I'm sorry if a mod told us not to be even remotely extreme... And if you must know, it is rather difficult for us to hold back such feelings. Even if corny phrases are our only legal output.... so be it.

I'm guessing you're no fan of dry humor?

Agreed. Although it's understandable in the sense that typical Americans don't like to think for themselves and would rather have things spoon-fed to them while not caring about things are particularly important, like themes and such, because they just want to be entertained and such things as critical thinking and contemplation are "boring." A shame, it is.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

I prefer books to television in general (unless it's old school pokemon) because a good book generally is much better than a good show. Not to mention I'm allowed to picture it how I want based on the descriptions given.

That's the argument that -insert best samus main from texas's name- is trying to use. If you read a book and imagine everything, then you're wrong because the movie is right.

You know the directors didn't write the book?

>_>

I'm not directing that last question at you btw.

The only reason I don't like reading manga (although still much preferred) is because I tend to rush through things without paying attention xD

Nm, waiting for viable conversation to start up.

Oh wait here it is.

Lol.

Most people know that imagination is more powerful than anything you can possibly see. The only thing is admittedly movies are easier to access, read, and understand than books are, obviously due to the fact that it gives you descriptions of characters through visuals and emotions through vocal ranges and facial expressions. People who watch movies of books also usually read the book before they've watched the movie (just like people who've watched movies of nostalgic games usually have played the game first).

Please don't talk for an entire race of people just because that's how you feel it is. Yes, movies are for entertainment, but a great deal of Americans still read in order to expand their views on many subjects.

I take that insult pretty highly =/.

We're all Americans, and we all know that stereotype is VERY stereotyped. Don't rage about an obvious stereotype. He's not talking about you, or even MOST Americans.

Yes it did.

This sentence is what I'm talking about. I'm sorry I used the same word in different forms multiple times.
