I'll definitely play the U.S version for the new characters, but really, compared to MVC2 it's just too basic for me. Now that's not necessarily a bad thing, cause it's not like I was a huge fan of Marvel, but it's widely considered the brawl of 2D fighters I guess. I think the general opinion is that TVC2 will come out and best it in every way like MVC2 did, but who knows, I still think 3rd strike is the best 2d fighter.
Also pretty sure that there are many good players in the area besides Steve H, dunno who still plays though.

yea i kinda remember beating taj my first time ever playing the game, and he had a stick. he wrecked me the next match and was obviously better than me, but the fact that his sandbagging still allowed me to win shows just how sucky he could possibly be.

Lol g-reg I doubt I was sandbagging unless I was trying out a new team or something, you probably did some crazy polymar **** XD Jun and Ryu or Jun and Karas is still my favorite team. Such easy baroque combos with them.....

yea i remember one time azen came over, i won 7 matches in a row off the bat, and he went birdwoman/snake ***** and beat me like 50 straight times or some crazy **** like that. i remember seeing the score in the corner, some astronomical number. jun and her crazy *** kick combos

I remember I almost lost to Azen at the tourney at Chu's, he just played so smart, but then I just picked Jun/Ryu and did that loooong *** assist+baroque reset I came up with (I probably wasn't the first one to do it, but I did figure it out myself)

i personally dont get the hate on tvc, i could see it being not that deep but its not like we've played that **** nearly as much as brawl, which is about as deep as a puddle.

but tvc is amazing because the whole cast is viable for one thing, and another just the gameplay dynamics are just put together for a great gaming experience.
not to mention it is technical for a lot of characters, and the game is not 7 years of learning technique, lets talk about marvel for a moment... everyone who has ever posted on this site sux at marvel, and marvel is way to insane to grasp or to "switch to"

MvC2 should be called Marvel Vs Captain Commando and Strider.......cause almost everyone else on the capcom side is horrible lol. I agree with chillin on that, worst character balance ever.
