Gaming is just the most recent form of media that's been booming a ton recently, so it is the most targeted when it comes to political correctness. I mean, it isn't just gaming. Take movies too for an example, they're often targeted all the time. And they were especially targeted for political correctness back in the day when they were new thing for people. Now pretty much everyone watches movies. Though aspects of them are still targeted to this day.

I REALLY hope it's not alluding to the death of a major character, because apparently lots of people are thinking it is. In particular, I'm once again worried about Simmons. I'm just dreading the use of the "first kiss is the final kiss" trope is all. We know from one promo description of a later upcoming episode that Fitz survives, since it mentions him and Coulson. They're obviously not killing Daisy. I'm just really hoping they don't do what so many are expecting and kill off Simmons to put Fitz through even more trauma...dammit, I just want those two to stay happy for once. They've both been total messes since Ward attempted to drown them.

Alternatively it's something completely different.

Also guys, keep the post quality up. The last page or so was atrocious.

My god, that's just awful. Sounds just like something that can lead to a similar incident that happened with my aunt. The worst part about that was that my entire family was completely unable to find her in weeks because her intermediate family was to stubborn to let her live with them.

You are right about James being a good friend and a leader to us Rayman/Banjo fans. I do pray to the bottom of my heart that the situation gets better for him and we can still have fun on the boards as usual.

To be fair, a ton of attractive characters are comic relief, villains, or beauty is their main character trait. Those options are so far reaching that they dont miss much. And many main characters (at least in books and comics) are at best average looking.
People as a whole are obsessed with beautiful people, though. I'll give you that. It's one of the reasons why people who are not attractive in books are played as attractive or average looking people.

Ugly people are out there. You just gotta belieeeeeeve!

This happened to a former regular of the Rosalina Social Thread a few months ago, too. And it was really distressful to know, especially since I was fond of that particular user. They've disappeared though and we haven't heard from them since. They allegedly aren't coming back to the site either.

I hope James makes it out better and we hear back from him at least.

I mean a big part of why fanservice is so popular is that media doesn't care about ugly people.

It's true.

Think of an ugly person in fiction.

Now answer these questions.

Were they comic relief?
Were they a villain?
Was being ugly part of their main gimmick/character trait?

We just like to talk about/write/create about attractive people because well...

They're attractive.

Indeed.

Fiction and media often exemplifies our desires.

That's why you get strong, toned men and beautiful ladies. Since people fantasize about these things and they are desirable.


Not many actively fantasies or desires to be "ugly", but at the same time you can still use "ugly" themes to enhance your story.

After all, the Hunchback of Notre Dame would not have been as effective without Quasimodo.

Another good thing about a sexually attractive character, is that the attractive body can get people into the character at the start and then they go and actually play the game that character comes from and see that character is interesting and they genuinely like them.

The main reason that got me even remotely interested in trying out Valkyria Chronicles since I love pretty much everything about her design, so I recently bought it on steam. I hear it's a great strategy game, so I am excited to try it out.

It should be noted that she is constantly used for fanservice in official outlets and the artist is a hentai author, by the way.

The main reason I decided to try Pokemon again. Randomly stumbling across a remix of her theme on Youtube with her as the picture, I thought both her design and theme song was cool and was surprised she was a Pokemon character. I played Diamond and then White afterwards.


So I believe wholeheartedly the notion that aethetically pleasing characters, sexual or not, can attract an audience to a game. It makes sense: something attractive will, well, attract.

Honestly don't blame them.

The outrage over Hatred despite it not even being that gruesome of a game was hilarious. The usual suspects who want to police games for "problematic" content ******** about it made the whole scenario even funnier. It was even funnier when you realize that it wasn't the religious right that was the one doing the complaining and trying to make sure this game doesn't exist even though it had the right to.

The only reason the game got notoriety is because of the moral outrage. The developers made a "controversial" game and the media and moral purists fell for the bait, giving it far more attention then it needed. The only reason why people were even resolved to give the game and the developers a shot even though it didn't look that great was because of the onslaught of media attacks against it even though it wasn't the worse thing the industry has put out.


If it wasn't for certain ideologues getting mad at Hatred it would have never even seen the limelight. The free market still worked: people tried it, the game was only mediocre, and that's the end of that. Luckily those who want to tell others what game they can and can't play didn't win out on completely snuffing the game out just because it had content they didn't agree with.
