Why does it have to be forwarded? >_< Wasn't 30th fine :(

Anyway, I voted for the 6th because I might still be able to make that. But I won't any later date.

I'd rather it was on 30th but it aint our decision and we should be grateful that he's hosting at all.

I won't be able to find a venue for the 30th, the reason being is because every hall would be booked now for christmas/new year parties. Hopefully I can find a hall for the 6th.

I find it difficult finding any tournament around london, so I might just have to go after consulting some friends. I need something to take my mind off exams on 10th and 27th but maths & chemistry won't revise themselves. Could this be done before the 4th (preffered, before 10th definate) or after the 27th?

Take of Battlefield, Dreamland 64 should be there.

There should be the same rules setting for all tourneys.

Also Counter Pick stages needs updating XD

I am so tempted to come to this tourney just because Green Greens and Onett are allowed =D

I know it's your descision and all, feel free to ignore this but:

DL64 wants to be on random.
If you're having Battlefield on random, you want DL64, FoD and Yoshi's Story too. If not, just PS, FD and DL64.
If you're allowing Onett, Brinstar and Green Greens you may wanna consider Kongo 64.

I know it's your choice, but that's just want I think (If this is an official tournament set-up, if not, go nuts)

Nice 1st post update! All sounds good and I can make it. I just really don't like Onnet, other than that stages for Jiggly all the way xD

Alex and BB are right,DL64 should be on random. Also with counter stages like that Kongo 64 should be on as well.Having said that we're trying to get a standard UK ruleset happening and it would be great if you applied it to this as well.
I might go to this, tickets to London are dirt cheap so we'll see what happens.

I would drive down and make this, but the dates two days bfore my loan comes through! awww =(

If i did make it, is there anyone that would host five sdb ?! xmas money may be enough to get me there.

edit : i think we should have a ruleset covnersation and sort out a standard set for all UK get togethers , regardless on how small or big they are!

Looks like me and 3 others will be able to make this one. Also IOoT;

1) Where is the nearest tube station?
2) If you have a TV shortage, I just might be able to drive down. Cube and SSB copy definately.

Kone: I agree with the idea of a conversation, but how would you manage to keep on top of it? Who would you have discussing the ruleset? Would a conversation be enough? Also you'd have to organise to have everyone online, and if it runs over, re-organise.

Should we discuss this in the British thread?

im still fighting the good fight for YS on random

BB: if anyone cares about which ruleset we should use then they would make sure tht there imput is given imo, i agree tht using a tried and tested ruleset would just be easier...but if DL64 is on random snd YS aint on random im making a petition or something lol

It's possible for me sure. Housing would be the number one factor. Heck even Nihonjin might be interested if it's in the heart of London and there's housing.

ok im speaking in behalf of gary whos out till late today, it would be great to get as many people as possible due to the sweetness of this venue being given to us and its reasonably sized. Although there is one problem which needs to be covered..housing ~_~ My dad wouldn't let any guys stay for **** apart from alex probably. So the only way this can be solved is for other londoners to open up for other people

Sorry, can't help out with housing due to both parents/grandparents/packing to go back to Exeter the following day.

Hmm, but if its only 1 day you could perhaps travel back late? What I would be doing even if my journey is 2 hours rather than 7 :-/ Though I guess travelling 9 - 4am ain't pretty. Nihonjin would need housing regardless.

I guess the problem is if everyone comes (yay!) then the whole thing is more likely to need more time, and so then housing is needed.

Looking forward to this regardless :)

The housing thing is the only real issue that's ever stopped a tournament from happening in London. I wouldn't be able to make this one anyways, I have a friend from Taunton coming to see me on this weekend. Sorry guys.

should the GMC appear, it would be possible for us to get back on the train in the evening.

given that i live opposite yeovil junction, i can put the GMC up there (theoretically). so, in theory, the GMC can attend.

Considering Doug would be going by car it seems fair he would get priority if any housing should appear.I could probably get the plane down on the night. However, that would be really crap. Can anyone house?

Contact me at naedanger@hotmail.co.uk.

EDIT:WOW Plane taxes have doubled since last time I checked. It would now take me £30 to get down instead of a former £12.I'll see what I can do.
