I really like FeliciaFan's Smash moveset videos for how in-depth he gets, and he just posted a moveset concept for Heihachi.

With Street Fighter and the King of Fighters in Smash, Tekken seems like the logical next step. Hopefully we get Heihachi (or at least a Tekken character, though I'd prefer Heihachi) in Smash Ultimate as DLC.
This video is a work of beauty. Although I don't feel too good about his chances after the whole sora4smash thing :(

Hello fellow Heihachi supporters!
I think Heihachi has very good chances to get in in the second round of DLC, as it will most likely have a fighter themed pack similar to how Ryu had one in Smash 4 and now Terry will have in the first DLC round of Ultimate.
I wanted to list up all the evidence that Heihachi has going on for him and that many arguments against his inclusion are futile.
First let's start with some genral stuff, comcerning his home-company, Bandai-Namco (who own Tekken) are developing Smash for the 2nd time but currently only have 1 character, while every other guest party (besides Microsoft and SNK, who are only on-board since this DLC cycle) already have more (SE have 2; Sega, Capcom and Konami even have 3).

Heihachi was considered for Smash 4 but making his moveset transform from 3d to 2d was too complicated. Sakurai couldn't come up with a moveset in time, and Pac-Man got in instead. And guess what? Pac-Man was originally considered too complicated to come up with a moveset in Brawl but came in the next game. Parallel between both? Also Ridley and Villager are also known to at first have been deemed impossible to implement by Sakurai. So with enough time and many years in the meantime, i think it's very plausible for him to get a moveset done for him.
Source: https://www.sourcegaming.info/2015/06/26/800/
Back when I was developing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Shigeru Miyamoto asked me, “What do you think about Pac-Man as a guest character?” “There’s no way!”, I thought to myself as I envisioned that mascot oh-so reminiscent of a pizza missing a slice. I didn’t say it out loud, of course.

Interviewer: Between Bandai and Namco, were there any other strong candidates for inclusion as a fighter?

Sakurai: There were none. We basically thought of all the characters at the start of development. We decided on characters we knew we could make. However, there were a few in consideration, such as Heihachi from “Tekken.”

Interviewer: Heihachi!

Sakurai: That’s right. However, implementing Heihachi’s movement in Smash would be difficult…

Interviewer: It reminds me of the reaction when Snake was from “Metal Gear” was announced.
Now there are a few things to note: remember Sakurai always wants to finish his work, he planned Sonic and Snake for Melee, but had to postpone them for Brawl, as time ran out already. Now during Brawl he couldn't come up with how a moveset for Pac-Man would work, but one game later this hurdle could also be overcome. Heihachi and Geno are the only 3rd party characters Sakurai openly talked about considering, who are still not in. Then the interviewer also said the impact of such a reveal would basically break the internet like Snake back then; of course it will not be such a big shock, but you have to remember Tekken has such a big playerbase, it could help to draw in new fans, as the current fighting game community is very split between Smash players and traditional fighters with only small overlap. And that would also fit into the quote how Nintendo wants to apply for and grab new audiences with the DLC. While this statement does not fit Banjo, it fits Joker and would fit Heihachi too, because both are also more heavily affiliated with appeareances on Playstation and only appear in spin-offs on Nintendo plattforms until now.
quote: https://www.gamesradar.com/heres-wh...vestor-qanda-new-online-switch-game-and-more/
With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we asked 'How could we reach not only fans of the Super Smash Bros. series, but also those who had never played it before?' If you look at the demographics of the consumers who purchased each of these titles, Iʼm not convinced weʼve completely overcome these challenges yet. So our aims are to keep working on them this year, to expand sales of these titles to new consumer demographics, and to keep selling these games for a long time, which is one of our strengths."
When talking about the Akira assist trophy Sakurai said he was especially proud how he figured out how he can move in 2d but it still looks exactly like it did in his 3d game. This newly gained knowledge might also help in developing Heihachi.

Now the next evidence, now that Dragon Quest is represented, Tekken and Resident Evil are the 2 highest selling franchises from Japan to not be in Smash yet (Monster Hunter technically is already represented through the Rathalos boss and AT). Both could get character for DLC spots.

Many people also claim Heihachi became impossible as he died ingame (so did Snake and some other characters like Ridley too) and his voice actor also passed away. But this will have no impact for 3 reasons. 1. As we now know with Banjo, DLC negotiations already happened around March 2018, but Heihachi's voice actor only passed away in August 2018, so his voice actor died after the DLC was already decided and wouldn't have affected its procedure (at least if he would be wave 1 DLC). 2. it's not the first time his voice actor died and got replaced. 3. King of Fighters: All Stars will add Heihachi and all characters in that game are voiced, so he will either get a new voice or recycled old clips. Same would apply for Smash
https://www.eventhubs.com/news/2019...rsions-billy-kane-chang-and-yashiro-nanakase/

Also many people cling to a quote by Sakurai that he will not add fighting game characters to Smash, but that was during the base-game development of Smash 4 and then he obviously changed his mind as he added Ryu as DLC for the same game.
https://nintendoeverything.com/why-sakurai-isnt-keen-on-adding-fighting-characters-to-smash-bros/
https://nintendotoday.com/sakurai-on-fighting-characters-in-smash/

Lastly, Lloyd often gets talked about, as if Sakurai once said he considered adding Lloyd. That is a misquote as when he answered only Lloyd was fitting, it was just about Mii costumes, and not fighters, it was the same interview where he said Geno often gets requested as a fighter by the fans.
https://www.sourcegaming.info/2016/02/21/nintendodream3/
Lloyd:

—The Tales series has 20 years of history, how did you decide on Lloyd for the costume?

