Wow your focus is really cool. I have a couple of friends in the art field and one of them is going to a school called Drexel for her art major, she loves drawing art but she is doing a computer design degree to get a stable career if I have it correct.Basically. Digipen is usually within the top 3 on most lists for the major from what I've noticed.
I'm focusing more on concept art. I'd like to do 3D (mostly work in Zbrush for concept/hi-poly modeling) and texturing as well.....but my main main maaaaaaaain focus is concept art. So more on the 2D side of stuff haha
That is awesome Holder! I remember you talking about possibly doing a degree in philosophy and now that you are achieving that is spectacular and good on ya man! Also preparing for the LSAT is so cool if your course of action does take you that way. Hope everything goes well for ya!As of September I'll be starting my online courses through American Public University for my bachelor's in philosophy. Afterwards I may possibly go to law school after taking the LSAT, depending if my interests go in that direction as I think it might. I've always felt ambiguous as to what I'd do with a philosophy degree, the one subject that really interested me, because being a professor just doesn't get my blood flowing and motivate me. And yet, putting up this potential law school idea gives me the first drive to study in my lifetime. Whether I go or not, I'll come out with a better GPA because of it. And American Public University seems pretty legit, and the general courses it asks me of are way better than Calhoun or UAH which demanded a lot of mathematics and science. I assumed course requirements were more standardized than this, but I'm happy to be cut some slack. Interested to see what happens! :D
J said:Haha I was probably going to say Anne of Greene Gables but that was a musical. I mean that was such an eye-opening show as to what I wanted to do the rest of my life because of how much I learned in that one show in regards to singing with an entire orchestra and in front of an audience and dancing and just being alone on-stage with just a spotlight on you in front of hundreds of people singing a powerful ballad song and dying on stage was just, I can't even. It was also the first time that I had to wear a wig on stage but that was interesting in of itself. Better than having to wear a fake mustache! I will tell you that much.
Uhm I would have to say that it is a tie between Enchanted April and A Christmas Carol. I would probably say it is a tie. Christmas Carol was the first time I was given the literal lead of the entire play and I got to play Scrooge. It was such a fun show to do but it also challenged me as an actor a lot because it was completely different then who I am which kind of made it easy but at the same time not. It's weird, acting haha. But yeah I loved the show because I got to delve into so many different emotional character acting with like hating the world and everyone in it, to crying on stage, to even dancing around on stage as the happiest man alive. It was such a fun performance but holy monologs there were so many of them and I put off learning all of them till the last week of the show which almost made my director kill me but I fixed that really quickly. I guess the moment I take away most from that performance is that when I went to take my bow as the last bow of the show, the entire audience stood up and gave me a standing ovation which was really shocking because it was just.....I can't explain it hahaha. I guess I would say that is single-handedly the greatest feeling in the entire world and helped me realize that is what I wanted to do the rest of my life.
Then with Enchanted April, I would say it was my favorite because I literally got to be a chauvenistic pig to one of the "Not so nice" girls of theatre because she was my wife in the show and experienced so many different things there as well. It was also what I considered my first "real" show in front of hundreds of people and getting used to what goes on during Tech and Hell week fully. I mean the things I had to do was definitely interesting because I had to endure the dreaded stage kiss for the first time, while having a posh british accent (funny thing, I get casted as British guys a lot), then there was a towel scene were it was a really small towel for comedy aspect and this was all in my first "real" play so it taught me a lot. It was just a lot of fun. The script was terrible though! Like the play was just like a Life-time movie in the terms of it being all about women's feelings and emotions and ugh it was just boring to listen to the entire time. It was about women "finding themselves again in an Enchanted April". No thanks. Funny story though, for the towel scene I only have like 10-15 seconds to change backstage before I had to go back out again which was insane because it literally was 3-5 lines and they would also talk faster due to being nervous, so the first night when I thought I could do the quick-change by myself, I went on with the towel and my socks which made my director face-palm at me. Then the costume crew sent some of their members to help. They were all girls, and all friends of mine. That was interesting to say the least. xD However, there were some that weren't friends and I got introduced to them as "meet your strip buddy" so the name just stuck with the girl. Aaaand my ex was also one of the girls who helped me with the quick-change, though I wasn't dating her at the time.
Yeah, the reforms are really awesome. I'm quite sad there's no Lightning Mage reform yet though. I'd be active again and try for 100 on my Lightning Mage, but I just can't play much anymore because i've been focusing on smash, LoL, and other things such as work.My game Lost Saga is getting a big makeover tomorrow that includes reforms, new stages, characters and modes! >w<
I just responded. I kinda forgot that I hadn't replied yet, lol.Haha I would absolutely love to talk about theatre/acting/directing but I believe that distracts from this thread a bit since it isn't really a social.
I am trying to get a theatre thread posted for the Pool Room, but Werekill hasn't responded whether it would be alright yet or not.
However, feel free to message me on VM/PM/Skype!
Haha yeah, already got to your VM but thanks again!I just responded. I kinda forgot that I hadn't replied yet, lol.
You take my wall virginity (without my consent even) and you go off with some guy and treat me like this? I'll never forgive you....Playing the beginning of Majora's Mask and making out until the moon starts crashing before you go into the Clock Tower is sure an awesome tail end to a date. xD
