Well I have no idea I got my username from. I just made it up and now I regret it. So I tell people to call me Xace on SWF.

Before I used the tag ~automatic I just entered tournaments by my real name which is Mario. I knew some people that attended tourneys from other places (school, work and other stuff) so I was already known as Mario and had no real need for a tag.

This one time when I was staring out with Pikachu (Nov. '08) I played Phear who was the #5 ranked guy in town at the time. We had some close games and I eventually won in the 3rd game. Later that day we were talking and he said that He didn't know what to do at one point because it seemed that I automatically knew what he would do. Later I played this one Snake main and I ***** him in the 2rd game. Dude said that the chaingrab to aerial combos I got him with seemed too good for a new Pika player (I mained Ness/Yoshi before that) because they seemed to work automatically on his Snake (no DI helps me out lol). I was actually considered good by some people. I considered using automatic as a tag that same day.

At some point that week I saw this niconico vid on youtube
Kumikyoku "Nico Nico Douga" Automatic Mario
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM0ib4GxLPw
That video is too amazing and its name is automatic mario. Mario is my real name.

And that's where my tag came from. Lame right?

I live in Florida.
There is a town in Florida called Holopaw.
I capitalize HOLO to look like "Holographic" letters.
the W is because a W looks like an animal paw and I love animals.
And yeah I read DanGR as danger, too.

DanGR I loved Spirited Away, awesome movie.
and my in-game tag (DRUID) is because I would like to be one. And it's capitalized because I was too lazy to make it Druid.

Guest posting wasn't allowed, so I typed in the first thing I thought of. The B is lowercase to annoy people who can't decide whether they should stick to the rules and capitalize it or leave it uncapitalized.

I always pronounced DanGR "Dan grrrrr."

EDIT: Incidentally, I only just now realized that Dido's name wasn't "Dildo."

Reading through these posts, I just learned a lot about you guys, haha.

And to whoever commented about Spirited Away, yes. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. :)

timssu (my original name): It was an acronym for a username I had used on a bunch of other sites, meaning thisismesoshutup. I figured I'd be looked at as a prime troller or some **** if I kept the full name though, so I shortened it to an acronym. Sadly, nobody knew what it meant, and it looked stupid without the meaning, so I got rid of it.

Barrage (my last username): I liked using a lot of projectile users (and DK), and Barrage just kinda fit them all, so I went with it. I changed it because whenever I saw my name sitting up on one of the discussion boards as the last person who posted, I would always feel as though it wasn't me and would then click on the topic, only to discover that it was, in fact, me. ;-;

Writer: This Is Not A Novel by David Markson. It was wonderful. I absolutely loved it. In fact, I've read it quite a few times, which is something I never do with books. Writer is the name of the "author" of the book, as well as the "main character." I also want to be a writer, and have found that just about every aspect of my life holds some relevance to writing in one way or another. Among all that, I also feel like there's a certain ambiguity about using Writer as a name, nickname, or title as opposed to using it as a description. It may just be me, but whatevs. Anyway, I tend to be rather ambiguous in personality. So yeah...it just fits.

When I was younger like 7 or so. I knew a kid whose last name was Tenant, and my brother got tiberium sun and so I needed a name. Tenant popped in my head, but being at that age i never heard of that word so i spelt it Tennet. I also hate that kid now XD

people used to ask me if it was like short for lieutenant, but nope just a typo.

Well I sort of got my name because I would like to become a medical doctor, and what better way to pay my way though med school but to play brawl. People also in my personal life used to refer to me as the smartest student in school. So i suppose that is how I got my name.

In that ruined tower, atop a mountain.
TemperBlade - My very first online name while playing Monster Hunter (PS2). I made it because I loved to, well, temper new weapons, specifically Greatswords. I later used ForgeBlade as a more... "with buddies only" username so others wouldn't pester me so much.

Smash_Gigas - Pretty much a Smash-only name. It's from a boss in a game called Secret of Mana, my favorite game. There was a Fire Gigas, Frost Gigas, and a Thunder Gigas. I thought I'd come up with a Smash Gigas.

Some people have the tendancy to call me Gigyas.... I've never even played Earth Bound(?) before. Wrong game, fellas.

It comes from my favorite anime character of the first anime I ever watched, Azumanga Dioh, and since she would usually get mad alot I came up with the wrath part.

On the boards I am usually called wrath or Koarin

My name is from my favorite book series, the Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan. A legendary hero by the name of Lews Therin Telamon has the title "The Lord of the Morning". This really caught my imagination because I love images of light and sacred power. Consequently, all the characters I play are the brightest color possible (white Lucario, white Marth, yellow Kirby and Diddy, etc.)

LotM was the shortened version that I gave myself as a brawl tag after seeing Fatmanonice's shortened name, FMOI.

I hate being called LordOfTheMorning and LOTM. DONT MESS MY CAPITOLS UP! And whatever you do, don't call me LOM! (Heartz >_>)

T.S. Eliot is one of my favorite writers, he had a cat named Wiscus......I am so nerdy.
All of my online names have something to do with T.S. Eliot.
....
Now that I think about isn't there an older thread like this?
I also think of DanGR as "Dan grrrrr"

I recall a thread in the Pool Room similar to this one? >_>

Again, mine came from "Omni" which has been my favourite word since a long time ago. "Cron" came from the ending of my favourite letter of the Greek alphabet "Omicron".
Come to think of it... I like Omega more, I must acquire Premium immediately!

I don't call you DanGR at all :)

I made up my name when I was 12, and it's always stuck. And it's pronounced

ING-U-LIT

NOT In-Guilt. NOBODY gets that right (unless they know me; consider it an artificial friend barrier ;P), or the spelling for that matter.

I want an ancient Aboriginal name that's original and unique, and looks awesome.

Or perhaps one from a Latin/Babylonian myth or historical military event.

I've always liked those names.

My name sucks. >___<
