offered a bursary to pay my university fees for a degree next year and stupidly did not realise when I replied ''No, I think I can manage myself financially next year.''.

:urg:

edit: after brooding about it for several hours I decided to email my interviewers to ask about it again. I probably won't qualify for the bursary anyway. On the bright side, I think my interview was successful since they started talking about finances.

Just today, I was walking home from school with my friend. There's a little crevice in the earth that is a stream because of the melted snow which enters a drainage pipe. We walked on stones or jumped across it. We decided to follow the stream, and I was walking on the rocks in the stream. I found a thick tree branch and we made a bridge. Serveral times I slipped and fell into the water, which
was sort of bad luck.

What was really good luck was when we started to walk home again. We were going to cross a pretty busy street. My friend is known to do some stupid stuff (no examples). So several cars are going by, and, like a baseball player waiting to steal a base, he gets ready to run before the next car comes. Now, just incase you're not aware, a baseball player waiting to steal a base does not know what's behind him/her. He runs and, confused, I run shortly behind him. At the second lane, there was a car coming that we didn't see (this all happened in about 7 seconds). The car makes a spectacular stop, and my friend just continues running. While that happened I was standing in the middle of the street. This is basically what went through my head, "What the... this was so stupid. Wait, what am I going to do...? *Runs to other side of street before car continues to drive*" Okay, yes, this was stupid but to us, it was hilarious. Of course, he's luckly as Hell that that car stopped.

My luck flucuates randomly. I really can't find a better way to explain it.

Though I think my overall good luck and bad luck has pretty much negated each other for the most part.

Luckless... and dammit I was about to do the Felix Felicis bit....

Lets see: I didn't get to finish a section of my FCAT, my health has been worsening over the hype of HG/SS and my parents still need to give me money so I can buy a DS so I can play SS...

I don't believe in luck, it just doesn't make sense to me. The way I see it, nothing that happens to me that is out of my control is bad. Depending on my perspective, it can be good in one way or another. I just need to change my point of view.

update: I guess I am lucky.

I've got an unofficial but early confirmation of being accepted on to the degree and been recommended to apply for a £5000(!) bursary. And the exam seemed to go ok. :bee:

Now to make an application.

I don't actually believe in luck though. Sometimes things happen that are out of your control and you just have to accept it and deal with it instead of dwelling on the bad. Keeping options open, not being afraid to ask for things and staying positive are traits you find in ''lucky'' people imo.

Its bull**** to think that you control your luck. Things happen that affect you greatly, like the credit crunch, that are out of your control. You might be walking down the street and be mugged and stabbed. That's luck.

It's an unfortunate event.

Luck implies (the way this topic asks) that a person has a certain draw to repeated unfortunate or fortunate events all the time. But I guess it depends on your perspective.
