Just found out today at work. It's sad, but yeah, no more Open World Monthlies. The market in Mandeville sucks. However they do plan on re-opening in New Orleans when they are ready. I'm not sure how long it will be until they re-open because they have a lot of personal things they want to do first before they tackle on small business again.

I just checked my schedule and my boss didn't give it to me...for what ****ing reason I have no idea, but I'm going tommorow to talk to management about it. So ****ing stupid I didn't get it off when I asked it a MONTH in advance.


I want MM from @Brawlman1000 @Curlz and maybe JSalt. First time entering a tournament for something other than Brawl as well (been playing a hell of a lot of P:M with @BigMara since that's all he wants to play now).

Hey @ GOL | 482 | JSalt , what's your deal on smash games now? I know you play Melee and P:M now, but like would you still call yourself a brawl player or have you denounced that game now lol?

As far as ICE monthlies go, I have to look into that for next month.

As far as which games I'm playing now, I'm playing them all, but in different priorities.
Before Golden Chariot it was:
1. PM
2. Melee
3. Brawl

Now heading into Smashcon, it's:
1: Brawl/PM
2: Melee

I don't call myself a player of primarily one game. I play PM a lot more nowadays, with some Melee, but I only play Brawl at tournies. However, this week, that's gonna change. I know almost everyone sees this SmashCon as a "big" tourney, so I know I'm gonna have to get my game on point for all three games. So be ready. JSalt will be.

Yeah, sadly even with the buffs, Zelda doesn't do well against spacies. Might I suggest... Peach perhaps?? :D

I kinda agree. I'd be down to play some Melee tho, I love me some Melee. If you want to be the best Luigi in Louisiana I suggest talking to @Griffard . He's a great Luigi and he's really good in P:M too! I'd give him a shoutout.

while i think "Dead" isnt accurate, it is an undeniable fact that brawl is on the decline.
facts:
those loyal to melee will remain loyal to melee, unless they switch to PM or play both.
lots of brawl players have moved to PM or play both brawl and PM.
the remaining people are more the "newest smash game" types and will switch to smash 4 upon its release.

while my personal opinion on brawl is negative, this post isnt meant to reflect that. the truth is brawl is just on the decline.
and i wont john for jnig but i feel like part of his lower placing was due to the fact that hes pretty much been focusing on pm and melee lately. (as ive been saying, brawl on the decline)

thats not to say it wont resurge (while my personal preference is i hope not). melee was hard on the decline for 2-3 years then it exploded into its biggest scene ever. but as of now, it is on the decline. its nothing to be argued about, it just a fact.

edit: if this was an english paper it would have been a D. i used decline like 10 times. but its not. so **** thinking up other words that mean the same thing.

I agree with the fact that brawl is on the decline and that it's even less likely to make a large comeback than melee was. Saying it's dead is just plain uninformed though.

And using Louisiana as a defining sample size isn't a fair judgement.
