Possibility of me and Amy coming tonight, depends on if my parents will let me. (i stay at their house and they pay all my bills, so I suppose I have to listen to them, just a little >.>)

If not, we'll be there tomorrow for sure. Can't wait for Zelda dittos

found a pretty solid anime store in Raleigh, but they're open from 12-7, so I may miss doubles. <.<

Wow guys, this was seriously one of the best tournaments I've been to. Thank you so much for the excellent hosting, the space, food, and drink were amazing and well worth the venue fee; it was really generous. Sadly I didn't have money to blow on doubles, but singles were a blast, aside from that one 6 minute match against link and me getting ***** in mother****ing Peach dittos. >_< *goes to learn shiek* We need more people for pools and regional crews next time! Thanks again for the awesome tournament. <3 TA, Bmore, NC and SC. ^_^

It was what I expected in the tournament. I knew what would happen, and exactly that did happen.
Part of the reason why I entered the singles tournament was because people wanted me too. I was told one plays better during a tournament match, yet I still felt the same as I did during friendlies, so my performance was never effected. I also heard pools would've given me a fairer chance. That's why Beanie and Chocolate Thunder didn't enter. I should've followed suit because I gained no experience to learn from.

Well, the environment was beyond awesome! I was able to release some of my frustration on my controller; I thrusted it out as far as possible in the back yard. It was nice there was food. When the next Pirates Jubilee is announced, which is hopefully real soon, I'm gonna try to stay the night before the event.

As for shout-outs, I . . . um . . . Well, I didn't play enough people because I didn't want to push myself on anyone. Not only that, but I didn't want to bother anyone with my weak skills. That and, um . . . I forgot to ask for names. . .:embarrass

Pools would have given people 3 matches guaranteed instead of two, in which case you'd be eliminating 13 people to make a 16 man bracket. There's simply no reason to play pools, which would have taken much longer, to eliminate less people than you're putting into the final bracket. The point is to get the best of the those attending into a bracket, not to extend play time. You could have also have had 4 pools of ~seven with 2 advancing which would have forced a staggering number of matches to have to take place before brackets, and would have also made it very difficult for most attending to advance to bracket. There simply weren't enough people for pools, certainly not when we didn't even have a full 32 man bracket. Also, even if you don't play better in tournament, a great deal of other players do, which is still better experience than playing them in friendlies, regardless of how you play differently. You just have to step it up and have some confidence. ;)

Good tourney, host another soon =D

It was great meeting all the out-of-staters. I wish I had played more, but I didnt want to take away from the others. Next time, for sure.

Also, it was an honor playing another Zelda player, Plank. I learned a bit from you that I will use in the next tournament. Good stuff.

hailyea knorr, we can team again next time. we won a match though against a sheik/jiggly team...so that makes it all worth it haha.

this tourney was really fun, i enjoyed all of it. i should have played dodgeball, watching 59js throw that ball all the way over the fence to the next yard was funny hah.

i actually did what i said and played bowser all tourney and got 9th. i'll do better next time.
i'll do some shout outs later.
but thanks to the VA/MD people that came!

yea man thanks for hosting, i had a blast. i had a good share of the food, and the light atmosphere and good weather made for an awesome day. NC seems like it really has a tight knit scene of smashers that enjoy playing with eachother, and thats sweet. im definitely gonna try and make it down to raleigh again sometime in the future. and WTF is this multiple moonwalk ish? lololol craziest falcon ish ive ever seen, and im g-regulate. itd be interesting to see how some of your top players would do with some out-of-state practice, because theres definitely a lot of talent. hopefully ill see you guys at *pound* 2. peace and love
