Textures now possible without ISO Hacking! (File Patch v3.5.1, fixes info.pac problem

Yes, RSBE = RSBP ;)
So i have to name the Codemanager file RSBP01

AND the folder:

private/wii/app/RSBP/pf/fighter etc...

cause standard it's RSBE there is not standing RSBP IF you have pal. that part is only at the codemanager...

???

Ok, but look at this:

There is no cape. Or at least, i can't see it...

So there must be a way to get rid of it...
umm... well all i know about textures in general(and they might not apply for brawl textures) is that a texture is two files. a color and alpha. the color file has the actual colors in it, while the alpha is just black and white. the alpha tells the game where to apply the textures. the white means apply color here, and the black means no application of color(which is why the white in between the color UV maps doesn't show up). if you can figure out where the cape is on the alpha(maybe) and make the white>black, that would tell the game to not apply color there. if your lucky, you won't get just a gray cape following you around. but that will only work if the cape is a paper thin model.

I now have brawl+ and textures in my game but I just want a regular brawl what do i need to edit? And do i need the codemanager again to make a new file?

Everytime I try to add colour effects to a character, it gets muted >.<
It's probably because of my PAL wii and brawl disc >_>
Any solutions?

It works all fine. but when I lose a stock/die my wii freezes and my GC controller begins te rumble really hard.

Yes what is up? and how can I get the custom music on vbrawl I'm not really a fan of brawl plus and if its on vbrawl do I still need gecko and hombrew on the SD card?

Hey all, not sure where to put this - but I have a brief request.

I'm just looking for TGA files of the three individual Pokemon (standard, regular old Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard). I searched and searched, but I came up with nothing. =/

If nobody wants to bother with this, don't worry about it. Its not a huge deal, though I'd appreciate it if someone could at least point me in the right direction.

I believe this can be fixed by using both the .PCS file AND a .PAC file. .PAC is usually only required for transformation characters, but I have noticed they are required for sound effects too. If you only have a .PCS file and can't find the right .PAC file, you'll have to put up, unless you know how to convert .PCS into .PAC (don't expect me to explain it to you, you need a whole load of software to do so).

Now my wii doesn't freeze anymore... it works fine with char textures. But I can't get the codes for Coloredshields,infine replays and tags in replays. I think I dont understand were to put these codes...

These codes just wont work this way. Or do i have to put the codes somewere else?
And when I add the shieldcolor code to the RSBP01.GCT my wii freezes. but the other codes don't work also...

Ok, I've downloaded Brawl+ and I like it a bunch (Except I have a hard time syncing with other online players), but I also want to play regular Brawl with all my texture hacks, replay longer than 3 minutes (which seemed to come w/ the B+), and the tags in the replays. How do I keep those but get rid of B+ for just that amount of time, and how do I get B+ back after that?
(I'm worried if I don't have B+ that I also won't have the replay hacks...)

I would suggest you buy a new sd card and put the codes you want on it >_>

And then you can simply switch between them ._.

Or if you don't want to buy one, make a folder anywhere on your computer, put your files into it and pick out what you need now. Then just switch between the folders...
So, for example, you might have a Brawl+ folder on your PC with everything you need for it in it. And on your SD card you have the file replacement code and all such things you want for the moment. Then, when you wanna play Brawl+ again, switch the folders back...

I actually like that SD card idea... But the problem is, I have no idea which folders are B+ and which aren't.

All you need to do is take "RSBE01" (or RSBP01, depending on your region) out of the private\codes directory. That's the only Brawl+ file.

Theoretically, you could also just redownload Brawl+...

Or even better, just add in the codes you want to the Brawl+ set. Not to mention, the three codes you said you wanted are actually all already in the Brawl+ codeset, I believe...at least 4.1. 4.1 has "Infinite Replays", "Tags in Replays", and "File Replacement 2.1" all included.

Yes but I want those without the B+. Unless I'm just misunderstanding you.

yes, if you had the text file you could switch between them.

and yes, you need the .pac of characters for them to apply to your opponents.

Are there any picture guides to code manager? Because once I open it I have no idea what anything is :p

Does File Replacement 2.1a allow for the replacement the .pac files (not textures) in the character's folder? Or does only 3.5.1 do that?

yeah.

some character's originals also count as one of their "team" colors.

ex: Sonic

sonic doesn't need the 03 which would usually be blue. Why? cuz he IS blue.

but... then again that isn't the greatest explanation... but believe me, they got it right, i've replaced textures for all of mario and sonic's skins. If you look carefully there are other characters like that, some of them just skip #s...

No, the opponent won't see it unless they have the same textures.
The .pcs is for all characters. and the .pac is only required for transforming ones.

Well I did, but I'm confused about something. I'm trying to download stages at kittycorp, but all the stages are .pac and not .pcs
Why is that?

One more thing. I think I'm getting the two stage things mixed up. Is the stage folder supposed to be named .PAC as well? or is the stage folder supposed to be .pcs?

Edit: "Your texture needs to be named like this: STG[insert name here].pcs" (Is this talking about the folder or texture, or am I just totally missing something?)

5. Make the following directory: private>wii>app>RSBE>pf>stage>melee
those are folders, put the stage texture files you have i.e. STG[stagename].pac into the "melee" folder

so i did everything right i got to the game im playing as wario bear hugger:

fitwario00.pac
fitwario00.pcs

but whenever i go for a z grab it freezes any ideas why?
