It doesn't look like Awakening Wood or Perplexing Pool, so if it's not from Pikmin 3, it's a random part of the planet they came up with for a stage.

Yeah, I don't recognize that are from Pikmin 1 or 2, but then again, I didn't play a ton of either game. I just assume it is new.

Who else thinks Sakurai was forced to do this to help promote Pikmin 3, with the link on Olimar's page and everything?
EDIT: And the fact that he's positioned even before the newcomers, making him the one who will likely be most clicked.

IIRC he was also called Pikmin & Olimar on the Brawl DOJO as well, so this isn't that surprising.

Miyamoto did say Olimar would be in Pikmin 3, but so far he's only known appearance in the game is in Multi-player battle.

Can't believe I didn't notice this already, but look at how much the Pikmin have improved since Brawl. They aren't nearly as low-poly as before. So pretty.
