Tournament Details - Host: Gatlin

Type: SWF-Retro Tournament

Date: Sunday, July 15th

Time: 6:00 PM EST (Room open 15 minutes prior)

Rules: Basically, if you have not noticed, many people have started picking up new, better, and faster character mains as of fairly recent. While this is all completely fine and well, I kind of miss the tournaments where everyone went a different character and there was a lot of diversity.

The idea for this tournament would be going back a year in time, and doing a tournament in which you could only choose the character(s) you used to play. Basically if there were a tournament one year ago today, who would you go as?

While for any potential newcomers to the thread who weren't around a year ago and are interested in participating, you get the privilege of picking whoever you want!

Vehicle Choice: Any vehicle is allowed.

Character Choice: Only characters which you used to play as in old tournaments are allowed. I know some of you haven't changed mains at all, which gives you the privilege to continue picking the same character for this tournament!

Transmission: Any transmission is allowed.

Disconnections: In the case of someone disconnecting, it will be dependent on how far we were in the cup to determine the points you receive. If you disconnect on the first race, the room will immediately be closed and I will reopen allowing you access again. If you disconnect 2nd race or later, you will receive 3 points for each race missed (3 points minimum, 9 points maximum).

Duplicate Track Selection: In the case of a track being repicked, the person responsible will be penalized 10 points. It is important to note that if a duplicate track is picked by a random selection, no penalties will be given.

The retro tourney sounds awesome. I'd have to go back to using Dry Bones + Magikruiser, ;p

I'd be fine with either, honestly. I'd put my vote towards the retro tourney first, though.

It'll be okay. It's only fair for him to be able to use Funky since he has used him for as long as he has participated.

Well I haven't changed character mains so it wouldn't hinder me lol
But I miss everyone else's old mains XD

When's the tourney though? Not sure if I can make it if it's weekend. July 14th doesn't work for me either.
