It's taking forever, but I guess it would seeing it already found 280(140 tracking cookies) infections at 29%.

Edit: Super bored, and this thing won't change from 3% and it's been near 10 minutes. How much does this help? Cuz my computer's lagging so much things I type on AIM lags(a lot) and videos on youtube that are done uploading stops once in a while.

Do you use an external Firewall? I would also delete all your cookies and empty the internet explorer cache.

If it IS porn, then no wonder. Otherwise it's probably just alot of spyware and addware among other things. Gotta just bare with the slow process of cleaning it. If that doesn't work, it may be something worse. I've already had to wipe my desktop system like twice.

Btw, I have no clue on the difference between firewalls. I deleted the cookies and stuff on my firefox though.

I also got myself spyware doctor, AVG(7.5), and probably in need of a firewall. I asked the PC boards on gamefaqs for the AVG, and I'll get myself a firewall. It's starting to get on track again.

Anything else to fix this problem/better my protection?

Firewalls are extremely important. There are basically two types. The internal kine that come with your computer and is installed when you buy it. Those are pretty much useless. Then there are the external firewalls that you would actually buy at a store, plug into your computer and your internet box ( in my case the Runner of Roads) The external Firewalls are extremely good because they are much stronger and will block tons of stuff from hurting your compy. I just checked my Addware and Spyware and my firewall blocked about 9000 things over a year that could've harmed my PC. And it does it all silently.

It also blocks major things like "worms" and "trojans." These are very serious viruses that once they get in, they'll make a home deep in your hard drive where you can't see it or delete it. And even if you do find it with a program and delete it, they are able to reproduce itself and come back over and over. All the while the virus could be sending your personal info back to the creator of the virus like email info, credit card, or even worse...social security numbers. I speak from exp cause my firewall crashed, got a worm, and my email started sending out spam. Almost got my internet suspended by The Runner of Roads. I had to send my compy in to my uncle and get the hard drive totally wiped and reinstall everything. It's basically the only way to do it.

So esspecially if you have a PC ( Macs just don't get infected for some reason) I would highly suggest you invest in an external firewall. I don't have any brand names of the top of my head, but I'm sure you can figure that out.

And no worries Shoyo, I know you don't look at porn. ^^ Just pictures of Men that look like Women. lolz

Oh yeah, I forgot to compliment you on your new sig. I like it, but it crops off the text on the bottom. You should fix the size cause the Shoyo for top tier **** is rediculous but it works. lolz

Oh yeah man. You always need to check before installing programs because some programs try to trick you into installing bars and stuff like that. Weather bug sux. I hate it. As long as you have one good anti virus program ( got one from my uncle who is an authority on computers) and spybot. That's all you need.

And do get away from porn, and kanji....if we have a Lehua Fest on Friday, who would be able to make it. I know most Kapolei people have work, but who would want to come and if you live on my side (wahiwa, mililani, waipahu, kapolei) would you need a ride. I'm gonna shoot for 4-10 again.

I'm thinking of doing a tourny for fun with free entry and prizes. Low Tier or something like that.

I think my hard drive got hit with a huge virus or something. It takes like forever to boot and lags like a whole lot when I'm just on. =(

Anyway, I got rid of a few programs that I rarely use, defragged yesterday, got spyware doctor, got avg(running scan now), using an old norton program I found during removing programs(scanning now as well), and got Comodo Firewall Pro which I turned on. Looks to be a trusty firewall, though it's kind of a hassle to allow/deny everything like using AIM, Firefox, etc. Hope everything's alright.
