Hey guys, I feel like we should get all the ratios down for now since the MU's are going slow (b/c there is really not enough enthusiasm on anyone's part right now)

Well like I said, knowing most matchups, I'm sure I could help out a lot. All the times I've been here.. (lurking) The lucas boards were never really active. I'd like to see them more active and what not. So I dont know about the other Lucas users here since I'm new, but I'm going to try to make Lucas boards more active!!! Adurr it all starts up with MU talk, huh?

Ok well I have some imput on Ganon for a few reaons. I've mained him for like 5 months and there is a PRd ganon in my state so I get to play him a lot. So when fighting a ganon, its a safe bet that they know how to predict and punish, otherwise you cant really be good with ganon. With Ganon's lack of projectiles you're gonna have to space. If we're talking offline try to wavebounce for a lesser chance of getting powershielded. (Is that a word?) Online, you don't have to wavebounce if you don't want to. If the Ganon is trying to lure you, I'd say take the bait with caution of course. Close up with ganon can be dangerous cause of his forward B chains > **** with any followup (predictions) but if you know how to side step dodge (lol) that's when I take my chance to counter. Ganon is very slow, yet powerful as we all know. So when I see a chance where he's in ending lag, I go for SHN > Pk fire. It racks up some damage and most people cant escape it. I'll have some more info on ganon later, I'm just lazy.

Alright so yay finally a MU we win. I will say 60:40 Lucas or maybe 65:35 Lucas.

Lucas has the ability to successfull camp Ganondorf pretty easily. Lucas also can gimp Ganondorf supremely easy with PKT and PKFreeze. The one thing Ganon has that makes this MU not 30:70 is his strength. Ganon's power in his moves can kill Lucas early on low percentages. Ganon can kill really early with most his smashes if not all.

However this MU is rather easy for Lucas to handle. Lucas wins in air, offstage, camping, and his smash attacks come out faster then ganon. (Except for Usmash for us)

SHWBPKF and FHWBPKF are fun in this MU. Anything involving PKF is good here. Helps with Spacing alot and keeping this behemoth away from Lucas is a good thing. As said above Ganon kills light-weights like Lucas very early. Howver getting Ganon offstage is annoying because he is so heavy, though Lucas just has to keep picking away until he is high enough to kill or get offstage.

This is just what I feel like typing atm so I will try and go more in-depth later. Ill go collect frame data and start doing those now. And I will be looking at stages that seem horrible for Ganon.

Brinstar is not a good CP in this MU D:

However RC seems quite good here.

You have to be careful in the air. Ganon has a lot more range on his aerials than Lucas, and that U-air is killer.
BTW, PKT and PKFr don't gimp a smart player.

true enough however I still think Gimping Ganon is easier rather than harder.

in air Ganon does have that range :/

Ok
Brinstar isn't a good cp against Ganon?
I remember ganons saying that Brinstar was like one of his worst stages.
Ganon is relatively easy to gimp.
His fall speed and aerial speed are ballz.
PKT beats AD, the only thing that beats it is one of his up-b hitboxes.
PKF camping is really good. His approaches are awful. Just about everything is safe on his shield.
In the air, don't get above him. Put him above you, read his landing and punish.

Easy mode.

I talked to a Ganon main irl (yes a rare breed xD) Played maaaany friendlies so I know this MU well.

Nah but he said Brinstar is a good stage because 1 the lava keeps him alive for alot longer. Plus it restricts running away from him and staying away from his strength.

Also with the smaller boundaries he can kill alot sooner then before. Brinstar is not really too good imo here.

Though we haven't even gotten the ganon's mains input and we are already talking stages.

Brinstar is one of Ganon's better stages. "Free" lava Ganoncides and earlier kills are amazingly useful for Ganon.

All Lucas needs to do is spam D-tilt in close range and Ganon can't do anything LOL! Like I'm not kidding at all...since Ganon doesn't have a single attack that comes out faster than 7 frames.

Actually, if you check my frame data thread, you'll find that Lucas can't do that until Ganon is around 100%. Once he's around there, he's ***** by it tho.

Setting aside those D-tilt shenanigans, I don't think the matchup is worse than 65/35 Lucas. I mean obviously...you have to get in range to do that lol. And Ganon has some pretty interesting walling options due to his high range.

Or I guess it could be horrible, since he's a sitting target for PKT2 gimps offstage. *shrug*

Also I would like to know Ganon's options for Lucas spacing with PKF or camping.

How does ganon approach? Wizard Kick?

Ganon's D-tilt outranges everything Lucas has btw (I'm pretty sure it has more range than MK's D-tilt actually), so he can D-tilt on reaction to DA. He is also capable of F-tilting/F-smashing through Lucas's aerials if you are in that zone.

Yeah as for PK Fire, most Ganon players are going to powershield it and wait until they are in range to D-tilt or punish with DA. In my experience it's easy for Ganon to do when his shield is full due to Ganon's fairly narrow frame (horizontally) and wide shield radius.

...rPSI I'm sorry but that was frankly stupid.

I mean honestly...he's Ganon. What else is he going to do besides waiting for you to whiff and then punish?

Yeah I mean Lucas's Dash Attack is okay, but I don't think you want to actually throw it out in the way you just suggested...when chances are he's just going to wait until the momentum pushes you into his D-tilt range. You might as well SH F-air or fullhop D-air, since those won't be as easy for him to D-tilt.

I really cannot think of anything @ this moment of anything else I need to know of this MU. I think I have this covered.

I'll input stage decisions in a bit/later.

Ganon's fastest move is Uair which is 6 frames (which is also one of Ganon's great moves). But on the ground, it's his 7 frame grab.

And I wouldn't CP Brinstar against Ganon unless you have the mobility of Wario or are MK. Rainbow Cruise and Frigate Orpheon are (at least) the 2 worst Ganon stages.

I don't think he can punish it. Plus shielding DA = free grab.
The MU's around 65-35.
Go with RC for your CP. If he bans that go Frigate.
This MU is pretty easy as long as you don't run into his ****.

Yea...this match-up should be pretty easy. 65-35 imo.
Seriously...just spam PK fire.

For stages, I'd say you'd want to end up on FD on your first match. Counterpick RC or Frigate...maybe RC. Norfair and Brinstar are his two best stages. Ban Pirate Ship (if it's legal)

This MU is really easy. Ganon is probably one of our best MUs.

Stage striking: BF, YI

Counterpicking: RC, FO

Ban: Brinstar or Norfair (your pick, though it is his best stage we still do good there ourselves)

Im gonna work on the frame data in a bit but not tonight im a bit too tired and ill get the math wrong if I do it now (z_z)

Keep your spacing and spam PK Fire.
If you don't watch out your gonna get Ganonraped so you should really take this match serious.
Also, your Nair is sort of bad for Ganon.
