I actually sort of imagine Bowser having a strange friendship with the Robins (especially , for some reason) because of being the few parents in SSB. I could even see him being tricked into babysitting the Morgans (and any other kids either Robin might have depending on who they marry) for a bit.

Assuming the Robins' spouses are the same as the ones you went with, and I married to Chrom on my first save and is one of my top candidates for marrying on my current playthrough... That would lead to an interesting conversation.

*Each fighter is given their own room, but the alts share a room with whoever they're an alt for.
*Alts are more or less understudies. If the main fighter is under the weather or can't fight, they step in. They're still treated respectfully and like normal fighters, though.
*As hinted at before, assist trophies and characters who are a part of FSes don't actually live where SSB takes place, but are called upon one way or another when needed.
*There is a huge garden where all the Pokéball Pokémon live. However, it grew chaotic with the legendaries sometimes. Now the legendaries remain where they normally are and are summoned via Master Ball instead. However, the portals that the Pokéballs draw from sometimes get crossed, hence why they can still be in normal Pokéballs (or Goldeen can apparently be a Master Ball?).

Not only do all of the fighters live there, but the assist trophies, final smashes, and stage hazards all live in the city as well. Additionally, any one of the fighters can invite people from their universe to watch the tournament and live in the city. Since the Smash universe isn't bound by the laws of space-time, pretty much everyone who gets an invite comes to watch. When they return to their universes, only a few minutes have passed. They make up the audience that you hear cheering for the matches, and see in a few different stages.

Since I headcanon as Lucina's mom- rather than Robin being the embarrassing mother type, it's the other way around. Lucina can sometimes get overly enthusiastic about her mother (and to a lesser extent, her father) being with her in SSB. She's constantly spending time with her and telling her all about what she learns from the other fighters so can help strategize. While the two don't mind fighting against each other, they prefer to team up. has also tried to gift (and some of the other fighters) alternate costumes before, but, well, if you know her taste in clothes from her support with her mother... Most generally don't see use in fighting. Finally, since seems closer to Chrom than her mother in the original game, I like to think that SSB has finally given them the chance to get a little closer while now Chrom has more of a chance to get closer to Morgan.

Okay, non-FE:A headcanons:
* and run mandatory fitness classes for the fighters. While is a major softie and generally lets his students do as they please, can get a bit drill-sergeant-like at times.
*,, and formed a bit of a trio in the original SSB and are still very, very close.
*Most of the SSE friendships are still close. sometimes practices with and , often checks in on when he's not treating patients, still shows her softer side to , sometimes plays with , often gently ribs on , and still sometimes brags about "saving" the day. (It's been a while since I played SSE, so I know I'm forgetting a lot) still apologizes to for what he did, but feels no remorse and still sometimes tries to get on 's nerves. has to restrain himself from getting angry at him, but just generally ignores him.
* was buffed in SSB4 because in Brawl, he was weakened from dealing with Tabuu and was worried that showing his true power might attract the wrong attention, leading to the extermination of the other s remaining. Now that the big threat is gone, he no longer needs to hold back.

Also, Fox and Falco totally experimented back in school. Falco developed feelings for Fox that Fox never returned, and even though they both moved on from that, that's partially why he's such a jerk, but never fully leaves the team.

Wolf is upset about being cut and is plotting revenge with Snake.

Little Mac was hanging out with the Ice Climbers when he and the pair got their Smash invitation letter. Little Mac was shocked to find he wasn't invited as an AT, but as a full character and loudly exclaimed. "Hey you two! We can finally duke it out together in the tournament!" This caused Popo to run off in tears, leaving a very confused Little Mac. Nana just tossed the letter on the ground and walked off. When Little Mac saw that the letter was just asking Nana and Popo to pass a message to Polar Bear to be a Smash Run enemy, Little Mac felt like a jerk.

Despite the fact that I like to deviate from the Smash Mansion/City setting, I'm still gonna expand on this.

• invited the rest of the 8 villagers (including his girlfriend, ) and all the animals who've ever taken residence in his town. Space became very complicated though, so he had to opt for the 10 animals currently living in Smashville.
• invited his animal friends, Rick, Coo, Kine, Chuchu, Pitch, and Nago, as well as Adeline and Ribbon. brought along his entire Waddle Dee Army, along with Bandana Dee who he relegated to the sidelines despite his constant pleas for joining the battle. , looking to challenge each of the fighters on his own accord, didn't inform the Meta Knights about the invitations going around.
• brought all her Centuarions to tend to her and during the festivities. came in as a rough as soon as he found out his better half was participating.
• , gestured from being rescued by , and his crew of Britanny & Charlie, brought his family, Louie, and the President down to partake in the event. For they saw it as a reconnaissance mission under the guise of being VIP.
• , being the nuisance that he is, managed to have the Wild Gunmen and The Hunter chase him down constantly into the event. As soon as they arrived, the gunmen were astonished with the sudden realization of more characters, and ensued target practice.

• invited all his former challengers of the W.V.B.A., tantilizing them with the offer of beating him to the Smash Brothers World Champion belt. Glass Joe bailed out after K.O.'ed him at 20%. Doc Louis stole's bike in order to catch up with .

Tiki, making flirtatious advances on after grieving over his passing, made Chrom assume got Tiki to cheat on him and provoked a war. refused to sympathize with either side and joined the war to uphold his legacy. In a twist of events, it was later revealed that Tiki actually mistook for .

