Yeah, that set was sick, but the Bowser/Fox set was incredible; it could be one of the 10 best sets I've ever seen.

-Placement of official artwork is skewed from position of the border around it.
-Instead of underneath, the in-game screenshots are behind the character border.

Though that rumor of that third Mewtwo form may totally throw this for a loop. Though since it's not in the movie, it might not exist in Smash Bros.

I've always regarded Mewtwo as genderless and sterile, based on its origins in Gen 1. Same goes for Mew and Ditto.

(What I do know of Pokemon lore is that Mew is super, super rare, and that there is a not-so implied connection between it and the Pokes that govern the cosmology of the Pokemon universe, like Palkia, Dialga, and Arceus. IIRC, those Pokemon do not breed.)

But a female Mewtwo? Great, no big deal. Not that I pay much attention to the Pokemon canon anyway.

This is why I hope Smash 4 has really good balance. That way, we can see some huge variety in tournaments.

While Melee is far from perfect, so far out of all the people left, we have the following characters as main characters or prominently used characters by people who are still alive in EVO in Melee:
-Fox, Falco, Sheik, Marth, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, and Peach players galore (7 characters).
-Quite a few Ganondorf, Dr. Mario, Samus, Young Link, Ice Climber players, including my pal Chok!!! (5 characters).
-A select few Mario, Luigi, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, and Zelda player(s) left. (5 characters).

That is at least 17 of the 26 characters, if not 18 or more characters, being represented in the quarter-finals. That's a pretty good margin. Considering 2 characters are vastly inferior to similar characters (Roy to Marth, Pichu to Pikachu), 17 out of 24 is pretty good of characters left.

That is also not counting players who have played other characters in tournaments recently (ie: Taj, who plays Marth and Mewtwo who made), but only characters that will definitely be pulled out.

Heck, that one super good G&W might still be left, Bowser if Gimpyfish survived somehow, one of the few Link players who possibly snuck in, one of the few Yoshi players who may have survived, and Taj, who as previously mentioned could pull out Mewtwo in the right situation.

Also, today on the streams I literally saw every character... minus Mewtwo, Mr. Game & Watch, Pichu, Kirby, and Link, and I know for a fact at least one person played Mr. Game & Watch for legit and several people played Link.

So that means literally every character but 3 maximum weren't played (Pichu, Kirby, and Mewtwo, aka the bottom tier).

The fact that there will be one was leaked by the same source from months back that leaked a crapton of legitimate info for X/Y that is being proven more and more accurate with each new set of info.

It really doesn't matter if it wasn't shown in the movie; it's irrelevant to the X/Y leak.
All it means is that Mewtwo B won't get the form in the anime continuity. At least, not yet if at all. Or the form could go to Mewtwo A instead in some future OVA or movie, who knows.

THIS. Well at least in brawl's competitive scene I'd think guys like Olimar would be a bit funner to watch...

1. Brawl's competitive scene is still second fiddle to Melee.
2. Olimar is pretty boring.
3. The only "exciting" characters aren't top tier characters in Brawl.
4. Brawl has less viable characters in tournaments despite a roster with 13 more characters.
5. One character wins roughly half of the tournaments. In Melee, it's something like the #1 characters wins maybe like 20-25% of the tournaments.

Tried watching the bracket pools, but it was impossible not to switch back to VGBC knowing that Mew2king is playing . He's definitely one of the top world players of Melee. He is the only person to play top competition in both Melee and Brawl, making him (in my opinion) the best Smash series player.

Melee is by far the harder and more advanced game technically, strategically, (feasible) option-wise, and in terms of just depth, and quite frankly Mew2King is at the moment at best the 4th best player in the world (behind at least Armada, Dr. PP, and Mango, and probably even H-Box), and by the end of the year, he could be many spots below that because the competition is catching up to him.

Plus Mew2King's era of dominance wasn't nearly as impressive, deep, or dominant as Mango or Armada's respective reigns were. That's not to say he isn't great; he's one of the most revolutionary, important, and dominant smash champions ever. But in Melee, he's not at the top, and he seems to be slowly slipping in terms of rank.

Also, Melee players in general are more technical, skilled, and strategically better.

If we're gonna start proclaiming the beset smash game series player, let's start with Isai, the most dominant smash champ at any smash game ever (Smash 64, winning with the worst characters in the biggest tournaments routinely), one of the most dominant Melee players for years, and arguably the greatest Melee teams player of all-time. The man is a big reason why teams matter IMO, and his team play quite frankly redefined smash competitively IMO (if you ask me, competitive smash needs more team-based everything).

I'm not saying Mewtwo's unseen form isn't real (heck, I'm certain it is). I read your question asking about the unseen form as asking if it was in the movie, so I gave you the answer.
