Niko retiring from doubles? And just when I thought "team X-mas" was gonna break out all over tristate lol. Oh well, I always got "team port chester". And wait...mikael's back in the picture. That means the reunion of "the team that beat the team that beat cort and spawn". it's gonna be a crazy summer.

Teams is still very important for improvement though.... even if you don't play in tourney you should at least do MMs.

like milos said, we're right next to each other so it's really easy to play with him
but come this summer, as long as you guys are free, I'll be good to play for the whole two months

Idk, I don't notice a huge difference between teams in tourney and friendlies the way I feel it in singles. Singles feels like chess, doubles just feels like which team has played more doubles and also more doubles together. Marth is also really different and more difficult in teams (for both playing marth and teaming with marth). Plus doubles starts too early honestly I could use that extra sleep plus save that money. It always just feels like a waste of money when I lose out in doubles..not the same as singles for whatever reason.
Don't get me wrong I find doubles really fun, and its really good for pushing your creativity and situation reading for sure, but its just not worth waking up 3 hours earlier personally. I enjoy doubles for being fun but I don't have the same desire to win as in singles.
Nikotg and Team X-Mas are too good tho. Except for Marth/Samus, that is the worst team in the game possibly.
imma wait till i get beast in singles before I start worrying about doubles

Now personally, I think in order to have a good Marth on teams, you need to have a teammate who knows you well and will know when to put up there shield in order for you to get those free Fsmashes. I think I know your marth better then anyone, so maybe we should consider talking about this more in the future.
Also, Marth/Samus is trash trash trash... unless said samus has the extender ready.
Are we doing this Pokemon challenge? We need to decide which game we're playing.

Niko honestly, I respect your decision to kinda chill on teams (besides your singles game is ridiculous right now), but the big thing I think would help you be more into teams is a steady and constant team mate. Now granted, Idk if you want that to be me, but I think you should find someone who you feel you click with well and stick that out. It's like choosing a main and holding that down.

I feel like playing a lot of doubles really helps your spacing improve drastically in singles.
Idk I guess your right though about how marth needs to adapt to play in singles. He isnt as versatile as fox/sheik lol.

Yea I agree with Yedi once I'm amazing at singles I'll kind of just automatically be a contender in doubles and then Ill be in better position to adjust more fluidly to having to play a totally different style in teams.
The fact that Marth might actually be more "effective" in teams intrigues me, even if it's so dependant on the teammate.

Niko, I got your text. I'm gonig to think about it, honestly I'm in the same boat as Jesse and I'm not sure I could commit a full day in NJ, but I'm itching for a tourney myself. Why don't you try talking to PC or maybe some of the city kids like (dare I say?) the infamous homie? I'm sure he would love to get a ride from you and neglect you gas $$.
