One thing I commonly tell newer Ganon users is to not be afraid to edgeguard. It is one of the most efficient ways for Ganon to make plays, given all of his aerials are able to cover good options offstage, and can kill very easily.

When tech chasing, being ready to cover options with Fsmash is always helpful. The risk/reward heavily favors you if you have any reason to think there will be an inward roll.

Spotdodging isn't that great for Ganon given he doesn't have a lot of quick attacks besides grab that really benefit. Speaking of grabbing, it is always important to try to predict double jumps after Dthrow. Ganon can end a stock very quickly any time he successfully reads an airdodge or double jump.

Thanks for the tips and matches, I surely had fun and learned a lot. First time I ever face a Ganondorf that edgeguard and man that was deadly. I lost so many stocks because of that. I'm always a bit afraid to do it, since I believe people will dodge every attempt and even kill me with some aerials. I'll definitely work on that more. Same goes for flame choke stuff, I have so much troubles teching it that it's ridiculous.

You surprised me quite a few times with dark fists off stage hitting me on stage. I can see that you're trying to unlock the full potential of that move, sometimes even by reading a flame choke get-up with it. If you're interested I could record some matches. This also helps you combo into the second hit if you were using it to armor through a spike or using it as part of an edgeguard frame trap. Don't forget, or you'll let them get away with only 6 damage and a stern warning!

I've taken a liking to Flame Chain in matchups were Choke doesn't have good followups, or facing an opponent with good techrolls. Because it hits so many times per use, it de-stales Ganon's other moves extremely fast, leading to earlier kills.

Good games Opana! I'd heard about you being an aggressive 'Dorf, but I had no idea the hell that awaited me whenever you took advantage. I can see why you enjoy playing Ganon this way. Nothing beats getting to enjoy all the power of Ganon without any of those tedious footsies! Just out of curiosity, why weren't you using customs? Do you prefer his default specials?

Not much I can really give for gameplay advice since you're better than me.

Also, it seems Dark Fists has combo-breaking abilities that we completely glossed over at first glance. It beats everything, literally everything. The only thing with a big enough hitbox to hit the armor safely is... Dark Fists itself. We might want to write an entire guide dedicated solely to Dark Fists.
