I actually liked Sonic Heroes, but it seems like not many people will agree on that.
I actually liked that game. It's not as bad as some say.

Also, the GCN version was the best version graphically speaking and had faster load times too. (At least compared to the PS2 version... can't say anything about the Xbox version.)

The worst game I have played has to be Action 52. I tried all 52 games (well, 50 since two of the games crash the game when selected). I hated myself after I was done (thankfully I was just playing a ROM).

I also tried two of the Unholy Triforce games (couldn't get Zelda's Adventure to work on the emulator). I gave up in 5 minutes each.

From what I understand, only the PS2 version suffers from the loading times and choppy frame rate. The other versions are fine. Then again I've only touched the Gamecube and PS2 versions, so I wouldn't know from experience.

Sonic heroes was a good attempt to try to bring the classic formula (2 zones and a boss. Chaos emeralds found in special stages. Etc.) into 3D. It just got too repetitive.

I kinda like Sonic Heroes as well. It was a nice twist on the Sonic series. Me and my sister have so many inside jokes playing that game together...

I've played a few bad games, but a game that I have that I think is pretty bad is Universal Studios Theme Parks Adventure. Kinda boring...and I found the trivia section hard as a kid... Like seriously, I've replayed the game, and I can get most of the questions now.

The DeLorean needs 1.21 gigawatts of electricity to travel through time!

Honestly, if I have EVER played a bad game, I don't remember any of it. Bad things are very forgettable to me.

Sonic Heroes is honestly better than me than SA2
I actually really liked SA2, despite its flaws it's probably my favorite Sonic game (of the few I've played Sonic 1, SA1, SA2, Heroes, Shadow, and Generations).

Chao Garden was addicting, and getting together with friends to do the Battle mode on GCN was a blast, as well as doing Speedruns of the good levels.

I hated Heroes. I disliked the partner gimmick and the story. I also disliked the Art-style and Music in it. Same for the level design, that first Whale level never sat well with me.

EDIT: it was even worse in Generations.

My man, you haven't played the Sonic GOATs yet, though? Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 and Knuckles?

Those are where it's at for the Sonic experience

My favorite is Sonic's Adventure 1, just for nostalgia. Other than that, Generations and Sonic and Knuckles (Also for Nostalgia)

Nope, not yet. They're on my backlog though.

Playing Sonic 1 burned me out with the classic Sonic experience. That one water maze was ****ing Hell on Earth.

You're lucky then. For me, I remember all those bad games I've played...especially as a kid. I guess bad things aren't forgettable for me...

Well, actually, that's not true. I've chosen to forgive and forget bad people...I can't bear to hold a grudge at the end of the day :/ It's a lot of negative energy, y'know. I hope I'm not sounding too hippy trippy lol

I played tons of crappy games as a kid. I was much less discerning with my game purchases and ended up getting a sh*tload of crappy licensed games. In fact, IIRC the first game I ever got was a crappy licensed game for the GBC.

If I ever played a bad game as a kid, I probably look back on it with nostalgia goggles.

Games I had were: Boy and his Blob, Gauntlet, the Mofat conspiracy, contra (For a short period of time, I believe it was actually borrowed), super mario bros 2 and 3 (Not 1 though), Battle toads

That's all I remember from the NES

Edit: Bartman too

Nah, I'm the same way with people. There's no point in holding a grude. You just end up hurting yourself in the long run.

I'll never forgive a bad game though... Hahahaha

Only really bad games off the top of my head that I own would be Gyromite and Mega Man X7. I only own Gyromite since it came with a Pin Adaptor. I actually bought X7 about 5 years ago and I have yet to even pop it into my PS2.

[collapse=Sonic Nostalgia]Sonic 1 is probably my favorite, it's certainly the game that I play the most. I have it on my Genesis, PC, Wii, PS3 x2, and on my Ipod Nano (). It's probably the only game that I'm any good at.

Beat Sonic 2 the other month without using the save states my PC version offers. Definitely is tied with Sonic 1 for me at the moment, would beat it out for me but I hate the Special Stages, also Chemical Plant Zone kicks ass in so many ways.

Didn't like Sonic CD at first but it quickly grew on me. Was a tad too short though, and except for Metal Sonic it was pretty easy overall. I personally prefer the Japanese OST, which I got off iTunes.

Never really liked Sonic 3 or Knuckles. The difficulty seems to spike in those games, never really liked the extra long levels, the special stages give me migraines and just aren't very fun IMO. Music was okay, didn't really like that each Act had it's own little version of it though, I also hate Carnival Night Zone to no end.

Have only played Sonic 1 of the Master System games, though I'm planning on using the VC to get the rest. Honestly Sonic 1 MS gives Sonic 1 a run for it's money in terms of music, platforming, and no annoying special stages. Also played Triple Trouble, didn't really care for it but it's a good way to pass the time.

