I think Mex is talking more along the lines of Falco's significance to the series, but I agree with your sentiment on him being more of a clone than Wolf any day.


And I actually dislike ROB's inclusion in Brawl a lot, but even I can't deny his historical significance to the Nintendo brand.

I was ok with the idea of R.O.B. in Smash because it made more sense than him in Mario Kart DS.

Wolf's hardly a clone at all. The only move that functions similarly to Fox is the reflector; all the others have VERY different effects, aesthetically and in functionality.

R.O.B. honestly has to be one of the most bland looking characters ever. specials are boring, normals are boring. Only interesting thing I see him to is his U-thow, and that's because he pile abysmally pile drives your ****. Then again Kirby and Meta Knight do it better. Then again, Brawl is pretty boring.

R.O.B. was a toy. Nothing more than a toy.

Sakurai being the genius he is? Gave him a major role in the story of SSE, and a unique moveset to boot. No one plays or looks like R.O.B. but R.O.B.

And considering his Nintendo history and what he did for the company. He DESERVES to be in the roster.

I definitely had my issues with R.O.B. when he was revealed to be true, but as soon as I got my hands on him? I was in love.

Definitely one of Sakurai's best moments in roster making IMO.

Ah, who am I kidding. ROSTER social thread. Anyways, ROB. EPF, don't be a doo-doo head. ROB is a toy with some serious clout. While he may be a lame (albeit unique) character, he does represent a bygone era of Nintendo that shouldn't be forgotten. It's not like he doesn't have a place with the likes of Mario; if anything, he should be rubbing shoulders with the mustached hero in that iconic sense.

Been working on some stuff for that Roster maker. Making a Quest 64-based one. I may have too many Monsters, and I'm thinking about combining some. Like the Rose Knights and Wyverns, but who knows?

It also is probably the best one to use for people to make really unique rosters.

I'm just talking about the 2 interviews where, I believe, Miyamoto is asked about the future of F-Zero and Nintendo is all like: There isn't going to be a sequel unless we ever have a new idea for the series to advance

Falcon is Sakurai's favorite Smash character. He ain't leaving.

F-Zero being irrelevant doesn't matter. He still reps the series, which was a big one for Nintendo.

Also, Ice Climbers and Pokemon Trainer aren't completely safe either.

Outside of Ice Climbers at best, I don't see any character leaving that reps a single series(by themselves), well, not counting third parties either. Sonic is probably safe, but Snake isn't entirely.

lol well yes the way the current generation uses it is stupid, but it essentially means how you carry yourself, your walk, your talk, your personality, your swagger.

Falcon getting removed is suicidal. He is one of the most quoted and famous characters in Smash Bros., has arguably the best and most iconic taunt in the game. All of his moves were of Sakurai's original creation too for when the game wasn't smash. Besides, who doesn't love Captain Falcon? Seriously?

Pikmin are pretty tiny. But it is a good sign that he probably fixed the issue. Although Olimar only has Wii U screens, notably.

While I still wouldn't entirely say Pokemon Trainer has a decent chance to return, he does look a lot higher. I think it depends whether Ice Climbers are confirmed early on or not. If they're one of the last ones(of the Starters)... then PT might not make it. Then again, I'd rather have Mewtwo and some other Gen rep instead. Gen 1 is fine with PT, and if anything, it could be a more generic class with Charizard, and a Gen 2 and 3 Pokemon.

G&W is pretty unique and he stands out from the crowd, so there's not much to worry about. I can't believe there was that rumor that said he would be cut in Brawl.
