I had no clue the trailer came out today and I'm unreasonably hyped right now.

The Cap films are easily my favorites from Marvel, with Captain America himself probably being my favorite of the Avengers, so I've been waiting on this one for a while.

DOAX3 doesn't really offer anything other than boobs in volleyball, DoA5 already gives you plenty of enough jiggle and outfits to the point where Xtreme 3 is pointless from a fanservice. So I'm pretty confident to say that the reason it won't get brought here is because how the **** do you market a volleyball game other than "HEY LOOK AT THESE BOOBS YOU CAN STILL GET IN OUR ACTUALLY BETTER GAME".

I do kind of agree that the concept of mutants work better in an isolated environment. It's always weird that a large segment of the public thinks that "oh, you got bombarded by cosmic radiation and can light stuff on fire, let's turn you into a celebrity" while turning around and throwing garbage at the guy who can freeze stuff because he was "born a dirty mutant."

Would still love to see the X-Men integrated into the MCU, though.

I would really like it if they went the route similar to the Secret Wars Civil War comic.

Have the Skrulls (and Baron Zemo because of the movie) be controlling everything behind the scenes that results in Cap dying in the end of the movie (instead of Cap and Iron Man dying like you see in SW CV#5) by setting off the bomb that takes out all of the Skrull super heroes, since everyone thinks this will be his last hurrah until Infinity War part 2.

At least, thats how I hope it will go in some different universe out there

Actually, hell. Analysis of one frame of the Civil War trailer time.

The document says "SOKOVIA ACCORDS FRAMEWORK for the REGISTRATION and DEPLOYMENT of ENHANCED INDIVIDUALS" in bold print. So this isn't just gonna affect the movie characters...the enhanced individuals part of it affects the Inhumans and Secret Warrior team being built in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as the street-level Netflix vigilantes (who will eventually become the Defenders).

Basically the only Marvel things left unaffected are Agent Carter (for obvious reasons) and the Guardians of the Galaxy (also for obvious reasons). This is gonna be big.

I'm wondering that as well, since he lacks the connections that the comic book version of Spidey built over the years leading up to it, it'd be difficult to play him through that same angle even ignoring the registration law. So it's going to be interesting to see where he sides in this without all of that, especially if they hope to balance him out with the other characters that they plan to use.

Why are you guys complaining about DOA when just yesterday we were talking about how the fanservice in FE is bad(which I personally think is small enough to not get in the way of my enjoyment of the game)
DOA is 100% fanservice, the game was made with that in mind, and the volleyball spin off is EVEN WORSE
There is no game, only fanservice(please don't act like anyone would play it for the gameplay), and this was the only way to censor the game, by not releasing it in the west.(I mean, no one would buy it if there was no fanservice, so it's better this way)

There is no current active boycott or outrage against DOAX, so that is not the issue here.


What they are alluding to is that there is now a "culture of fear" when it comes to what mediums can and can't do with creative works in the west prior to in the past, and they said it isn't worth it. If you follow the politics and controversies of the gaming spheres, academic/college campuses, comedy, books, etc then this becomes pretty clear that some things have changed when it comes to adult/"sensitive" content (for better or for worse is up to you). This is also alluded in other mediums, like with South Park tackling into "Political Correctness" and more movements rising up against it. It's starting to become a topic not only in gaming but in other areas as well, and with these controversies becoming more common the developers are saying that they want no participation in that discussion and subsequently pulled out.

Whether you believe that or not is obviously up to you personally, but do note that there wasn't a boycott or outrage prior in particular, but that simpler terms the market may have changed and is much likelier to trigger controversies instead of before. On the flipside, it should also be noted that handheld DOAX (Paradise I think?) was received pretty poorly in comparison to the rest of the series.

This isn't the first time they have talked about this either or a random occurrence: during an interview with Team Ninja on the venturebeat they talked about this exact same issue, during the times of the DOA5 constumes and their own thoughts on "gender representation" and that they are closely paying attention to it. So if it's seen as just an excuse then it was an excuse a year in the making, and wasn't just cooked up on the spot. Don't forget, Tecmo Koei was put on the spotlight for Cia (never understood this controversy) despite there being no real issue and the cast of characters being "diverse" and was put on the spotlight for DOA5 optional downloadable costumes.


Complete speculation, but I feel that in this day and age, considering some of the controversies in the past on other media forms for their "content" I can totally see DOAX3 being up to bat this time around for the old blogger outrage machine had it been released from the usual suspects. Obviously we won't be able to see if that's the case now, since you will have to import it if you want it.
