I'm gonna assume it's a permit for a car. What's the policy in Michigan? Are you able to take the test to get your license or do you have to drive for specific number of hours/attend a Driver's Ed course before taking the test?

Pretty sure if you're 18 or older you can skip the driving course and just take the test straight up.

Yeah you can be 18 and take the test without taking the course. Most of the questions are common sense and a few online sources may actually help not going to lie. However there is a permit you can get when you are 18 or older called the TIP where you can practice driving with an adult after taking a vision and a written test.

kay. well for one there were a ton more smashfests posted. but honestly the game got old and stale. its like playing mario bros over and over again to see if u can beat the game quicker or rack up the most xp in the process. i jus feel like in the beginning it was so much fun cause the tech skills were new, but now its jus eh. its not even that when i entered my first smashfest after not even playing the game for years that i sucked, it just wasnt fun. i dunno. maybe im getting older?

idk. Using age is a weak John. I'm 24, WTP is like 26(I think), Maestro is 27, Jiffy is 30. Older has nothing to do with it lol. It's just a lost of interest. As for playing smash, I find playing Project Melee gets rid of the stale on this game. I love smash in general...not just brawl/melee/p:m, all of them. If i get bored of Brawl, I play P:M and if I get bored of that, I play melee, so on and so forth. Hell, come to my place. We can play smash, play other games, get drunk, whatever.

i think smash 4 will feel new and special and stuff for a few months (games get "figured out" faster and faster these days) and then you will be right in the same boat you were in before.

What does that have to do with the community sucking though? You stated "this place sux" just because you aren't interested in the game anymore doesn't mean that the game or community sucks. Game got old and stale? When you are losing to me you should realize that you need to put more effort into the game. I see no relation to any type of fighting game to speed running or racking up exp. Each match is different because everyone has their own play style. I feel like you are just saying the game/community sucks is because you are not good and just expected to body people. It's the realization that you actually need to work to get better at something that possibly sets you back as a player. Also incorporating drinking/smoking with brawl helps a ton like drdn posted.

I really do enjoy how you say brawl has no tech skill. It may not have as much as most fighters and it is more about spacing and such but I find that comment ridiculous. Like I said, just because you have 0 to no tech skill in this game doesn't mean it has no tech skill at all. Like I stated earlier in my post, when you start losing to a player like me you are just not good at the game/don't spend enough time learning the tech skills. The game wasn't designed to be competitive, just because it wasn't designed to be doesn't mean it can't be competitive...

tl;dr: you are bad at this game and you shouldn't talk **** about it since you don't know what you are doing.

Brawl has tech skill, but the timing is weird to me. I'll check, but I read a P:M thread where when they were putting their own stuff in, they saw the game had a 2 frame lag in it, but I dn't remember how it was done (like at specific times, random, all the time, etc.) I'll lurk around to see if I can find that.

Also, if Brawl isn't the game for you... Michigan thankfully has probably the most active Melee scenes in the Midwest and hell, you even have a psuedo-national in your own backyard.
