My secondary main Olimar is back! And there don't seem to be any changes to him either.

He looks great and the Pikmin aren't low-poly like Brawl. The new Pikmin stage looks very good too.

I woke up not too long ago and this made my day already.

That new stage looks beautiful. I don't remember how Distant Planet looked cause I rarely played on it but man I'm liking the new Pikmin stage a lot from these pictures.

I'm happy for Olimar, he didn't get replaced with a newer rep, but now the speculation begins about two Pikmin reps o:
I personally don't see it happening, but I suppose it's not super unlikely. Unless Rock and flying Pikmin are revealed to be his special moves, or maybe assist trophies or something like that, then I think it's super unlikely.

Seems like all the new stages in this game are very basic compared to previous games. I didn't like the old Pikmin stage much but hoy, this new one kind of looks like another simple, flat stage.

I thought of a dynamic Pikmin stage back in 2007.

You'd start out on the S.S. Dolphin orbiting above the Pikmin Planet while chunks of asteroids fly by occasionally and damage those who touch them.

Eventually, a large asteroid hits the ship and it breaks apart and everyone falls down through the atmosphere for a while. You fight in the air while avoiding flaming pieces of the ship that are falling with you.

Then you land in a random area from any of the 5 locations from Pikmin 1 and fight on the ground again. Pieces of the ship will crash down near you shortly after landing and will cause heavy damage. You'd avoid the local enemies in the area for a while and then some Pikmin would walk around picking up the chunks of the ship and carry them back to somewhere.

After a while, you are teleported back into orbit, but on a different ship (like the ship from Pikmin 2)
And the cycle repeats. You can also fight on the Dolphin again, of course.

If a stage like this appears in SSB4, it should be an unlockable.
I don't want all or most of the awesome stages to be starters.

We still haven't seen it all. We've probably seen maybe 2/4 at most.
Besides, this pic kinda proves its not flat.

That was what Olimar was first revealed as on the Brawl Dojo, it's also his name in the Japanese version. It will likely just be Olimar again.

Uh... I dunno why I'm so glad to see him back. Like, I don't really have much attachment to him or anything...

But if we truly were to go with release dates for character reveals, then this get interesting. On the other hand I dunno again, because it depends heavily on games which could reveal this or that character.

I guess I could predict Toad during 3D World's release.

Yoshi too before New Yoshi's Artoon Arzets Island or Yoshi's Epic Yarn. Depends here now and then.

But so far I'll take the upper theory with grain of salt, unless the trend truly starts to show.

I don't think it's really that (only perhaps), but I think having three Pikmins is much more manageable than 6. At least from a combat standpoint because you get the choose the Pikmin you wanted to use much faster. Not to mention making sets might me more concise and easier this time.

I actually seriously considered that, and I'd like it. Obviously he'd only have Red, Blue, and Yellow, and he probably wouldn't be able to pluck more. (Thus giving him a new b and making the pikmin invincible.)
Of course, its 4 AM here and I haven't slept in over 45 hours, so I'm probably talking nonsense.

Anyway, so Olimar's been confirmed. Was there ever much doubt? Wonder how Sakurai got past that AI bug the 3DS version would cause? What does this mean for the Ice Climbers? And could we ACTUALLY see Diddy+Dixie duo?

Glad Olimar is back.

Also looks like there is five more characters that are going to be revealed on that site. (maybe) Basically whenever you are on a character page scroll down right to the bottom to view the other character icons and click the next button to reveal the other characters. There are now five boxes left, before Olimar was revealed I actually counted how many boxes there was after pit and there was six. If we go by a character being revealed every month then the last box left will be filled up in December, which means that may mean that is all we will be getting and for next year there might be hardly any "new" character reveals. Just a thought that I am posting so I can quote myself if I am right haha.

To be honest, I think people are overthinking the whole empty boxes theory. I think those are just empty boxes, when it's filled, it's filled. I don't think that its trying to tell us anything other than there are more characters.

I think it's better for us to avoid looking for patterns such as this, we would be setting are selves up for disappointment.
That being said, I think that getting character reveals around the release date of new games sounds more likely, than every month.

We should definitely, keep our eyes peeled around the release dates of:

• Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
• Pokemon X/Y
• Super Mario 3D World
• (Possibly) Sonic Lost World
