Nice, can't believe I can converted someone to the Agumon religion with just an icon.Okay, now I really want Agumon for Smash Bros.
I was always a supporter for Agumon, that icon just turned my want to a need.Nice, can't believe I can converted someone to the Agumon religion with just an icon.
Real question tho, do you think that if Digimon is in Smash which will be the best representation for the franchise. The childhood nostalgia that is from the old PlayStation era games like World or the new direction that the series is taking right now which is Cyber Sleuth? The best option is both but for me personally considering that the team has been very ambitious on trying to improve the franchise step by step and with Cyber Sleuth success they knew that this is what Digimon is, trying to appeal to new audience while also bring back fans of the old series while not trying too hard to capitalize and constantly pandering on the old days. Not saying that the old game is bad and easily forgettable since I myself used to play them but honestly Digimon has been really praised for it's more mature take on the series and treating the fans as a grown-up.Fellow Agumon supporter here, that is a nice icon. Thinking about it, I'm not sure if I posted my list of top most wanted Bamco characters so I'll do that now.
1. Agumon (Most wanted): I grew up watching the first two seasons of Digimon and it's one of my favorite shows. I also grew up with the Rumble Arena games. I think Agumon would be so cool with a digivolution mechanic and Digimon vs Pokemon needs to happen someday.
So if I understand what you are saying, then I think it shouldn't be too hard to incorporate both old and new content like music tracks and Digimon from the older and newer series as spirits. For the music tracks, I could see them choosing from a variety of games since to my knowledge there is not a particular group of music that is iconic for the series aside from the opening song to the original season of the anime. In other words, Ninja Gaiden has Unbreakable Determination for example, but I'm not sure if there is an equivalent to Digimon when it comes to sheer popularity and iconic nature. For spirits, I'm leaning on them focusing mostly on the Digimon from the first season and then some of the most popular Digimon from later seasons/games. This would work out pretty good considering that they just remade Digimon Adventure 1 so the original cast is relevant again.Real question tho, do you think that if Digimon is in Smash which will be the best representation for the franchise. Tbh, I would be really happy if they have a stage cameo with the human character also appear instead of just the Digimon, it would be a perfect balance since the human character is as important as the Digimon in the story which is really deep as oppose to Pokémon copy and pasted linier narrative that the only captivating part about the series is just the Pokemon, I also expected them to come with a mii costume based on the Cyber Sleuth protag. I don't really expected them to be a spirit since there's not much to work with.So if I understand what you are saying, then I think it shouldn't be too hard to incorporate both old and new content like music tracks and Digimon from the older and newer series as spirits. I just looked it up and it seems that they are not on modern consoles. However, there was a reboot of the series on the PS3 and Xbox 360 that featured both Splatterhouse 2 and 3 as unlockable extras.Have Splatterhouse 2 and 3 been re-released for modern systems? I'm aware that the original arcade game and Wanpuku Graffiti were apparently in the Namco Museum games.
On it!I think the poll is still missing this little guy:
Yeah, I was aware of the 2010 game having all 3 main games as extra features. It just annoys me we've not had all 4 of the games prior to 2010 re-released in a compilation.I just looked it up and it seems that they are not on modern consoles. However, there was a reboot of the series on the PS3 and Xbox 360 that featured both Splatterhouse 2 and 3 as unlockable extras.
Probably everybody in the poll above and plus. Also, nice avatar dude.I wonder what a roster would be like if Bandai Namco made their own smash bros?
No problem.Thank You.
You've got a pretty good list here, but it definitely shows Bandai Namco is not lacking in potential optionsHere's a list of 30 Namco Characters

Added one more character for Digimon, IdolM@ster, Xenosaga and Dark Souls to even it out with other franchise that have 2 or more main character and also replace Taizo Hori with just Dig Dug since people is more familiar with his Smurf face arcade-y look rather than his human appearance which always associated with Taizo Hori (which not many know). Here's a list of 30 Namco Characters

Well, can you replace Impmon with Gabumon, add Solaire in and Teru Tendo from Idolm@ster since he's pretty much the main icon of the male Idols in the game (yes, it exist)? There.
Could Teru be a Haruka echo?Well, can you replace Impmon with Gabumon, add Solaire in and Teru Tendo from Idolm@ster since he's pretty much the main icon of the male Idols in the game (yes, it exist)?
I mean he could, his height difference isn't that far apart (him is 175 cm while Haruka is 158 cm), I would prefer her echo to be from Cinderella Girls, the successor to the original (the one where Mio Honda from)Could Teru be a Haruka echo?

are you done yet?
I mean I don't know if Hero and Banjo is a worthy of an E3 Reveal or not since both of them isn't that widely recognizable. So if we are getting a Bandai-Namco rep, when do you think we'll see them? I'm thinking the next reveal since I don't see anybody from Bandai-Namco's catalog besides Heihachi who is out who would be E3 reveal worthy or hyped through the community's perspective. So if we are getting a reveal in February or March, I totally think it will be the Bandai-Namco rep if we are getting another one in this game.
Banjo & Kazooie are N64 icons and Hero is a combination of the protagonists from Dragon Quest which is really big in Japan with over 80 million in sales. I would say they're E3 reveal worthy.I mean I don't know if Hero and Banjo is a worthy of an E3 Reveal or not since both of them isn't that widely recognizable.
Agreed. If Hero and Banjo are good enough for a E3 reveal then I can see characters like Lloyd, Nightmare, Chosen Undead or Agumon be announced.I mean I don't know if Hero and Banjo is a worthy of an E3 Reveal or not since both of them isn't that widely recognizable.
Probably me but I think that, other than Heihachi, Agumon make a good E3 worthy reveal if Digimon Survive also announced there too. I mean it would be pretty amusing since we get to see their rivalry (mostly one-sided) with Pokemon came true than just being the talk of the town.Banjo & Kazooie are N64 icons and Hero is a combination of the protagonists from Dragon Quest which is really big in Japan with over 80 million in sales. It was more of the theming. The other big reveal were the Mii Fighters, who are also highly customizable. I think the theme of that E3 was the customizing options, so the reveals there are outliers to the standard big picks.I mean, I wouldn't really say Palutena was E3 worthy.
