It's more about the gameplay then it is the number of games, f-zero is a racing game, and starfox pre-smash was a rail shooter (right?) in vehicles (now I've got no clue what it is)
mario was a platformer, which is why toad has been shown different abilities (even in wario woods he could be seen throwing bombs)
I deal with an absurd number of them on my campus and the Anime Club here might as well be called Spaghetti Anonymous because of them. Bronies can be really annoying too but at least they produce cool music and fanmade animations. The Kingdom Hearts fanbase is pretty insufferable too if only because they insist that absolutely everybody in the series from Winnie the Pooh to Tron is secretly gay for each other.

Or Miyamoto's new game. (I hope it isn't another Wii Music type game) That would suck ****.
It's more of a wasted opportunity, than an issue. They released a year earlier to hopefully get the leg up on the competition with an established fan base. But that approach in a way backfired on them, when people opted to wait for more games. Though I will say, If the Wii U released around this time, it would of had a sick line up better than it's competition (ZombiU could of been better given the extra time).; but it would also be challenge competing with both PS4 and XB1. Yeah the wait for Pikmin 3 is unbearable for me.
Well in order for a game to be 2nd it must be:
Independently-owned studios who take development contracts from the platform holders and what they produce will usually be exclusive to that platform.
A studio who are partially or wholly owned by the platform holder (also known as a subsidiary) and what they produce will usually be exclusive to that platform.
Seeing how Nintendo is helping out with Lost World and owns the rights to the Mario Characters in Mario and Sonic Olympic games 2 of those 3 games are 2nd party since Nintendo is involved to some degree. GTA V, Street Fighter 4: Ultra would be amazing! Also MGS V not coming to the Wii U is the reason why I don't think Snake deserves to come back to Smash4.
I'm not too sure about Miyamoto's new IP. Given that it's been since like Wii Sports he made a good IP and Pikmin since he made a great one, I'm not to sure about it. Plus, he helped make Sticker Star the worst Mario RPG yet, which was not an easy accomplishment. Let's wait and see before we call it a "console selling game."
As for the WiiU release date, like Microsoft with the Xbox 360, they mostly blew the opportunity. Still, they have more of a feel for the console and its' hardware (and so did all the 3rd party companies), so at least they still have that advantage, as well as a deeper catalog of games. And yeah, an early summer release would have been better, but honestly, consoles only seem to launch in the fall anymore.
As for the Lost World, Nintendo is publishing it in Europe and Australia, while SEGA remains the primary publishers and publishes it in Japan and North (and South?) America. That still makes it a 3rd party release, albeit a limited 3rd party release.
As for MGSV, Sakurai doesn't care about Nintendo really, and he is off in his own little world. He does what he wants, and doesn't care about "deserving."
And MGSV is probably going to get delayed and made for the PS4 and Xbox One only, and require too much RAM (more than 2GB) to work on the WiiU. Also, we've gotten MGS games on Nintendo consoles more recently than F-Zero, Metroid, and Mother games (MGS 3D), so yeah. MGS always has been pushing the cutting edge technologically since the original MGS, and judging by how inferior the WiiU's RAM is compared to the Xbox One and PS4 (2GM compared to 8GB), and how I think the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be cancelled, I don't think it is that big of a deal.

Agree'd. But I'm gonna try to stay optimistic, but this news of him working on Sticker Star. Yeesh! That's gonna put a damper on my anticipation. Stop planting seeds of doubt into my head! LOL

Well part of the reason of the Xbox1's success was the price and the fact that it was the newest device on the block without anything to contest it. So it was able to build a big enough fan base (despite RROD) to keep the 360 on top until late last year when the PS3 finally surpassed it. I'd say they took advantage of the opportunity and Sony's arrogance to make the 360 a success.

So I guess it's kind of a blurred line between 2md and 3rd party. But as long as Nintendo is involved with the project it will automatically become 2nd party since they have their hand in the pie so-to-speak

But MGS V is coming to 360 and PS3, which the Wii U is obviously more powerful than. So there is no excuse for it not to be workable on the Wii U. Yes, we got a port of a PS2 game, The least the Wii U could get is a HD port of MGS 4 or a HD collection.
