My arcade stick costed so much. It's a PS2 arcade stick with all Sanwa parts.
It costed about 200 dollars. :urg:

It was worth it since I got that PS2 to PS3 converter from SRK.
All I play are RPGs and Fighting games, so the arcade stick was well worth it for me.
Like Perfect Hero said, no one should get an arcade stick just for one game.

I have a problem with PS3 players.

They have no personality. All I do is infinite and I haven't gotten a single angry letter. Even when I decided to take initiative and be an *** to everyone I played, most of my responses were:

"Yeah, well...next time I'll probably beat you!"

thats pretty funny to be honest matador, mostly because you are actually trying to pick a fight after...the...fight...

@Minato
Yeah you do have a point on that with teching but with me at least I guess I haven't played that often to really tech a throw by instinct yet...I kinda stare at the exclamation point and then go "oh"
But yeah teching throws in GG is kinda...unintentional I think for most people even though some characters can do some really good stuff from their throws if you can FRC them consistently...too bad that I think the proration from throws is like 50%

Lol. Maybe they are just mellow, or don't care?

Besides, it's better than them telling you F*** you, or the like.

Haha, yeah. When I first played BB and saw the "!!", I was like deer in the headlights.
I usually failed at teching them. For GG, it's usually on accident.

I've never cursed out another player over messages before.
I usually be a jerk right back by doing extra combos or whatever after I win a round.

Yo I got a problem. I play GG on my Wii, and BB on my PS3. What do I do? Is it easy to mod it to play on both?
Are you talking about arcade sticks? There are complicated ways with modding.
I just took the easier route and got a PS2 arcade stick so I could buy a converter for a PS3 or a Wii.

Yeah, I'll probably get a PS3 stick since GG isn't played at tournaments nearly as much.

Haven't played BlazBlue in awhile now. If anyone on PSN wants to play me, just ask.
It's fun playing more people that I know rather than random players in a lobby.

The Xbox community seems to lack much communication on Blazblue as well. Guess people just like to move on to the next match, rather than talk about their accomplishments or be all angry. I don't know how it goes for the Ps3 Version, but I'm thinking about getting it since im sure more tournaments use that version over the 360.

Im really thinking about getting this game. I've been watching videos and looking up information for it for almost a week. I do have a few questions tho.

1. Is there DLC?
2. Is there balance patches that come out? I heard V-13 was pretty ****.

Two things, V-13 isn't that bad. Only in concept of her being able to poke characters from any where on the field is she broken, but in reality, Rachel and Arakune are the real broken characters of Blazblue. MK and Snake don't have anything on them.

There is no news on DLC or patches. The sequel will go through extensive balancing work, as had the Guilty Gear games.
You MAY expect the exclusive characters in the European release as DLC, but there has been no anouncment, so don't hold your breath for that.

Ok, thanks for the information.

Im sorta surprised to hear that about V-13. Looking from the tier list her matchups looked pretty good but i know how tier list are.

I'm actually surprised at how few V-13's I run across. Gotta give respect for those that can do the dreaded BOX though. :D

Oooh, purdy. Well, to answer your original question:

Overall, Tao is decent. Her moves don't do a lot of damage, but she's super fast. She does well against the higher tiers because she can get past their zoning, but against lower tiers, she's kinda bad. For me, Tao is decidedly average. She used to be one of my secondaries, but I got bored with her pretty quick. :ohwell:

How did Litchi move up so far? That's what I want to know.

Arcadia Magazine usually does tiers by inviting the best players of each character and play 10 matches and does a calculation overall. that calulation (with fruity *** colors) was based on the tier list + SBO results from a Dustloop user to form a rating system of their own

America seriously needs to ****ing wake up and revive the arcade scene and stop being such couch potatoes sitting on their xbox lives and psn's

Sadly, the arcade scene is dying a slow death. There was only one arcade left in Halifax, and it closed. They had garbage machines, but hey, it was still an arcade. No more though. :(

I think Blazblue is kinda making a slight finance flooper.

The hot women should be at least high tier.

Now, I know that from a competitive or a design standpoint, that just sounds silly, because it is. It also sounds very noobish and scrubish.

However, from a business standpoint, its a very wise move.

Female characters tend to be very popular. The 'hottie' of Street Fighter Chun Li is nearly always high or top tier, as well as a huge portion of the fan art. By making Chun, a fan favorite, a high tier character, players don't get discouraged by their love for a crap character. Tao and Noel's low tier placement will, in my business opinion, hurt Blazblue's tournament output to some degree.

An example of how a popular character can hurt a game: Brawl and the Captain. Captain Falcon is a VERY popular character, but in Brawl, he feels mostly a joke. In many Melee vs. Brawl threads I've seen people bring up the accidental nerfed Falcon as an argument.

But again, from a design standpoint, favoring characters that will sell better seems very, very silly, as balance is the goal, not favoritism. But on that note, spacing characters largely outplace all other kind of characters in Blazblue, so your options of playstyles are greatly limited at top level play.

Still though, amazing game.

CRASHiC, I think I love you. Though I have to argue that Chun Li is scary in SFIV. Her thighs are terrifying. Everyone is just so... beefy.

We should just make our own tier list.
