I'd argue otherwise.

Ganon's just easier to find out how to play against, if you don't know the Link matchup it can be really, really hard to "just wing it".

Knowing the Ganon matchup and knowing the Link matchup, playing against and as both characters, I've felt Ganon is better.

Fighting Ganon's always gives me more issues then Link - and I know both matchups. I'm not just talking when I'm Snake either. Hell, Ganon gives my Sheik more issues then Link. And I have a 95-5 on Ganon.

This is my viewpoint on the tier list. Obviously it's 1 guy and it's going to be biased.

I think zss is better than lucario. At least all her mains aren't leaving her xD

Lucario just lacks rep, and IMO is right where he should be.

Also I just don't think Sheik is better then Zamus, hence being behind her... but I def. do think she has the tools to be almost as good as Zamus.

at the highest level of play, all Ganon has to feasibly do is knock link a little off the stage that he has to use up B/Tether and he's down a stock.

a good ganon ***** linear/predictable recoveries. It doesn't even take multiple tipmans to beat link.
I'm purposely ignoring projectile spam because Link's is mediocre, but **** do they give Ganon trouble.


However... That's not what this is about.

Tiers are based on the character's overall matchups, as in theoretical position, and recent tournament placings.

Ganon has several "impossible" and more incredibly hard matchups, therefore Link is an overall better character when their standings towards the rest of the cast is brought up

I think a lot of the mains underrate him for some matchups, but it is true that Link doesn't have a 95-5 or a 100-0... but I still don't think that makes you auto-worst.
