Platform drop -> needles -> grab

Learning to wave land onto platforms can be beneficial too if you want to continue chain grabs once people are at high enough %s to DI up onto them.

That's all I really know, but i don't play sheik :p

edit: being able to turn yourself around mid air to set up a bair with a quick needle store cancel is useful no?

Reverse Needle Store (RNS).

Needle Cancel.

"Shino" Stall (aka Up+B stall).

Vanish-hog (Vanish Edgehog).

Plus the 10000x other stuff that everyone has to use (L-cancel, wd, wd oos, etc).

platform gliding is fun. took me a while to get the timing, but it's pretty helpful in my opinion. Just take your tag off or it defeats the purpose

^ he's asking for sheik specific stuff.

unless you're referring to vanish tricks or something, platform dashes and platform wavelands and whatever the hell people call them is used by pretty much every character in the game. it's not sheik exclusive at all.

Yea, I was talking about platform vanish gliding (if that makes sense), not wavelanding. Seibrick talks about it in one of his videos and calls in platform gliding (I think, maybe I got the name mixed up) I'm gonna go check what he called it. I probably used the wrong name

EDIT: here's the video i'm talking about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKUAQTBdFe8 He calls it "platform gliding" at 2:45

It's not completely useless, it's just situational :) Watch the Yoshi's Story part.

It's cool on Yoshi's Story, but vanish edgehog from platform seems more like common sense than anything else.

Oh wellz.

Sure, include it for the hell of it; it's not like Sheik has much to learn anyways.

true true. It's not something you would use more than one or two times in a match, unless you're feeling lucky.

hmm.. sheik "specific" stuff.

boost grab is prolly the best thing she has that no one else really uses.

her ledgestall is among the best

needle storing, and needle cancelling lag of course. learn how to use the edges of platforms to space these.

Isai drop is very useful for sheiks fullhop autocancel aerials onto platforms. Also isai drop after needle cancel is good, falco does this too to triple laser with platforms.

and ummm..... jump cancel chain.....jump with momentum and whip it out quickly while soaring through the air and u will stay grounded. I've been edgeguarding my friends roy like this when i dont have time to get to edge so i dont get burned

I personally like jumping in the air with fully charged needles ... and releasing them on the way down
then follow up with a quick grab :)

something I never see mentioned that I think is important is being able to do multiple ftilts without moving forward.
i hold the stick at an angle forward down where u still crouch and u can ftilt out of it while hopefully cc at the same time.

practice alternating ftilts and dtilts frame perfect without walking (turn off level music, then throw in utilts to make beats :lick:)
