People:
Ok, people confirm if you are coming and just post saying so cause i wanna start organizing it..
Firstly common sense, tournament = money .. so bring at least £10-15 and obviously around £3-10 if you wanna get food, theres a shop just outside the flats if you want snacks but hot food is a 5-10 min walk (please don't walk out inbetween tourneys and cause delays ~_~)
SSBM:
£5 Entry for singles (unless the £3 gary is talking about singles...or its donation towards the retirement home, im not sure), We'll be using the pool system for singles, no changing =) its fair anyway and it saves a lot of time..especially with tournament maker
Doubles will be free, if you want doubles i'll try shove that in but it might have to be a single elimination again cause i dont think we'll have time and friendlies are needed too, definitely. (if not and theres enough time which is possible! we can do double elimination with £5 entry!)
Pot split 60/25/15?
SSB 64:
Probably free too, do it for the honor...Singles only?
For SSB 64 if you want a tournament we'll have to see if there's free time after singles yet again, if so ill arrange a small tournament that'll prob be single elimination again, best of 3. Also to do this we'll need like 1/2 people to bring a N64 with the game (WORKING, or ill be killing people i swear) and possibly bring a n64 controller if you can.
Our t.v and gamecube/n64 situation:
If anyone can bring a t.v/t.v's it would be VERY helpful, atm were lacking t.v's i believe.. (dosen't have to be a new flashy sony widescreen or close..can just be a small t.v as long as it has AV ports or that other wire that goes in older t.v's...but i dont think thats 60hz
gamecube's shouldnt be a problem, if you have the decency to bring one good on ya mate =) the more the better, just because theres more than the t.v's dosen't mean you can't play invisible smash!
N64...um bring one if you have one, even if you aren't playing ssb 64 and just melee it would be nice for others to try out old school stuff and maybe participate in a lil ssb 64 tourney

I'll also share out my mobile number/gary's if people get lost from barkingside and don't know where to go from there...my best suggestion is go in a group and meetup at barkingside/gants hill station and go from there.

Ok, im gonna rewrite directions cause i feel everyones confused, Id advise you to write it down or print if you suck at remembering
Location: Kelvin Lodge - 406, Clayhall Avenue, Ilford, Essex IG5 0TA
Date & Time - 6/1/07 12pm-8pm (please try get here as close to 12:00 afternoon as possible, 10-15 mins earlier is fine..but if you come at past 1pm might start singles/doubles without the people absent)
Driving: You can use www.multimap.com with the post code to get there without too much difficulty..i tested it myself so no talking s***
Trains: Easiest way to get to the venue without any walking required is to stop off at "Gants Hill" (Zone 4) using the Hainault Via Newbury Park train (Central Line).
From there you can take a 128 bus which will stop directly outside the venue.
I really dont think people should walk from Barkingside, its simple to walk but explaining is hell.
Best way to identify the venue:
- Ask the bus driver first obviously
- The venue is on the same side of the road as the bus
- Outside the bus stop is a retired home with a gate
- To the right of the gate is a shop
- Keep an eye out after you pass Barkingside (from Barkingside the bus turns left at the traffic lights towards the roundabout)
- Its a retired home!!!
- I believe my grandma is by the door opening it for you guys (Her name is Esther =D)

oh god im worrying about the t.v situation, i think we can only bring 3 t.v's (a LCD 26" and two small t.v's) to the venue cause my dad would totally disagree on bringing the 2 other widescreens...Please whoever possible bring T.V's, this includes possibly somehow fitting a small t.v in a bag i dunno. The only person ive heard is bringing one is Spam >_< Im counting on you guys too =( Just bring as many as you can please if you're travelling by car
I really doubt ssb 64 will occur now -_- unless we get lucky with lots of t.v's
Me and gary are gonna work as hard as we can tommorow to get more t.v's, our grandparents are friends with all the people in the retirement home so possibly we can get at least 2-6 t.v's more added on to our 2-4 t.v's

When you organise a tourney,you have to make all ends meet yourself.You cannot expect anything from the attendees,they are just there to play smash.Expecting anything from others is immediately the wrong way to go when organising an event,anything could screw up and you have to be aware of that.There are 30+ people planning to attend this,5 TV's,even if everyone played teams you will have about 10-15 people standing around.This isnt even mentioning the size of the TV's.
I hope it works out,for the sake of the people who are travelling to this and the people who just want to play.But it is poorly organised.

