I wouldn’t mind Furil as an alt character, but I honestly feel like Furil and Alph should instead be echoes of Lip and Olimar accordingly.

My problem with that is that they look too similar, and I don't want a color slot to be wasted out of the many recolors Lip can have. A Ruby outfit would be nice with the headband. You can make the argument with Ninten but at least make him pose differently from Ness.

So I was talking about Lip as a fighter in Smash on YouTube, and some guy used this as an argument against her inclusion:
“Beating up on a little girl wouldn’t be right.”
Yet Isabelle, a character as innocent as they can come can, and it’s perfectly fine to beat up little boys like Ness/Lucas?

I think it's really telling that I have yet to hear a compelling argument for why Lip should not be a playable character. It's either grasping at straws, like that guy (it's not as though Lip is incapable of defending herself), or something like obscurity or Japan-only status that hasn't stopped characters from getting in before. Besides, what about Duck Hunt? They're just a dog and a duck.

The only decent argument I saw was the whole ‘under the dress’ thing, but just get her the void like Peach or something. Even that argument can be handled. People just seem to hate the idea of small girls being in smash. Just look at how K Rool and Ridley fans reacted seeing Ashley as an assist.

I can only imagine the comics Lip would be featured in. Ridley trying to attack Lip, but none of his attacks having any effect on her. Snake coming out his box to fight Lip, but then going back in refusing to fight her.

Youtube's comment sections are full of childrens and people who don't really have common sense. It's why I never read those.

This is why Lip needs to be Smash, because, at this point, it might be the only way to fully revive her series putting her into the public eye even outside of Japan. With enough demand for it, Nintendo will have to make PdP a series alongside FE. (I’m still hoping for that 3D puzzle platformer PdP, being able to fully explore the Popples would be beautiful.)

Y’know, with Ultimate being only about a month away and there supposedly being 7 fighters to be shown in that time, I’m worried that Lip may actually have been forgotten again.
I really hope that’s NOT the case, but with how things have been shaping up, I’m concerned.

I'm sure most people aren't aware of the Japanese Panel de Pon fan animations.

Still, people are too limited on their perspectives on certain content being featured in the game.
I suggested that the POW block should be an item in Sm4sh, but someone thought it would be unbalanced; I think the Ramblin Mushroom would be an item in the game, but they believed that it is more likely to be an assist trophy even though there's evidence of items in a similar size such as the Bomber item which looked like they'd play a similar role. In the end, both of these items played in a role in the game with the POW block not always making you tumble in the game while the Ramblin Mushroom was an item in the game not an assist trophy.

And it really sucks that it's very likely one of the people who is too limited in their perspective is the creator and current showrunner of the Smash Bros. franchise. I don't understand why he doesn't realize that limiting himself to internationally recognized franchises is doing nothing except arbitrarily limit who he can put in the game.

Exactly.
Smash Bros alone has the ability to take long, forgotten franchises and shed light on them, making them cool and relevant again.
I know I mention Kid Icarus a lot here, but the thing is, my case with it is completely true.
I doubt before Brawl that many people even talked about Pit.
I know that PdP is a Japan locked series, but who says it has to stay that way? Just do the Marth thing in Melee again. Fire Emblem became huge, PdP has the potential too. I’d even argue it could become bigger than FE considering how popular magical girls are nowadays. People make clubs around this type of thing for Sakurai’s sake.