Sakurai: I’m not sure if there was any other appropriate choice?

—For example, how about the protagonist of the first game, Cress? [TN: From Tales of Phantasia]

Sakurai: I really think it has to be Lloyd here (laughs).

Heihachi would come with his old self as default and his younger self as an alt.

Now one thing that is somehow controversial and could be the only evidence against Heihachi if it happens in the worst case scenario: When Joker was released, Sega alongside Persona costumes released all their old mii costumes from Smash 4 besides 2: Jacky and Akira. Those 2 most likely were saved for the Terry reveal as they fit the fighter theme, and parallel Smash 4 as Akira's and Heihachi's costumes were released alongside Ryu. There is pretty much no other reason why Sega wouldn't have all their mii costumes re-released, but because Sakurai wants to again have a fighter themed pack. Now you could argue that not all mii costumes will return like Geno and Chocobo, but i'm sure their current absence will have a meaning and they will be added later too.
The problem with this is, before Terry was revealed I had the firm believe that they were saved for Heihachi's reveal. Now it looks like they will be saved for Terry's reveal, which should happen very soon. But when this day comes, we all have to hope for one thing: That Heihachi's Mii Costume will not return at Terry's presentation too. That would be a real roadblock and a soft-deconfirm for me because it would not be explainable why they would incude it, had they planned for him to be a full character.

So we all have to hope at Terry's reveal that that costume never shows up again (unless it's at Heihachi's reveal itself and just there for people who liked the costume in Smash 4 and want it back too out of consistency). But on the bride side, Harada is the manager of Bandai-Namco, has good relations with Sakurai and Tekken is the best selling fighting game (besides Smash) with 48 million units. I'm sure we will get him in, he is a huge gaming icon!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWM-SCjIuNg
Look how Heihachi's costume was presented at 11:18 and 16:32, those camera angles seem like a forshadow that he is special and could be a huge character in the game.

Anyways, what do you think about this?

Your wall of text
Exactly what I said right above you XD. Harada got really heated because people started randomly spamming him with sora4smash and other hashtags. He mentioned in his tweet that he would talk to Sakurai to make sure that the characters have as little chance as possible to make it. I'm not sure how serious he was but at the very least it's enough for me to think that at the very least he may not let a tekken character in smash.

Well that's not a reason to worry for.
https://mobile.twitter.com/harada_tekken/status/1185053442563162113
He only tagged 6 accounts, who supported Jonesy, Arle, Crash Bandicoot, Sora, Doom and Master Chief. Characters like Heihachi and some others were added too in the thread, but he decided to not tag them, so he only targeted those 6.
He will also not be mad at Smash in general, he is the head of Bamco now and they are developing Smash. He knows how important it is and he would definitely be glad to have his character in there. He would never deny it, he is one of the most chill guys when it comes to his characters crossing over to other games.

I hope you're right.
We will know more when Terry drops which should be soon. Maybe even in the first week of November. When we don't see the Heihachi costume there, he is definitely a given for the 2nd DLC wave! So let's not lose the hope and stay tuned for Terry's release!

Heihachi is one of those speculated characters right now that I think is "inevitable" for Smash, in that he's very likely to be Fighters Pass Character 5, and if not, he still has a good chance for the next round of DLC. We're long overdue for another Bandai Namco character besides Pac-Man, and even if Sakurai has said his moveset would be too difficult to translate to Smash, that's something he could still change his mind on like with Ridley's size.

Also, you know how people are hoping that Terry will come with Capcom Vs. SNK 2 music? I have similar hopes with Heihachi. If he gets in, I hope he also brings with him music from Street Fighter X Tekken, if only to get a bit more Street Fighter music into the game (in particular, I don't think Smash has Akuma's theme yet), and because that game has some awesome music in general...

Yes exactly my thoughts too!
If that mii costume problem is out of the way after Terry's reveal he is inevitable! You gave me an idea there, shall i list up all music tracks from tekken that i'd like to see in a Heihachi pack in Smash?

So here is what content i would like to see in a Heihachi Mishima DLC pack.
(having his usual old and the younger aged version from Tag Tournament 2 and Tekken 7 as alts, along with his usual black karate gi with a tiger head on the back on it, his Tekken 7 outfit, and his sumo fundoshi loincloth as a gag outfit)
I would base his moveset on the video from FeliciaFan from a few pages back. So in general he is a close-combat-heavy character, whose sets of specials and normals can combo into each other to create different chains of attacks. Some of the moves that are a must have are his iconic Electric Wind God Fist the Spinning Demon and his Dragon Uppercut and incorporating thing like Raijim Stance and other stances. For a final Smash it could be something funny like throwing someone of a cliff or into a volcano, or wrapping them on a rocket and shooting them into outer space. Heihachi is more than a standard brawler.

