wtf I'm sorry but this is ridiculous

If you can see that somebody is ugly, and pretty much every guy has said or thought 'Thank god Im not as ugly as him' or something of the like, then you can also see that somebody is pretty. Why wouldn't you actually?

The thing is that people cannot just say 'he/she is hawt' about someone of the same gender because that would come over as gay and many people just don't want that. 'hawt' just means 'seems very attractive/seems to be able to attract many guys and girls with those looks' and you should be able to judge on that.

Its also pretty funny you use ants as an example but you don't use dogs or cats. Ants are generally not found pretty at all and they to most of us all of them look exactly the same. However, I've heard "your dog is so pretty!!" all million times, which is a positive judgment on the dog's beauty. That's doesn't mean that one would like to anally **** the dog (or, scratching the hyperbole, be attracted to it), it just means that one finds that the dog fits their definition of beauty of prettiness.

EDIT: Why do you think so many guys (and girls) go to the gym? It is definitely bot because all of them want to be healthy, the majority of them wants to achieve the idea of beauty. And what is the idea of beauty? It is, in this case, having an athletic body, looking healthy, looking as if you pay a bit of attention to your looks. And where do people get this perception of beauty from? By having looked at other people and thinking "I'd like to be as pretty him/her".
