I hope that, whatever issues we had in Brawl (hosting, rulesets, etc.), we can learn from them and have a better thriving community for Smash 4. I feel like we dropped the ball this generation.

Realistically speaking, changing the game is not going to change the player. People's ****ty attitudes will remain unless they get rid of them. It doesn't matter how many smash games Nintendo releases.

That's what I was addressing lol. However, for each new game, it's like a new leaf blossoming. It's fresh as possible in everyone's minds. With Brawl, that flower hit China-like pollution. I think that we can get it right on the next shot; we just have to do a better job fostering a community.

Well the good thing is, from what I can tell, the community has been getting friendlier and better since I've joined. At this rate, I'm sure something good will come of it by the next smash.

Also- Just as a quick announcement, Smashcon has been moved up a week. It's new date will be June 22nd and 23rd. Look forward to seeing you guys there!

Jugglo (is what he goes by), is a guy I know from school. He's one of Kyuubi's roommates. His ROB his pretty impressive. It's scary fun to play. Unbaisly, I'd put him in our top 5 seeing that he's one of our consistent attendees and places consistent.

so the tournament this weekend is 5 days away and starts at 9:00 pm on a sunday?
seems like an extremely late notification of the tournament, plus its starting really late. granted, all of these things either dont matter or are good for me but for others it might cause issues.

assuming these things are true, im coming straight from a MTG tournament to laser tag lol

Confused as to where it says it starts at 9pm.

Also- Anyone else besides me laughing at the idiots on tv taking the cinnamon challenge? I remember we did that quite a bit in 2007-2008. It's hilarious that it took this long for it to catch on.

it has been changed. it said 9:00 pm where it now says 11:00 am. and i am sad because i cant come now. 5 days notice is not enough to request off work >.>

I might. I'll be in BR for some walk for the March of Dimes. Well, assuming it doesn't rain, but regardless of the weather I'll be in because my sis wants to spend time with me Sunday so I might as well be in town anyway.

Things to focus on when fighting Olimar at a top level with a ****ty character (B tier and below). Learn where your openings are. After that, use multi hit moves to beat whistle (it hits the vulnerable frames), if you don't have any multi hit moves then time your attacks to beat whistle, even tho it is very hard (ryo the ike mains does it on command, but if an Ike can do it anyone can do it).


Whistle frames are 1-21.
Super armor 2-16.

There you go, I'VE GIVEN YOU THE WORLD!!!! NOW RUN WITH IT!!!! RUN FREE!!!!

Not sure if anyone was planning on Attending LouisiAnime this year, but Play N Trade is in charge of the GameRoom and I'm running the tournaments.

It's May 10-12 and the tournament schedule is as follows.

Friday, May 10:
3pm - Soul Caliber & Street Fighter X Tekken
6pm - Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition & Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3
8pm - Street Fighter X Tekken (2v2)

Saturday, May 11:
1pm - Halo 4 (2v2) & Super Smash Bros Brawl
3pm - Playstation All Stars
5pm - Injustice & Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2v2)
8pm - Playstation All Stars (2v2) & Super Smash Bros Brawl (2v2)

Sunday May 12:
11am - Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2
1pm - Raffle* & Top 4 from Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition, Playstation All Stars, and Injustice are played in front of a live audience in that order until brackets are finished. Awards Ceremonies follow.

* - PNT will be donating a prize for the raffle. All you have to do is enter a tournament to enter your name in the raffle. The more tournaments you enter, the bigger your chances of winning. (Rumor has it they're going to be donating a Wii U or 3DS. This is not confirmed though.)

So I have some issues with the list of course, but more than ever I really like the grouping of the characters. The only really big problem I see is that Falco should be moved directly behind Pikachu (keeping Pikachu in the same group). Falco is just bad, I personally believe he deserves worse than that (Behind zss or maybe even wario).
But yeah that mid tier is spot on imo.

If anybody has free time this weekend, my house is open to Louisiana brawlers. I have the whole house to my myself for a few days, and I'm going to be pretty bored. Plus some smash xp would be useful. Okuser would call it "Smashfest," but whatever you want to call it, I can host it.

Monday may 20 or Wednesday may 22. Which ever date is better for people. 4 pm to midnight. Melee and p:m tournament at my house. Teams, draft crews and singles for Melee. P:m is singles and what ever side event y'all want to do. I'm going to make the thread when I get home.

c'mon bman, go to hobo :D this time i'll be ready to destroy that marth with my pika, and there are no other characters that will take care of it.
Even if you pick up olimar, i still know that match up, tho i know you hate olimar o; unless thats just denti.
