The only stage I have issues with is Distant Planet. Circle Camping and Planking seems to be an issue to me. That, and the grab release
Other than that, I think that most of the stages benefit Lucas. ^^

BTW Lucas' need to look more into PS2 and LM. Those stages are really fun and we can play Gay on them.

I'm still looking into PTAD but i've been looking at it for a while. PS2/LM are backups if Brinstar gets banned on me.

I absolutely love PS2. :3
Ice stage is amazing - Gliding F-smash, walking D-smash
Air stage is just awesome - Hit up, PKT1 chase
Electric stage is lol - U-SMASH CANCEL, PKF camping from center

Weegee's is pretty cool too. D-tilt lock setups ftw.

I'm starting to like Port Town too. If you can pull of Zap Jumps consistently, it's actually a pretty good stage for Lucas. PKT1 edgeguard, and punish when they try to recover back.

I wish we could get rid of Castle Siege once and for all. ]:< I really dislike that stage. 3rd stage is OK but the other two are mreh.

The thread is just becoming ridiculous. People think that just because the person isn't a "pro", means that their opinion doesn't matter at all. I mean, seriously, searching up Youtube videos of their matches, and laughing at them losing? -_-

I'm saying though, when I go to a tournament, it's not like pro ban people stand on one side of the venue and anti ban stands on the other, glaring at each other. Or people yelling "Down with the Brawl Back Room! Viva la revolution!" I see a bunch of people, laughing and joking, having a good time playing a game they think is fun. When you're at an actual tournament venue playing the game, whether your name is purple or red or green or whatever... none of that matters.

I just always think it's a little funny/strange when something happens and people say Brawl's community is dying. I even think Ran's thread is a bit over the top.

hmmm i'd have to agree with NN. However i am never very sociable at tournaments and most the time I just talk to my friend I bring along because she gets lonely :3 but I love the tournament scene.

Anyways i'm six month ban. Right in the middle buut i'd be fun to see what would happen if MK were banned. But tournie scenes are fun to go to.

Saying the community is dying is way over the top. Goodness so much drama over a new ruleset is just plain silly. This game is meant for fun. x_x"

No johns Chrono, it's 3 am here but I'm not complaining.

IL/WI is never going to use this ruleset, so I don't really care too much. But I do have a decemt amount of experience on those stages, so I personally wouldn't mind. Hell I'd rather go to PTAD or Green Greens instead of Rainbow Cruise.

Meaning that TOs don't even have to use this ruleset. Hell, they could make it 20 minute time limit with Temple and New Pork City allowed only. It's just a recommendation.

Also, majority of these stages were allowed in the past, so I don't really have a need to freak out about them. I have the practice on them already. Norfair and Mansion have always been my favorite CP's before they moved to banned, and I'm sure Distant Planet would greatly benefit Yoshi now that it's back.

If you don't like them and your TO uses that stage list with the stage(s) you don't like, either ban the stage or practice on the stages you don't like. If you're too lazy to practice on them, then don't go.

The 5 stage is pretty much the same as the striking system on AiB. I don't care which neutral I get as long as it's not Yoshi's, which I'll strike either way. I'm pretty much neutral on everything, these changes don't bother me at all :/

You're saying this as if it were worse. It's actually more fair with the new striking system. This way, there's no need to fight for whoever goes first because it's even each way.

One of those guys is a good Japan player, not sure which one. Also, GDX is in my pool. Should be fun considering i hate Diddy's. Wish me luck.

Yeah that would be the GDX you're thinking of. lol. I just got off the phone w/ smurf, he said Sweet Pea is a very smart player, but isn't unbeatable. I'm aiming to get second seed if i can't beat GDX. I'll also have to make sure to call a blind pick against that DK and the Marth. iyiyi.

I faced GDX at the Hooter's tournament, but it was a friendly.

-he learned how to chain-grab lucas thanks to kyon's advice.
-his banana game is REALLY REALLY good.


Me? I just learned the match-up last week...will give you more tips vs him as soon as I play him more often. I think Galeon knows the match-up? Assuming that he faced GDX more than I did X3
