Anyone in the new orleans area feel like playing melee tonight? Between the saints game that I have no interest in and the weather there isn't a lot to do this evening.

So I did the math for Apex. If anyone wants to come its important that you read this post.
I'll be driving and Its $75 for gas, 60 for the hotel room, and then any extra money you want to bring for food, snacks, money matches, merch, side evebts, etc.
For registration, go to https://www.apex-series.com/registration
You must sign up before November 11th if you want cheaper prices. It's $30 venue fee then whatever else for what you want to enter

Everything Else $10
I have 3 spots available in my car. Let me know on here or text me if you're interested in coming.

There was a 48 man tourney for N64 Smash at USM today. One of our best players from MS who started at smashcon and always places well took the gold home. He also informed the players of our future existence as a monthly in Hattisburg. If all goes well MS will have a great start with these college kids down the street from the venue. If that many showed for smash 64 imagine how many will show for melee, or brawl. Given this was an own campus event now.
I'm waiting to hear back from the venue on a final date. I'm hoping for October the earliest. November the latest for our first event.

They're casuals as of now. The players from the college will take time evolve into more serious players who understand the game more. Matt is the one who won hes good but hes only B Tier in our ranks I believe. Our best from LA, myself, and possibly some A tiers are coming to Whobo though. It should be a great tourney.

Oh, so when Taylor does finally decide to communicate with the outside world it's this. Like not replying to my text that we now play Brawl every Tuesday at university crossing with Moses (the dude who beat Gunner back at magnet), or letting me know if Jnig and the boys had arrived yet because I needed to know if my ride flaked on me or not. Nah, this is the important stuff. I see your priorities Taylor....
I thought we stopped doing that because it became irrelevant. :/

Don't forget that I took a game off of Denti and a stock off of Jnig. So do it like what Florida's PR does with ESAM. Make me 0 and then put Jnig at 1.
And after WHOBO when I come home with $1000+ you can just put an infinity symbol next to my name.

We are thinking of starting a monthly Brawl/Melee tournament in West Monroe. We have a nice location and know personally around 20 people who would attend locally. Majority of these people are casual players. I know that the scene in North LA isn't all that great and just wanted to test the waters and see if competitive players would want to attend.
Either way, developing a community with just casual players is good too. The more competitive players will show if they want a tournament to go to, and the super competitive players will attend if enough people show up. Either way, it's a win-win for you guys in West Monroe. I say go for it, and best of luck to you.
