Hey guys I just finished hosting my first tourney...and it was successful!!
(I'll answer yer question PF in this small story)

I won 3v3 teams with my partners Stingers and Sushi. Our order was Stingers, Sushi, and Mekos. We beat Lie(mk), TC(diddy), and Logic(mk) in GF.

I got second in teams with Arch(a tlink, mk, and marth main) and lost to Lie and Logic in GF.

I got second in singles. I got knocked into losers by lie. Sorry PF . It was game 3 last hit. He went diddy game 1 and 3. He went mk game 2. I met logic in Losers finals and my arm started muscle spasming. It sucked. It happens whenever my arms are stressed and I am dehydrated. I didn't take care of my body sense I was busy TOing while playing. This was my fault and I'll take better care of my body next time. Logic was nice though and let me pause the game to take a break and let my arm rest. I thought about DQing myself but decided to play through the pain. I won!! The game where my arm stared to hurt Logic was ahead by 3 stocks to my 1. He was high % and I got the kill. His next two stocks I got two clutch gimps.

I then met lie in grandfinals. He went diddy and mk. My arms basically gave out by this time but I still got him to game 5 of our first set. It was funny because sometimes I was playing with one arm and I was still getting clutch up smash kills lol. It was so funny. I'll kill him next time for you PF. I was happy I got him to last hit every game with my legit john affecting me.

In singles I beat alot of people. THe ones I remember are

Seagull (Wolf)
Luckay4life (Pit)
Sushi-Man(Mk)
Logic (olimar)

Thanks man it will. It sucks when it happens but I only have myself to blame. I have mastered how to defeat it. I have to drink lots of water and Gatorade when I am competing. Since I was busy TOing I didn't take the time to stay hydrated. It was my stupid mistake. I won't let it happen again.

I am staying with my friend Sang in a hotel together since I scored a free night. I'll be in MD the week before the tourney and then gonna do some transportation with her to NJ.

Speaking of zss, I went to a small local yesterday. I'm a lot less serious about tourneys now because I apparently can't prove myself at big tourneys. But anyway hylian wanted to team with me and we were Lucas/ice climbers cause its a fun team and stuff. We got 1st of 4 teams.

Singles was just round robin since we only had 8 people. I went all zss except for two matches. I beat fujin (Zelda) 2-0, lost to tmacc (wario) 1-2, beat alt f-4 (it was recorded as a 2-0 because he left, so forfeit basically), beat metalmusicman (d3/falco) 2-0, and lost to future (snake) 1-2. When I played hylian he went mk game one and I was zss, I won that one. Then he cp'ed fd and I knew he was going ics so I just went Lucas. Lost game 2 on fd and won game 3 on ps2. I was 10-5 and hylian was 10-4 so he got to play gf's with future. Just like whobo ): But I didn't really care, I had a lot of fun using zss and I think she's gonna become my main character in singles and Lucas will be my main character in doubles.

@FAE: Well that's a bummer to hear that you are dropping Lucas. ;_; Definitely play the character you have the most fun with and that's good to hear you are doing well with ZSS nontheless.

I would really like to go to offline tournies, wanted to go to one for forever.

Kinda wanted to get my Lucas out there so I can get known a little better, maybe someday.

lucas can do that but i cant imagine why you would want to...

except dont you guys have a super zair jump like your pk fire jump? so you could (in theory) super zair jump while offstage then platform cancel for a pretty....interesting recovery

Full hop Zair --> Platform Cancel Dropped Fair or Uair onstage or something I guess, it'd be a weird mindgame

Zair Jump offstage --> Platform cancel drop --> Immediate zap jump would be sexy

I didn't even know you could platform cancel until I saw YB on the SRT stream

Yea, thats exactly the first time I had ever seen that either.

I'm not very technical and for some reason its easiest with link (probably because he can barely reach that platform anyway), so I'd love to see what a technical lucas could do with this, even lacking a hitbox.

The other three are dumb cuz of grabbing shenanigans which would still be the problem even with Ropesnake having a hitbox.

Would be a bonus nonetheless.

It'd be nice of Ropesnake snagged anybody who came near, it'd be SO much more useful, but then again, he had to make the RopeSnake fail, Mother 3 he let go and let em all fall, I hate when he just grabs the edge and lets go ;_; Far distance but it's such a tease.

Well,I don't have MU experience against R.O.B with Lucas (neither with my main ),I must confess it.

I must confess that I can't decide if i main Lucas or Yoshi now,I am with this doubt since I started playing Yoshi in january 2012. (I mained Lucas first)

Yoshi has better MUs than Lucas,but terrible MUs for Yoshi like Falco,Wolf or Lucario are not that bad for Lucas...

The only MUs that I can't perform well with Lucas and Yoshi are R.O.B(I just don't know that MU) and Diddy(****ing bananas )...

I use Lucas against Sonic instead of Yoshi,both are even,but Yoshi vs Sonic is so boring...

@Syrup: Yeah I agree, I wish the ropesnake did something, but I love having a tether grab sometimes.

Yeah, the tether grab is really nice, but at the same time it'd be nice for a short grab that doesn't have any lag, tethers are a lot worse in this game.

Lucas all around just needs to have all the bugs he has removed, remove the stupid grabs, the stupid whatever is against him, and he'll finally be good MAYBE, if not good he'll at least be "playable".

Wish I could see a Lucas win 1st at a major tourny.

Ack, my apologies Lukin! ^^" But yeah haha, if you ever have any questions about MUs, be sure to ask whenever you want. I love discussing them.

Also, you seem to be in the Arena a lot so maybe we can battle each other sometime for fun haha.

@Syrup *again lol*: I would love to see Lucas doing that well at a national but seeing a Lucas do top 8 at nationals is great in itself.

Top 8 at nationals is pretty great especially for Lucas.

Also, I'd like to play some of you guys too, I've played Mekos and FAE, wanna fight some more good Lucas just to see if there's anything else I can learn that'd be nice to have.

Maybe soon I can go to offline tournies, it's a shame I live in Tennessee -.-