Didn't really care for either SA or SA2. All the different gameplay styles just weren't very fun IMO, I'd rather just play as Sonic/Shadow. Didn't care for the overworld that SA had, and I felt some of the SA2 level design was questionable. I also felt that the game lacked a lot of the charm the Genesis games had and the new direction for the Music with Crush 40, while often good, it just felt like the series was moving away from it's cartoon roots. Would give SA the edge because it didn't frustrate me as much, the Sonic stages I felt were also better than it's predecessor.

Bought Sonic Heroes last month, haven't really found any real issues with it off the top of my head. Don't really like the return of the Special stages though.

Sonic Colors was amazing period. Only problem I have with it is the inconsistent difficulty and boss rehashes.

Sonic Generations is probably my favorite of the 3D games, it honestly was the game that got me into the Sonic series beyond Sonic 1. I actually bought the 3DS version first (great game, is way too short, most reviews for it don't do it justice only really fair one I've seen was IGNs) before I bought the console version. Last November I went and imported the OST, one of the best uses of money I've have ever spent.[/collapse]

I own gyromite and I enjoyed it

It's got nice music and I like the little enemy sprites

Edit: I didn't include it in my nostalgia NES list because I didn't get the game until later on, sometime during the N64's life I believe

I loved Sonic Heroes! Sure it was repetitive at certain segments (which is a common complaint i hear from people), but heck even good games like Bioshock Infinite are repetitive at some parts as well so you can't fault for that.

If any game is trash however, it would definitely be Prototype 1 & 2 and that new Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game.

That is nothing new. There was even people thinking that the NES and SNES were going to fail. Its just escalated since the Nintendo 64 due to Nintendo no longer being the market leader and Sega dropping out the hardware market.
True, but it was widely stated by many people that the DS would fail due to consumers not being used to touch screens and dual screen. The same is happening with the Wii U right now. Many people say that it is to hard to try and focus on the controller and the TV. People haven't just had time to adapt to it yet. The Wii faced the most comments about it failing. People said that games were not ready to move onto motion controls, but the Wii became a success.

I'm pretty sure the Wii U is not doing well because titles are kind of scarce, the dip****s are thinking it's another Wii, and it's a tad expensive.

The arguments against the DS and Wii were more about the weakness of their hardware relative to the competition at the time. They did not really focus on the unique attributes of those systems as a way to eat into them (though they did say motion controls had much less of a pull than HD graphics would).

For the Wii U, its performing more weakly than the DS and Wii did when they started out. We shall see where the Wii U ends up, but I feel very confident that the Wii U will definitely not sell as much as the Wii did. Nintendo's aim will be to have both Mario Kart and a new 3D Mario out this holiday season, so if there is any shot of turning around the system, it will be then.

As I said before, I expect a contraction to afflict the PS4 and 360 successor as well. This is not solely Nintendo's problem. I do think the PS4 and 360 successor will do better in their first several months than the Wii U did solely due a hardcore contingent that worships graphics and latest hardware above all else. However, overall I don't expect those consoles to sell as well as the PS3 and 360 did (PS3 was already a big step down from the PS2 in terms of sales).

If the Wii U continues to have anemic sales after the 2013 holiday season, I feel the system will continue to have a bleak future throughout its entire lifespan.

I loved the **** out of Sonic Heroes' art style, in all honesty

I just loved how vibrant and cartoony it was, especially in comparison to SA2

As someone else here pointed us, I feel like in a lot of ways, Sonic Heroes was more than successful enough in recapturing the feel of the 2D Sonic games in a 3D environment, and that's one of the reasons why I love that game

Although I like Live and Learn a bit more, I've always loved the Sonic Heroes theme as a kid. I remember I always used to sing that song to my friends when I was younger. Embarrass

That reminds me of how I wasn't the biggest fan of Endless Possiblities in Unleashed, but the orchestrated version was so much better. I remember preferring the orchestrated version of His World as well over its vocal counterpart.

I remember getting a demo bonus disk with my copy of Mario Kart: Double Dash and on it, it had this game on it. I played that demo like everyday day until the game came out. I loved the Power Plant and the Casino level music they always were stuck in my head.

And the final metal sonic dragon boss was so sick too. Good times.

Yeah, I love Casino Park as well...and Frog Forest, Hang Castle, and Mystic Mansion are the most memorable songs for me... damn, now I feel like listening to the whole soundtrack. =P

Every generation until now I've been naming my main character after their canonical name, but starting next gen I'm going to be using the names I usually name characters in games.

You know what I don't get? Why is it that a light character like Fox has a fast falling speed?
