I'm afraid so. Even though Mario Kart 7's Wi-Fi has been updated to remove the shortcut exploits from Wuhu Loop, Maka Wuhu, and GBA Bowser Castle 1, the fact that it's a handheld game is the primary reason for why you see way more Mario Kart Wii tourneys than Mario Kart 7 tourneys. Are people still into the MK Wii over MK7 now these days?
I can do that if everyone else can.Ok can we do 5:00 est? Friday(tomorrow)?
Lol, speak for yourself, cuz I dont think anyone else thinks that way. The reason most of us like MKW > MK7 is because MKW is more rewarding to play. When you pull of shortcuts or glitches, you actually FEEL like you accomplished something as doing things like that are quite difficult. In MK7, everything is just so easy to do, or is just 'shroom over this gap in glider form for shortcut huehuehu'. Also, you dont have to use uber bikes to win, I dont know why you keep bringing that up. The luck factor in the game ALONE makes them viable, but also the fact that not every non Flame Runner is bad means you can win with other stuff like Final said. Sure, its easier to win with better bikes, just like its easier to win with better characters and such in other games, but there are quite a few viable options in this game.I'm afraid so. I've retired from Mario Kart Wii Wi-Fi, so I'm pretty much absent for all Mario Kart Wii tourneys. Besides, it gets quite dull when you have to use the uber bikes, or else you're going to lose.
Because on Random, you don't know what the course will be. I think it be pretty stupid to give someone a penalty when it's not their fault that course was pick, cuz Random could be anything. =PDuplicate Track Selection: In the case of a track being repicked, the person responsible will be penalized 10 points. It is important to note that if a duplicate track is picked by a random selection, no penalties will be given.
Why?
You wanna penalize something you can't control... There's 32 courses in MKWII, it's not that person's fault if that one stage comes up again. Going into this whole "It's your fault because you gave it a chance" is pretty silly and unfair. It is your fault because you gave the duplicate pick a chance to happen when you picked random.

There's nothing wrong with Random in the first place. Some people like to shake things up. :I...you can control it by not picking random #_#

I agree. Even if someone picks random and it happens to pick a track that has been picked already, there is no penalty.Basically what Peachy said. There's a difference between someone intentionally choosing an already-played track, and someone who may not know/remember all tracks previously played and being safe, or someone timing out due to real-life occurrences. It'd be kinda lame to penalize them for something they may not be able to control.![]()
Fixed.Timmy has some really paranoid, crazy, demented, illogical, weird parents.
