All you have to do is ask. Even if they are thinking about quitting, just hype MvC3/Melee/64/P:M at a tourney and you'll get a lot more good people. Then they could teach you some tricks on Brawl for a while once they get bored.

So I missed NOM because I had to go out to Tallahassee to see FAMU. Well, after I did that, I went to a mall to buy pokemon. Then it turns out that there's a gaming center like dibbz in there, and there's a smash tournament. M2K was there, and I met two of my other gamefaqs friends. I did really bad in it though because I didn't have my controller. So today turned out to be pretty good.
