Team Underboob is no more. That saddens me. Flat-chested women have no underboob to speak of.

*peers--no, leers--- at Lythium.*

Well, yeah, all of Hazama's stuff is safe. I knew that (after a fashion). His Distortion Drives are about the only things that are unsafe on block but you're never going to see a Hazama player use those outside of combos (or in the case of Houtenwhatever, outside of punishing people that are way too close for comfort 'cuz in those situations it's actually okay for Hazama to trade with that move. It leads to combos).

You have to almost force the Hazama player to make a mistake. Footsies are like, paramount.

Is that claw > pull close > j2c safe on block / instant block? Maybe it was netplay lag but I've parried it several times last night against Minato.

:O

But Mu has underboob and she's flat! Anywho, Team Underboob will make a comeback, I promise. I just have to find new material to work with.

I feel like playing against Hazama is so irritating because it is then that you realize how limited your options are against him. And then you sadface, and try to tough it out anyway because what else can you do? I feel like I had a decent grasp of that match-up when my boyfriend was playing Hazama for a while, but he quit him shortly after he started playing him. And it's all gone now. :I

I played against Hazama extensively in CS1. A buddy of mine played him and actually played him really freaking well. He won most of our matches back then even though I did give him a run with my derptastic Ragna.

CS2 Hazama is an entirely different story.

It's not safe on instant block. As for regular block, it depends on a lot of factors.
I'm pretty sure it can be a valid block string when distanced right. Online probably made me do the Drive follow up too late.

I don't play BB much so I definitely should go into training mode and find out. :ohwell:

I liked playing Hazama back in CS1, but I love how he plays in CS2. No more autopiloting by 3C to Zaneiga and he pretty much gets 40+ heat from any good combo.

Eh. I updated my post with more combos Lythium. Hopefully it helps but it looks like a huge blob of the same inputs and a wall of text. Such are Makoto's combos!

EDIT: Nvm my post is useless now, Omni has a thread: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?12021-CS2-Makoto-Nanaya-s-Combo-Listing-and-Discussion-Thread

And now I just found out I wasted all my time trying to do 663236A~D instead of 2366A~D. I'm actually sorta mad now. .______.

What other kind of input shortcuts are in this game? Before I kill myself trying to attempt other combos through hard inputs. I know TK specials are 2368. Is there a better way of doing 236236?

CSI Hazama was like... wtfeasymode. Looking back on it now, before CSII came along, Hazama was really basic. At least now they implemented just how useful counter hits can really be.

You just gotta believe practice!

Also, as a reminder for the tournament. Match deadlines for first round is July 6th, which is only a couple days away. Matches that still need to be played (in case you don't check your PMs):

- arturefo vs. Kuraudo
- Scamp vs. Ophy (I know you already spoke to me about this, guys... :3c)
- Werekill vs. Crusayer

And for you keeners, since I haven't updated the bracket yet. Matches that can be played in the meantime, if you're so inclined:

- Spelt vs. Darky-Sama
- Jam Stunna vs. Raziek

Thanks, Crusayer! :3c

CS1 Hazama was one combo, 47 million setups. At least now he takes effort.

Yeah, didn't all of his combos end with like jCx5>6C>214D~C>jCx5>j214B?

Then again, what am I talking about. The number of Noel combos that end in jD>d6B>d5D>d5C>Bloom is uh...pretty high, lol.

Welp, to be fair, in CS1, everyone had two or three combos that they should learn. Hazama just had the one. :p
Now that I think of it, I haven't really learned that many combos in BB games. Just a midscreen, a corner, a meter, an oki, and a CH at max.
And usually all those combos are just slight variations of each other (well... in Hazama's case).

Sometimes I like to just freestyle and mess around with RCs mid match though.
True. And to make things worse, that 1 Hazama combo was far from 'controller friendly'. :urg:
I think his usual one was like 5B 3C 214D~C 5C 2C 4DA 4DD j.5Cx5 dj.5Cx5 214B though lol

Actually my point was simply that a lot of j5C-ing is one of those things that'll shorten your controller lifespan a good bit.
I guess I was thinking execution-wise. At least it isn't like Sol...
I swear I'm going to break my arcade stick one day because of Grand Viper.

Reminds me. Is it true you can just open up your arcade stick, mess around with a couple wires and put in an old 360 motherboard to make it work with both PS3 and 360?

An arcade stick is just a bunch of buttons and the joystick, but the "mess around with a couple of wires" part is more complex than you make it out to be.

I was just quoting my buddy. Who actually said it only involved two wires and switching them from one motherboard to another depending on what system you wanted to play it on.

It's easier to dual-mod a 360 stick to PS3, than the other way. I haven't done it myself, but I believe it's a lot more involved than that. Could be wrong though.

No worries, I know nothing about it other than the like 3 sentences he said about it. I didn't even know it was possible. Though I DO know with a converter you can use 360 controllers on the PS3. I remember seeing Nini do it a couple of times.

Oi, Raziek. At the Smash Hotel, we should play BlazBlue.
Sounds good, I can bring my Arcade Stick, but I don't think I'll have room for a PS3. Can you provide?

Depending on the pull, possibly. Definitely not on IB. Throwing out a j.B or a j.2C can be difficult to punish. It's definitely not impossible though, I get 6A'd out of it all the time by a local Ragna player.
I think he's even more dangerous in CS2 than what he was in CS1.

Smooth Criminal
Completely agree.
I'm available all day, Raziek.
Sorry Jam, I ended up having a friend over and completely forgot. We'll get around to it sooner or later, lol.

Really sorry to disconnect Jam, I forgot to button check, my C was taunt. >_<

Toss me another invite, that's my bad.