Ok, people confirm if you are coming and just post saying so cause i wanna start organizing it..
Directions:
Ok, im gonna rewrite directions cause i feel everyones confused, Id advise you to write it down or print if you suck at remembering
Location: Kelvin Lodge - 406, Clayhall Avenue, Ilford, Essex IG5 0TA
Date & Time - 6/1/07 12pm-8pm (please try get here as close to 12:00 afternoon as possible, 10-15 mins earlier is fine..but if you come at past 1pm might start singles/doubles without the people absent)
Driving: You can use www.multimap.com with the post code to get there without too much difficulty..i tested it myself so no talking s***
Trains: Easiest way to get to the venue without any walking required is to stop off at "Gants Hill" (Zone 4) using the Hainault Via Newbury Park train (Central Line).

From there you can take a 128 bus which will stop directly outside the venue, one bus stop is next to cash converters on one side and the other bus stop is on the opposite side of the road of Faces on the other side (you can also take this bus from barkingside high street and outside ilford station but i recommend gants hill due to it being 2 stops before Barkingside on the central line and dosent really require much walking at all)
Best way to identify the venue:
- Ask the bus driver first obviously
- The venue is on the same side of the road as the bus
- Outside the bus stop is a retired home with a gate
- To the right of the gate is a shop
- Keep an eye out after you pass Barkingside (from Barkingside the bus turns left at the traffic lights towards the roundabout)
- Its a retired home!!!
- I believe my grandma is by the door opening it for you guys (Her name is Esther =D)

Our t.v and gamecube/n64 situation:
If anyone can bring a t.v/t.v's it would be VERY helpful, atm were lacking t.v's i believe.. (dosen't have to be a new flashy sony widescreen or close..can just be a small t.v as long as it has AV ports or that other wire that goes in older t.v's...but i dont think thats 60hz. If you travelling by car theres really no excuse why you cant drag along a small t.v or two)
- We can bring 4 T.V's to the venue (One widescreen, one LCD 26", and two reasonable t.v's
- Spam bringing a T.V
gamecube's shouldnt be a problem if people bring em, if you have the decency to bring one good on ya mate =) the more the better, just because theres more than the t.v's dosen't mean you can't play invisible smash!
N64...um bring one if you have one, even if you aren't playing ssb 64 and just melee it would be nice for others to try out old school stuff and maybe participate in a lil ssb 64 tourney

Firstly common sense, tournament = money .. so bring at least £10-15 and obviously around £3-10 if you wanna get food, theres a shop just outside the flats if you want snacks but hot food is a 5-10 min walk back to the high street (please don't walk out inbetween tourneys and cause delays ~_~) Also my grandparents want £1.50 each for the usage of the hall

£5 Entry for singles (unless the £3 gary is talking about singles...or its donation towards the retirement home, im not sure), We'll be using the pool system for singles, no changing =) its fair anyway and it saves a lot of time..especially with tournament maker
Doubles will be free, if you want doubles i'll try shove that in but it might have to be a single elimination again cause i dont think we'll have time and friendlies are needed too, definitely. (if not and theres enough time which is possible! we can do double elimination with £5 entry!)
Pot split 60/25/15?
SSB 64:
Right now im worrying about t.v's, if we dont get enough we definitely can't do ssb 64, or we can and the ssbm tourney will be slowed down and less friendlies and fair for everyone.
Probably free too, do it for the honor...Singles only?
For SSB 64 if you want a tournament we'll have to see if there's free time after singles yet again, if so ill arrange a small tournament that'll prob be single elimination again, best of 3. Also to do this we'll need like 1/2 people to bring a N64 with the game (WORKING, or ill be killing people i swear) and possibly bring a n64 controller if you can.

Yeah I was aware of this,but I saw no point in posting it since he isnt even going to be at the venue,and its now in your hands.
and what do you mean shoving it in your face?What I said is basically just fact,obviously you can ask attendees to bring cubes but other than that the tournament is your responsibility.But the reason I posted was to let you know that you cant rely on others in the future;
No good,next time get it sorted early on.
