You missed my point. The point was that the 8 episode thing wasn't true. It's just Sankaku trying to be funny.
And according to the "they could cut" stuff logic, then they can do this with any length, pretty much.

On another note: About 30 minutes ago I realized I never watch part V of The Sigh of Suzumiya Haruhi.

It facking LOVE Shamisen! I laughed so hard when he was struggling to stay on Nagato's shoulder. Facking kawaii...like seriously.

LOL Sigh part 5 was like one of the best episodes of the season (along with BLR and Sigh p4, IMO), if not the best. Its animation was absolutely amazing, no doubt about that.

But yeah, you gotta love that philosophical (deep-voiced) talking cat.