Expanding on your expansion of my headcanon:
(Well, really I'm just expanding on my headcanon. I had to go to class so I needed to wrap it up, but I hadn't finished all my thoughts.)

• has taken Jeff Andonuts in as an inventor/engineer apprentice. As two of the very small number of Brits in Smash City, their conversations sound something like this to the rest of the people there. Except... Ya know. Not about sex.
  
• Doc Louis and Gaius have had a rivalry ever since Gaius stole Doc's chocolate.
• Vodka Drunkenski Soda Popinski and Gregor often hit the bars in town together. Soda Popinski assumes Gregor is Russian because of his accent and tries to talk to him about "the old country."

I have a particularly different view of Robin and Lucina. Instead of being a couple, he thinks of her as his own child, due to being around her most of his life, both the future Lucina who travels back in time and fights with them, and the current young Lucina. He also feels he owes it to Chrom to keep his daughter safe. He's still a giant bookworm and can get lost in a text for days, but he always checks up on her every so often when he comes back to reality.

I also like to believe Palutena and Rosalina are good friends and rivals, due to both of them being rather omnipotent. Palutena loves the lumas like her own after she lost most of her centurions to Medusa, and Rosalina enjoys the smile they bring to her face. They're both terrors on the battlefield though, especially if they're facing one another.

Okay, here I go.
Smash Bros. is a sport, and all the Fighters, Assists, Pokemon, and non-SSE-specific Bosses fight for the amusement of trillions of fans throughout the gaming worlds, as well as our own world.
The Master Hand and Crazy Hand are brothers, and they are the two biggest links to the world of Smash Bros., where trophies fight, and the world beyond, AKA our world. They have the power to merge any gaming world they want with their own, and they challenge powerful fighters whom have claimed many victories.
When a character is defeated, they turn into a trophy of themselves, and a simple touch to the base of the trophy can revive them instantly, as shown in Brawl's adventure mode. There is generally a code of honor in place, because when a match is over, the winner(s) must revive the loser(s). However, Tabbu broke this rule, because he wanted to have all of the realm of Smash in his own Subspace.
Miis serve a higher purpose, and exist to serve as avatars for humans from our world. However, some Miis are traitorous, and have managed to escape their human lookalikes' wills, with help from the Master Hand. In return, these Miis, known as the Fighting Mii Team, attack any opponents who come close, including fighters and any Miis that haven't turned. They patrol on and around Battlefield whenever the Master Hand tells them to.

Because I f***ing hate the Smash Mansion concept (seriously, it's overused as f***), my headcanon will be like this:
Master Hand is the god of the World of Trophies. He organizes tournaments with participants from all over different parts of the Nintendo multiverse connected to it, later also connecting with the SEGA, Capcom, Konami and Namco universes.

This tournament promises power and treasure to their winners, however unknown to them they're actually being trained. Master Hand knows well his god status doesn't equivalent invincibility; he knows well there are menaces like his brother Crazy Hand, Tabuu or even himself as the Master Core, a dark manifestation of all negative and destructive emotions, to a worse level than Crazy Hand, that he takes involuntary.

Master Hand gets each character dragged into these events, and each has a motive to participate:

• the Mushroom Kingdom has been under strange attacks lately, not wanting to simply do nothing, Mario goes to find the source.
  
• was pretty much dragged by Mario.
  
• was notified by a Toad of a big danger coming. Mario however wasn't available due to a kart/golf/whatever tournament, so she said "Why not going myself?"
  
• wants to prepare for his next attack to the Mushroom Kingdom, mostly to defeat Mario, so he goes off to find opponents to beat.
  
• is worried about some new viruses that he has never seen before. Thinking he would find a cure for them, he enters to see if someone helps him.
  
• sensed disturbance in many places of time-space. She decided to investigate.
  
• wants to impress his dad, so he goes to get stronger and help him defeat Mario.
  
• is from Yoshi's Island era. He lost Baby Mario, and tries to find him.
  
• heard of a great tresure going for the tournament winner, so he goes to take it.
  
• his bananas were stolen (again), he goes against the culprits.
  
• pretty much the same as DK.
  
• thinks a new chaos is rising. Pulling the Master Sword once again, he decides to confront it.
  
• is post TP. Hearing of a new threat for her kingdom and with the abscence of the hero that recently saved Hyrule, she decides to go by herself.
  
• is OoT Zelda, knowing the Hero of Time will awake soon, she goes to prepare to fight along him.
  
• being free from the sages imprisonment, desires more power. He enters as he thinks he'll gain more and prove the world how much of a menace he is.
  
• determined to save Termina, he thinks this is some kind of trial and goes to get a new mask that'll help him.
  
• is told by the King of Red Lions to get stronger before finding the Triforce of Courage parts, he enters so.
  
• was hired by the Galactic Federation to investigate a new source of power that was gathering different fighters.
  
• is like the above, only the Power Suit was damaged but she was provided with jet heels.
  
• is hungry, thinking the winner reward is maybe food, he goes to participate.
  
• goes to investigate, trying to find what has been causing disasters recently in Dream Land.
  
• was intrigued over disasters happenning in Dream Land. He decided to find the source and smack him.
  
• received an alarm and is told by General Pepper to investigate a new gathering of powerful warriors.
