Generally when i use it it sends them up not down so Ive never seen that, though one time i got spiked by a snake through my d-air but killed him by sending him up

D-air does not spike. If it send an opponent downward, then it would be because of bad DI.

Wow i finally found the situation where the d-air actually spikes. It can actually stage spike if the character that gets hit with it has enough damage and Di's toward the stage. Way too situational though.

Lol I didn't think it would be that simple. Thanks
Also, is it a good desicion to have Pit as a main and have Diddy to fall back on for ****ty matchups like MK and GnW?

He does sound like a viable back-up for those match-ups. As for G&W, ugh so effin annoying because of his broken b-air. Just watch out for that and the all-ko'ing up smash. But diddy should be good against MK.

roxas didn't tell you the best way to get out of it. Hold UP on the control stick, should pop you out of his cargo hold pretty quickly. apparently it works better than mashing buttons.

yes diddy would be a very viable secondary, he'll he'd be a wicked first if you can use him right :p

DI out and behind him against b-air and its not broken :p
if you want to be flashy shield most of the hits then use UpBand smash towards him, I think it cancels him attack and either lets you jump off the ground OR clanks and cancels both peeps animation, and gives you a free smash attack, I'ma try it out lol

I personally hate fighting Oli. So few options to actually hit him, and he outcamps us.
olimar is like... oh gawrsh. broken grabs.
only way to win is to gimp like a mother :3

Take it from me..I live next to P1 if any of you know he is and I would definitely use diddy as a back up cause ive seen the way he can **** a mk on rainbow cruise so I like it

I've noticed that since Pit doesn't have true comboes at high %'s that the 'hit and run' tactic seems to work best. Punishing with F-smash and aerials in between arrow camping. Am I right to say this? Against most characters that is.

Fly under the stage if you can, or glide as close as you can to the stage then WoI right next to the ledge to auto grab it. Or simply glide onto the stage.

Also, what is the way to momentum cancel with Pit? The frame data isn't complete so I can't see what is the fastest aerial. And in general how do I DI?

how can i avoid getting gimper when i use WOI?
fly under the stage, or up and over.
make sure to only use it as a last resort, as it's pretty easy to gimp.

fastest aerial - dair

press up(&hold) on the analog stick when you are hit,
aim your character for the corners and keep doing your fastest aerial

It may not be complete but it still has the duration of Pit's aerials

fly under the stage, or up and over.

That doesn't seem right

Sorry, but I think there are a few problems with this.

One: While our fastest overall aerial is D-air, I'm still not sure it's whatever move is over faster. but rather which one comes out faster. I've actually heard it both ways, but I think it's whatever one comes out faster, because that's what it feels like to me. Besides, you can normally control your DI while doing a aerial, I don't see why this would be different.

Two: Pressing up isn't always true. DI is a complicated mechanic. Honestly, you should go to the Tactics board if you want more info on this.

Three You got the corners thing right, in a way, but only when you are launched really fast and that's because the corners have the farthest death-boundaries. The only thing is, when you are launched at low percents, it may be more strategic to aim elsewhere.
