Venusaur is a mascot for Green Version...
He still got a significant design change, he got additional leaves and vines, flowers on the front and ear and sturdier legs to support the significantly larger flower as well as a slightly different shape for his face. All Megas got significant changes, bar Kangaskhan.

If glowing wasn't a part of the initial design of Groudon and Kyogre before, then maybe, but they have.

"Hey you! I just travelled from a land very far away called 'Kalos', you may have heard of it. I'm looking for a special trainer to take this new discovery, and use it defeat the elite four. Here!"

Ruby recieved Key Stone. It was placed in the key items pocket.

"If you find any mysterious stones that seem to resonate with your pokemon, try using them with this device in battle! It will unlock some serious power hidden inside of them. Well, best of luck!"

I love how everyone supports the character just because Hoenn was confirmed! I wouldn't mind Sceptile, I would mind what his inclusion meant though.

I would have personally preferred Swampert.... But I'm most likely alone on that....

But ah well, I guess out of the three, Sceptile probably makes the most sense....

I'm in the "It's probably too late" camp, or at least the "I don't think the remakes are going to make a difference at this specific point" camp.

However, if we do in fact get character DLC, Sceptile is now near the top of my list.

This is reaching over the bar man. D:
Sooner or later, we'll be asking for 8 Pokemon characters.
Right. I really never want over 6 pokemon reps. I think the games have plenty of representation through the pokeball pokemon. Three starter pokemon being playable would be a nice nod to the choice you have to make in pokemom games, then pikachu is an icon, lucario is THE fighter of pokemon apparently, and then mewtwo is the legend and jigglypuff is the joke. I really think mewtwo is a better fit, but jigglypuff will probably return. I just want 6, its ultimately what made it into brawl and it represents a full team of pokemon. I wouldnt mind having more too too much, but if there truly is a limited roster size, I rather rep as many franchises as possible rather than as many pokemon as possible. Pikachu, Lucario, Mewtwo, Charizard, Greninja, Sceptile. I'd hate to see jiggs go, but this line up is worth her retirement.

Actually i don't think that affect too much...

In Brawl we had:
Pikachu
Purin
Lucario
Charizard
Ivysour
Squirtle

6 pokemons, so now we could get:
Pikachu
Purin
Lucario
Charizard
Mewtwo
Sceptile
Greninja

Only 1 more, it won't be that hard... also Sceptile could easily use some of Ivysour attacks (B ->, ultimate -only the solar beam-, Up B, etc...)

Presumably your fridge.
Being a band wagoner feels so wrong...but I would lying if I said I didn't want to see the starter trinity completed. Plus Sceptile is a slick Pokemon. You have my support.

I knew that a Sceptile thread would start flooding with support after HURRN CONFIRMED.

But seriously. We have fire starter Charizard, water starter Greninja, and the next step is grass starter Sceptile!

Or Grovyle, whatever, but still!

ADD ME, SUCKAS!

I would have liked Sceptile in before Hoenn remake, but the difference is that I feel like he has a considerable chance of getting in.

I support Sceptile!

I never thought the lack of a grass type did much for him.
And I always thought we'd get the remakes eventually.

But now... it makes sense.
Also, muh patterns = 2 Pokemon get cut, 2 Pokemon newcomers :awesome:

I now feel that Sceptile is all but confirmed.

Still would rather have Ivysaur.

Even with the confirmation of Hoenn remakes/sequels, I still think Sceptile is very unlikely. But hey, he's my favorite grass type after all so I'll support him!

I'm not so good at making movesets, but I wanted a moveset that showed he was a successor to Ivysaur. And also added uniqueness.

B: Bullet Seeds
Like Ivysaur's, but goes upward, downward, and forward. Like Elec Man.
^B: Agility
Would run up into the air with a brief boost of running/walking speed after landing.
vB: Absorb
Kind of like a counter or a reflector, when using this move, attacks towards Sceptile give damage to the attacker.
<B>: Razor Leaf/ Leaf Blade
Basically Ivysaur's
Final Smash: Leaf Storm
Leaves flying all over the stage. I think it could be pretty cool.

So I know next to nothing about Pokemon, but I did a little studying of the types in the Trading Card game:

Here are some of the types and the confirmed characters in each one. (Feel free to correct me on any wrong)

Grass: (to be filled out)

Fire: Charizard, Mega Charizard X

Water: Greninja

Lightning: Pikachu

Fighting: Lucario

Psychic: (to be filled out)

Colorless: Charizard

Darkness: Greninja

Metal: Lucario

Dragon: Mega Charizard X

Fairy: (to be filled out)

In order to fill out the Grass, Psychic, and Fairy types, a Grass Starter, Mewtwo, and Jigglypuff would be the most likely candidates to cover all the basic types.

Oh please happen, oh please please please happen.

I want this to happen, I do consider him the most likely newcomer at the moment but............

................I have a feeling in my gut that we are only getting 5 pokemon reps, I want to be wrong if it means Sceptile is playable but I honestly think that we will get Jigglypuff and thats it.
