Textures now possible without ISO Hacking! (File Patch v3.5.1, fixes info.pac problem

Can someone tell me how to add codes in codemanager?? Or how to use it in general??
just click 'codemanager.exe' and then click 'file' in top corner of codemanager, then click 'opentxtfile' find the 1 you want,put checkmarks in the box by clicking the codes you want to use, then click 'file' then export to GCT. put ther GCT into the code folder on your sd card and load brawl with codes usnig gecko,ocarina,usbloaders.....

Ah ok so for modes outside of versus mode the .pac is necessary and of course for the chars you mentioned above. Just wondering cause i was gonna try this out later today and i didn't want my game freezing or anything from having a multiple .pcs/.pac copy within the same folder. And it won't right?
use them both(pcs and pac)for best compatiblity
and you can have whatever you like in the folder as long as its not using a name of the character.pac then your okay to have all the files you want in that folder




What is the file supposed to be named if it's replacing custom stage textures? After spending two hours on google, I'm tired of looking. >.<

ahh i see... there are a few neat stgedit textures out , i like the 1 for the new mario bros pieces , geuss i should posted the edit pieces too, eh

Question - When I try to use the code, the game freezes before it loads (Friend's PAL game). When I use another region of the game (my J-NTSC copy), it plays, but without the textures working - I only have one 512MB memory card, could this be the problem? All other codes play fine.

I have downloaded B+ and I'm just editing the "fighter" file with texture codes.

you must be using a USA codes for the wrong region, thats my geuss

hum the code way huh?? sorry i only know the
easy way is to just put the 'character.pac' in the....
sd:/private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter/'CharacterNameHereFolder'/'character.pac'
and load but now i would like to learn too

Alright I don't get this. Do you replace one of your custom levels with the already created custom levels of stgedit? If so, how do you get the .pac file of the level you created?

I can't get my code manager to save files in gct.
I was able top save them in txt though, but that's not useful. -_-

Also, I have Gecko in the "apps" folder and it wont show up on the homebrew channel...

1. you have to click on the boxes to activate the codes so you can export.


2.um....go to the homebrew browser on the homebrew channel.....go to utilities...go to the Gecko OS one, download it....

I have hit both "1" and "wii menu" and so far I don't see any utilities...

I done all of this but when wii brew in connecting to the server I get this message:
"Retrieving home brew list...
read error- 10076 occurred. retrying...
attempting to connect to server."

then is just repeats and repeats and repeats.....
any advice?

Hey i have a problem. Accidently, i deleted my whole fighter map. So i redownloaded everything. Every texture worked fine except for the pokemon trainer textures. They don't show up anymore. I got the FitPokeTrainerFinal pacs. so i don't know what the problem is. Can someone please help me out?

unless your talking about a package of pokemon then

FitPokeTrainerFinal##.pac
is just the the texture shown when you get the brawl ball and use your finalsmash with those set of pokemon under that trainer used

...so that should change textures when you get the brawl ball and if not then my guess is your code is error'd

I got 3 textures of PokeTrainer. The textures do work, because the trainer on the background did change textures. Just the pokemon themselfs haven't.

A blahblahblahFinal.pac is a final smash texture.


you need separate folders for the pokemon. these separate folders go in the fighter folder.


pokefushigisou (ivysaur)

pokelizardon (charizard)

pokezenigame (squirtle)

and the textures inside are FitPoke(blah blah blah)##.pcs or .pac.


a FitPokeTrainer##.pcs or pac ONLY affects the trainer himself.

Problem with Brawl+ "default textures"

I've been reading most of this thread since a week or so, and yet I did not find a way to fix the problem I've got with textures I've added. What I've been trying to do is to delete all of what I'd call the Brawl+ Default Textures (By that I mean PokeballKirby, TailsFox, LuigiRocket, etc.) to add some textures I've found on Kitty-"Something I don't remember but doesn't matter". I deleted all that was in the fighter folder, put back an empty sonic folder (for my textures are all for sonic) and put all the .pcs and .pac files for the textures in the sonic folder. The thing is, Brawl+ Default textures are still there even when deleted, so I was like "What the crap ? I deleted them, didn't I ?". Not only that, I tried renaming the files to FitSonic01.pcs/pac, FitSonic02.pcs/pac, etc. but it still did not work, and I still had those freaking Default textures and no Brawl Original textures as I wanted...It seems like those Default textures overwrite the custom ones even if I deleted them...

What I actually want is Brawl+ with all Brawl Original textures BUT all Sonic, other than original, with custom textures. The fact that I downloaded the textures and renamed them like said earlier should have made it work, right ? If anyone here knows how to put back the original textures in Brawl+ and still be able to add custom textures, please let me know, for I've lost all my patience at trying to figure it out on my own lol.

BTW, this is my first post, but I've been around for a year without registration.

Anyway, if my question was too specific for the thread, just PM me.

Well you didn't HAVE to use the B+ premade pack for one. Brawl+ doesn't have any default textures (if you deleted everything inside Fighter then you shouldn't even be able to play Brawl+ because you're missing .pacs.).

Two, check your directories. There's no way you can load a texture that isn't there.

pf > fighter > sonic > fitsonic00.pcs/fitsonic00.pac

Unless you took out the SD, removed a texture and added one in its place, inserted the SD in the Wii again and tried to use that same costume. You have to force it to load the costume the texture is on again (I.E. select another costume/character then reselect your costume/character), and the Wii will start clicking to tell you its loaded.

That help any?

Ok now the textures work in battle but the Character Select Portraits are wrong...I get a MetalSonic CSP for Sonic, a Red Sonic CSP for PNazo, a Green Sonic CSP for Nazo, a Super Sonic CSP for Shadow and a Shadow CSP for DarkSonic...

What I meant in the last paragraph is I dont get Brawl's CSPs, nor the Nazo, Dark Sonic, etc. CSPs, but I get the Brawl+ CSPs (FoxTails, MetalSonic, etc. but the battle has all the textures like I wanted).

Any idea how to fix the CSPs then ?

Delete common5.pac ? Where is that thing ? I've never seen such a file...Which directory on the sd card is it ?

All my textures work but 1. I wanted to replace blue Bowser with the "shadow bowser" texture hack. I named it "FitKoopa03". Anyone mind explaining what I did wrong? Or is the hack just bad?

EDIT :

I've deleted that common5.pac. What it did is put the original Brawl CSPs, but is there a way to make a CSP from a .pcs/.pac file ? The thing is, I still have to remember exactly which texture is on which costume and I guess there is not a specific file to download for each combination of textures you put on Brawl+.

If what I wrote above was right, then I'd like to find a way to copy all my .pcs or .pac, whichever I'd have to use, and transform all of them into something like that common5.pac, which had all CSPs I had in Brawl+.

If that is not possible, it's not that bad. I don't use a lot of textures, so I'll make a list of the custom textures only. I now remember most of them anyway.
