Just noticed this but Olimar's new look is kinda weird with that whistle sticking on his helmet.

Well before he pulled out the whistle, so that appears to be for convenience.

Also, I wonder if we can expect this for more games' release date (in Japan or elsewhere).

Sakurai is clearly using that release date thing to get in our heads and troll us!!!

Actually, I think that confirms either the Mega or Mini Mushroom.
In Smash terms, the Pikmin are either way too small or Kirby is way too big.

I'd say Peach is more likely newcomer to be revealed next. After her it is followed by Yoshi and Meta Knight.

I think Luigi, if he's revealed at all, will be either late this year or at the very end of the reveals.

I'm honestly surprised Yoshi hasn't been shown yet. There's been two new Yoshi games announced and he's the only veteran that's been in every game as a default character that we haven't seen yet.

Hopefully he's been reworked, like Bowser and Pit were.

In hindsight today was a celebration of Pikmin 3's release, almost exactly a month after the first reveal, and let's say EVO (for all you competitive Smashers out there).

To be fair he also kinda did this with Villager with New Leaf. Not going to say we're looking at a trend, though I will say that we're all delirious from staying up late and over speculating again.

Anyway I'm heading off to bed so I'll leave this here so I can exit in style.

I think Yoshi is going to be reworked like Bowser and Pit, definitely. And yeah, for whatever reason, he was the last character of the original 8 revealed in Brawl, too, even after the Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island stage and the Yoshi's Story (Ending) theme with the "crying" Yoshi's all but confirmed Yoshi as a playable character.

Yeah you're right, I was only saying there's nothing to really indicate this will be any different from last time, as he had the same name in the English DOJO as he does this time as well.

I'm just saying that because more streamlined names, languages, and voice actors probably means that a worldwide same day release date is much more likely, as would the 2 games being released about the same time everywhere. That is why I am bringing that up.

I don't want to wait 2 months after the release to play it, and I am fairly certain Europeans and Australians don't want to wait like 5-7 months again. Heck, if Pokémon can do a worldwide release date, why can't smash bros=??? There's really no reason not to, even with the stupid region-locking system in place.

I think that fighting ANY character in lag is stressful, as long as the player knows what he/she is doing.

Also, a bunch of Virtual Console Mega Man games were release the day of/the day after Mega Man was revealed in Smash WiiU and 3DS.

Well his feet are much smaller than his body, so he's doing one of his animations where his body grows for a split second for some exaggerated effect. I'M SURE EVERYONE HAS SEEN WHAT HAPPENS TO YOSHI WHEN YOU PAUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS SWALLOWING ANIMATION.

NeatherRealm gets Mortal Kombat 9 pulled for using their characters, and Injustice pulled for having Scorpion in it after paying all that money for those 2 games to be in EVO.
