My contribution to this is that arranged marriages tend to be much more successful if you didn't know the person before hand as opposed to growing up with them. The theory behind this is that, if you grow up with the person who you're going to be forced to marry, they feel like siblings and it just gets too incestual for comfort.

If say Bridge of Eldin, for example, was playable in Melee and was 1/5th the size, it could definitely be tournament legal. Probably not a tournament stage, but legal nonetheless. In Brawl, however, with all kinds of stupid problems related to grabs, it would definitely still be banned. Plus, like you mentioned, camping and stalling tactics being prominent strategies hurts, especially since camping and stalling is such a huge part of the Brawl competitively.

Yeah, it goes with Darwinist theory. Our genes actually affect the way we think, many people don't realize it, but it's actually a constant debate in psychology, gene vs. meme.

Truthfully we seek partners who fall within our genetic ideal, it's curious how those people usually tend to be those who also have the best emotional connection with us. You know, that 'spark.' It's a mixture of genetic and psychological compatibility. In other words, what's commonly described as chemistry. A lasting relationship happens if you find someone who is truly compatible with you.

Oh, and by compatible I don't mean interests or similar personalities. Actually, contrasting personalities work best as long as the differences aren't too radical. In a way, your strengths have to fill their weaknesses and vice versa.

Yeah, reading stuff from Japan on the subject is far from the truth on a lot of things, especially how to get stronger or win fights (do bullcrap martial arts and stuff, which is why Japan can't produce decent mixed martial artists without them leaving Japan).

Attraction is based on the need to reproduce, and quite frankly, all males and females have some level of reproductive-based attraction because our instincts want us to reproduce in order for our species to survive. And as for the idea of sexual activity with a sister is usually a thing in such fantasy-based porn, normally those type of things in porn and especially IRL are of course with non-biological siblings, which is of course physically normal.

And yeah, my sister is fairly attractive. Tall, strong, athletic, and somewhat smart (?), but nah, that is just gross. Once I think of it in that way, all I see is nasty is errors with her, and I'm talking purely physical.

I'm saying what if it could be proven if camping the edge or working for the chain off the stage was actually very counterable, could they be legal then? I know items play supporters have proof of it fixing problems but many stage theorists did testing that might be able to prove such a notion but it was ignored.

I guess, maybe a lit of all walk off stages is needed to look at which might have the best chance of being legalized somehow when looking at this. I know there is an argument that walk off stages don't test the skills we are wanting to test in smash which might be brought up, but there's such a sizeable portion of stages with these should it really be considered a gimmick like many say it is?

We seek potential reproductive partners who are drastically different and are fertile so our children will have the best and most diverse genes possible (to help prevent disease and illness), the best protector/producer (milk from the mother, strength and wisdom from the father), and who are the most physically appealing (because, again, that means the child will likewise follow suit).

Going against that past a certain level is just wrong IMO (leads to incest and of course messed up kids), but totally sticking to that in regards to reproduction makes you an animal (that just makes you act like an uncivilized fool, which is actually really bad for you kids).

Again, we just need a good and tournament viable stage. For moving stages we got Rainbow Cruise, Mute City, Delfino Plaza, and Battleship Haleberd. We don't have that; all the moving stages are either too big or you essentially fight the stage, which of course prevents it from being tournament legal at any non-super casual tournament.

However, there are a lot of other psychological factors and variations that apply as well. After all, gene vs. meme, lets not forget the role society plays in all this. The fact that it's a social taboo also plays a big role in how we perceive such in act, it's why many gay people are still in the closet or refuse to accept their sexual preferences, because we also seek social acceptance.

The psychological part of "being similar" in personality is interesting; with the girls I have dated and the one I am going out with, there are certainly of course some personality similarities among girls. That is common, and quite frankly, it doesn't bug me. Maybe it would if they were a mental copy of my sibling it would bug me.

(btw, my sister is dating this guy who is the same age, height, weight, and has generally the same personality as my brother. Everyone I mention it to agrees with me that it is creepy. They both are even going into the same major, and both of them dislike Brawl and preferring Melee for the same reason, despite my sister's boyfriend not being a competitive player and him not knowing my brother and I play competitive Melee [we tried to lure him to Project M]).

The whole physical thing where they look like me and have similar ancestry is really weird to me. Everything else I largely dismiss.

However, I do understand why one sibling would be attracted to another if they didn't know they were related, especially since there are a lot of people who are mixed racially, and don't look too alike. For example, I have predominately brown hair with some red mixed in and I'm very tan, whereas my younger brother has dirty blonde hair and is really pale.

I've been on hundreds, actually. I was on one what=??? Just Monday. Being smart, educated, and intelligent (including psychologically) actually is what initially put my foot in the door in order to get my girl.

I thought for a while Halberd and Delfino Plaza WERE legal for a very long time. I've seen some TOs still use them as counterpicks even today. Rainbow Cruise once was as well, but I know that one was always a tad controvercial. I know Port Town Aero Dive was argued for and was legal in some regions for a while too.

I think I need to actually look at all the walk off stages and see if any could even fall under some grey area some of the moving stages did.

The only thing stage bans should ever be decided on is randomness and Matchup bias, if there's a mechanic that lets the stage still be relatively playable for the vast majority and is not random, then there you go, in my opinion, that's legal as hell.
