I'm going to stronghold again today. Who else is down? (I'm going no matter what cuz all my stream equipment is there-- so I'll be streaming today since all my stuff is there anyways)

Also, congrats to Yakal for winning PM, and grats to BigD for repping BC :p

Are people good with the 22nd? Unless anyone has objections, I'm just going to set up the thread and we'll be confirmed for our next tournament to be on Dec.22nd
If that is a problem for a lot of you, then our other option is to run the tournament on a weekday. Since people will be on holiday, I assume it should be okay for most people, but yeah.

I'm guessing the first account is jacks, followed my mike, and then obviously yourself.

The PH suite is actually directly across the water from Yaletown in False Creek. It's also not the massive open concept balcony that you're thinking of. Our old house in Richmond was the best for running melee tourneys. Sadly, that is gone forever when they sold it for 1.4 mill.

Damn I checked this thread late. I play both now. Going down to WA for some TCG City Championships this weekend.

It's a site I help run. Tons of info on the site + boards.

You can play the TCG online either using the official Pokemon TCG Online program (gotta buy booster codes and stuff) or the unofficial PlayTCG web simulator. You'd go to http://bebesearch.com to set up your deck and then go to http://playtcg.me to use it against others. PTCGO is much more user-friendly but PlayTCG is completely free.

But yeah, Pokemon will be at Apex this year. So go to Apex and enter it as well as Smash ;D

Is the current pokemon format still dominated by Darkrai EX?

I played like one game of Pokemon cube and I first picked Darkrai EX, thing was beyond insane.

cool imma try the playtcg right now im just playing pokemon MMO and it got me interested in the game, I like how there is the IV/EV stats & natures system.

I always thought every pokemon you caught was the same.. but they actually just kept the stat system hidden in the regular games to not confuse 9 year old noobs.

you actually have to manually write down each stat point to know when you've spent 504 total in the regular games.

although for card game it seems fun but in all seriousness if I was actually at APEX I would be insane to not be playing smash the entire time instead.