Stage: Honmaru (Mishima Dojo)
The very iconic temple, which is in the possession of Heihachi and plays the role of an important location in many games. Mostly Tekken 2, 4, 5 and 7.

Just out of completionist sake. For the people who want to have every mii costume from Smash 4 back. It doesn't hurt anyone as it will not really take up much development time to be ported and the rights for the character would already be cleared. It would be similar to how Link, Fox, Captain Falcon, Isabelle and so on, got their mii costumes back too despite being in the game as a full character.
Also one other small reason i could think of would be, if you want to play as Jin with his mii costume against the real Heihachi, it would look put of place due to their different proportions, so having the mii costume back too to have them all fit neatly together would be cool in my opinion.

Nice, it's never too late. I only created an account here yesterday haha. Btw, saw you on the Geno thread too, so nice that we support the same characters! Are you coincidentally supporting Rayman, Waluigi and Hayabusa too?

Oh yeah i forgot to add the Tag Tournament Ending music in the music list of my post. I remember it played in all the cutscene epilogues when the main mode has been beaten. It has a cool beat.
On another note, Nintendo seems to have uploaded a private video on their Youtube channel. Could be either Terry,s release video or the trailer for DLC #5. So all here stay tuned when it becomes public. And let's hope Heihachi's mii costume never comes back before he gets revealed!

Yes we have to pray for that. Man the mii costume section of Terry's reveal will be a trainride for my blood pressure. But when it is all done and no Heihachi costume was there, i'll be relieved without end! Also i don't know if Akira's and Jacky's costumes being present or not in Terry's reveal could be taken as hints for Heihachi

Didn’t need to be reminded of the mii costume section. Hahaha

That’s going to be a roller coaster of emotions.

So it seems the new spirit event that releases on Friday has the SNK trademark.

Probably means that Terry releases around Friday too. Oh my god, the suspense is killing me right now. I somehow become so nervous even thinking about the moment when that mii costume section starts. But we will win at the end! We are fans from the 2 best selling fighting game franchises, so it will only end after both of them cross-over: Heihachi will come! As a playablf fighter and our dreams will be fulfilled!

Yes exactly that feeling. At the moment we can't do anything but wait and watch out if it hits us or maybe just misses the planet by 1 meter

I Hope Heihachi is the Tekken Representative for Smash; like Terry is for Fatal Fury & King of Fighters; How Ryu & Ken are Street Fighter's Representatives for Smash; all that's left is for Heihachi to NOT ONLY Be Tekken's Representative for Smash; but so far the first DLC Villain Character(Albeit Outright Villain Protagonist, since Joker's still a hero, even if he's a morally grey anti-hero)

He would be an actual answer to the whole “Hero vs Villain” Theme for the Fighting Game Genre Reps (specifically Ryu, Ken & Terry), and yes he is more of a Protagonist Villian but to be fair the games roster happens to be a “You pick a Character, but you make outcome of the chosen character become worse down the road” or put it simply “you die a Hero or you live long enough to become a Villain” long term story. The Heihachi character has been the cornerstone of the Franchise even as a Villain from the beginning till the revelation of why he does what he does makes him the 1-Mishima that was actually doing less harm in the world than his Son & Grandson and I also see how Sakurai thought of put him in Smash 4 but ultimately scrapped his debut, but now that opportunity maybe not lost unless come Terry’s Mii Costume reveal has him returning as a Mii Costume

To me, there's so many characters that could be considered the "main" character for Tekken: Heihachi, Kazuya, Jin, somewhat Lars...

Count me in! I could go for a Tekken character for Smash, with music from the Tekken series, especially Tekken 1, Tekken 2, Tekken 3, and Tekken Tag Tournament 1. Both originals and new remixes. I’d love to hear Smash remixes of Kyoto, Chicago, Ring A Bell, Emotionless Passion, Jin Kazama’s Theme, Ogre’s/True Ogre’s Theme, and others.

This must not mean anything. There were already tousands of wrong 4chan text leaks before. Lets just wait until tomorrow and see what the Terry video will be showing us.
Also i doubt they would make Heihachi's costume return but not Virtual Fighter ones too. Don't worry and as a general rule: stay away from 4chan as 99% of the time it is not good for anything

I'm a little nervous that Heihachi's costume is coming back tomorrow. I'm not usually saddened by costumes but that one would be a bummer. If it doesn't however that's a solid sign for the second season.

Heihachi's not a Mii fighter, even though the Virtua Fighter Mii costumes returned. That definitely seems like a positive.

Yeah, if Heihachi was coming back just as a Mii costume, it would've made sense for him and Akira to come with Terry. Instead, they brought back Jacky.

The fact that there's no Heihachi Mii has me super hopeful. If not him, another Bamco rep. Interesting...
